The body of Christ does not…

keep the law of Moses
talk in unknown tongues
sell all they have
circumcise
heal the sick
raise the dead
look for signs
get physical curses for doing evil
get physical blessings for doing good
collect the tithe
water baptize
look for new Jerusalem
work for salvation
endure to the end
go into the tribulation
cast out demons
etc., etc,. etc..
All these things belong to the nation of Israel!

However the body of Christ …

has all spiritual blessings
has a heavenly hope
has eternal life by grace through faith
will not go through the wrath to come
will get a personal escort off this planet by the Son Of God himself
does preach the gospel of the Grace of God
has personal, instant, access to God apart from a priest
is complete in Christ
is secure in Christ
is baptized in Christ
is circumcised in Christ
is dead with Christ
is risen with Christ
is alive in Christ
will rule in the heavens with Christ
has victory over sin - right now
is part of a total victory program - right now
knows the will of God - right now

These are things that relate ONLY to the church the body of Christ! And this is only a quick, random sampling!!

If we were to number them, on the NOT list, I would agree with the following provisos: 1. Unknown tongues=yes, except tongues for edification and a personal prayer as in speaking mysteries to God, I would have to say are available but not all use it.

2. We do NOT heal the sick, but God still does in response to a believer's prayer; eg., Pray ye one for another that you will be healed.

3. There have been 2 fairly recent resurrections that have been documented by a believer. You can read about them on the Web Site of Andrew Womack. I believe them to be legitimate but I was not there. Andrew is a true man of God and noted for his integrity.

All of the others I agree with. I was miraculously healed, so I can speak to that first hand.

2.talk in unknown tongues-First there are two types of tongues.
A.Xenoglossia: (a.k.a. Zenolalia, Xenoglossia) This is the miraculous ability to spontaneously speak a foreign language without first having learned it, or even been exposed to it.

B.Glossolalia: The Interpreter's One-Volume Commentary on the Bible defines glossolalia as: "the ecstatic utterance of emotionally agitated religious persons, consisting of a jumble of disjointed and largely unintelligible sounds. Those who speak in this way believe that they are moved directly by a divine spirit and their utterance is therefore quite spontaneous and unpremeditated." 3

I beleive Tongues consitant with Glossolalia are still in use.

3.sell all they have-If Lord is speaking to you,would you deny him?Pick up your cross?

4.circumcise-I beleive all male should be,but not for the blood reason.Cleaness becomes a issue for those un-circumcised.

5.heal the sick-We cant heal the sick,only God can.Yes it is still donr along with many miracles.

6.raise the dead-Never known this to be done.Nevertheless in Jesus name,tell me what is impossable?
7.look for signs-Yes iam looking for signs,when i see Jesus in the clouds comeing to rapture his people,thats a sign.
8.get physical curses for doing evil-Not sure,but this comes to mind,every action has a reaction.Do evil expect evil?
9.get physical blessings for doing good-physical?Walk with the Lord and the blessing are two numerous to count!!
10.collect the tithe-give as you can,your time,money what ever you can offer.
11.water baptize-Yes,we are told too many times in the Bible to be baptised.Jesus tells us to do it.
12.look for new Jerusalem-not sure what you mean on that one,but in rev. it talks about a new jerusalem.
13.work for salvation-not possable to work for salvation.
14.endure to the end-Not sure what this means?
15.go into the tribulation-Again not sure,but there will be a tribulation.
16.cast out demons-In Jesus name what isnt possable?
