Two nice improvements I've noticed so far, too: The messages indicator at the top also distinguishes between new and old ones.
Also, when replying to an IM, the original message is included underneath, for easy referral to what they said.

Please let me add my thanks for getting the site back up. I find that I'm addicted to Christians Unite. I also missed the verse of the day, devotionals, and other help for webmasters. The dynamic content help you offer to webmasters is a ministry in itself, as visitors get to read inspirational messages and beautiful Scriptures from his Holy Word. I had a page devoted to Christians Unite, and I'm getting it back up now.
