Okay, you all have probably heard the verse in 1st Corinthians:
Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

So... what do you guys think this means?

Like do you think God uses this in order to help us with every day temptations, and provided you're wanting to do His will, do you think he guarantees away out on demand, every time? Or do you think it is more of a learning process, that you are not guaranteed to be free of your temptation right away?

any ideas?

This is a really good question. I think the responsibility is in our court, but if we're taking the fullest measures possible and making full use of the grace He has given us, He gives us more. But we're never guaranteed free of temptation ever. In fact, when we think we are, that's when satan hits us.

Amen, Whitehorse! When we're weak and we realize our frailties and weak spots, that is when God makes us strong. But when we think we're invincible and no longer prone to sin, then Satan pricks our balloon, and we fall.

totally agree with what all have said , just like to add , i think it means God knows our limits and would not let us be victim to unbearable temptation , i think He allows us to still be able to see His love through it so if we reach out to Him and keep faith in Him He will see us through it.
He knows every man as His limit , and i don't think He would let us be victim to unbearable temptation if He didn't think we were strong enough. We give into some temptation out of a lack of faith , but could any man bear the temptation Christ suffered.
He wouldn't let us get in over our heads so that we are unable to chose Him.
don't know if i've explained this right.
anyway.
God bless.
