"Radio Frequency Indentification chips"  

...new twist to the familiar bar code identification used currently for pricing and other id data.

Being developed aggressively outside the U.S.(in Mexico, Proctor and Gamble, etc....)

Our current bar codes id categories of items.

The RFID will id individual items; its technology enables a virtually infinite application.  For example, each pack of cigarettes will have its own individual, disposable id.

Wal-Mart, so goes one report, is asking all its vendors or suppliers to imbed these in their product, by eoy 2004.

The RFID will allow complete tracking from origin to finish of any item--including being imbedded in currency, apparel, packaging...

Thios is interesting, concerning Proctor and Gamble, it seems I remembered something about this company's CEO, being a Satanist or Homosexual, or perhaps both.

Proctor and Gambles was or is on the list of companies, Christians had banned from doing business, because of this many years ago.

On CBS News, yesterday, Wal-Mart and Pentagon now requiring suppliers to use the RFID chips.
