"and with His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

A preacher and an atheistic barber were once walking through the city slums.

Said the barber to the preacher: “This is why I cannot believe in a God of love. If God was as kind as you say, He would not permit all this poverty, disease, and squalor. He would not allow these poor bums to be addicted to dope and other character-destroying habits. No, I cannot believe in a God who permits these things.”

The minister was silent until they met a man who was especially unkempt and filthy. His hair was hanging down his neck and he had a half-inch of stubble on his face. Said the minister: “You must not be a very good barber because you wouldn't permit a man like that to continue living in this neighborhood without a haircut and shave.” Indignantly the barber answered: “Why blame me for that man's condition? I can't help it that he is like that. He has never come in my shop; I could fix him up and make him look like a gentleman!”

Giving the barber a penetrating look, the minister said: “Then don't blame God for allowing the people to continue in their evil ways, when He is constantly inviting them to come and be saved.”

As the seventeenth century theologian, John Owen, said, "He who prays as he ought, will endeavor to live as he prays."

The Lord is trying to awake the Church and bring it out of slumber. But the Church keeps saying that the Lord is trying to awaken the sinner by all that is happening. It is time that we as intercessors fall before the Throne on behalf of The Body of Christ that slumbers and sleeps.

The  Church as a whole needs to awaken and realize that
we are in a state of Spiritual War! The Church can not
continue to go on with "status-quo" and go about its
daily activity as it does for the most part. Assemblies
are  closing services right and left over our nation and going to one service a week.

Is this not a sign of Spiritual lukewarmness?

When we go through trials,

think of it as a way to help

someone else during the

crisis or in the future...

AMEN!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

That reminds me of the song by Kris Kristofferson "Why Me Lord"...the second verse goes:

Tell me Lord, if you think there's a way, that I could repay, all I've taken from You...Maybe Lord, I can show someone else, what I've been through myself, on my way back to You!

Lord help me Jesus, I've wasted it so, help me Jesus, I know what I am...now that I know, how I've needed You so, help me Jesus, my soul's in Your hands.

Take Christ out of Christianity and you

disembowel it;

there is practically nothing left.

Christ is the center of Christianity;

all else is circumference

Jesus Said:

“But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.”  Romans 4:5

Sometimes, when you reach Rock Bottom....its God trying to show you that He's the Rock at the bottom.
