I haven't heard of them either.
Although there is a national landmark here in nz by the same name. lol

Amen!!!
Good post......
3  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Star Chamber Courts on: November 19, 2003, 02:54:15 PM
I think it's really freaky to be honest with you.  The whole spirit of antichrist seems to be getting bigger and bigger unfortunately.  didn't Jesus say to his disciples "blessed are those who do not fall away on account of me"....or something like that anyway.
4  Theology / Bible Study / Re:Galatians Overview on: November 19, 2003, 02:49:07 PM
Thanks for all that.....I've often wondered what the background is about the Galatians.  I must admit that I'm actually fascinated with biblical history so reading what you've posted is very refreshing.
5  Theology / Bible Study / Re:Galatians Bible Study on: November 19, 2003, 02:44:11 PM
To me it is saying (and I may be wrong here so correct me if I am) that he is a disciple of Jesus not a disciple of men in general.  Men haven't called him but Jesus did.
6  Entertainment / Books / Re:Watchman Nee on: November 18, 2003, 04:36:33 PM
I think I have actually read some of his books.
I'll have a look through my books and see if I've got any there by him.

What books has he written?
His name is definitely familiar though.
8  Entertainment / Books / Re:Left Behind Series on: November 16, 2003, 07:57:37 PM
I found the left behind series books a wee bit boring for me I'm afraid but the "raptured" one I mentioned (above) scared the heck out of me because it is more like a hyped up, truthful, scary account of what "could" happen when Christ comes back.  It's really a worthwhile book to read.  I couldn't put it down.
9  Entertainment / Books / Left Behind Series on: November 15, 2003, 05:44:43 PM
Has anyone out there read the Left Behind series?
I got the first book in the series and read it after hearing and reading so many good reviews about it.  However I am a little disappointed as I dont think it is as good as what other people think it is.  I have also read a similar book called "raptured" by Ernest Angley which actually scared the heck out of me.  Any views?
10  Fellowship / Testimonies / Re:Party, to a new life! on: November 15, 2003, 05:41:18 PM
Thanks for sharing your testimony.
I was raised Catholic as well by my mother until I pretty much turned to alcohol and drugs as a teenager and then became a Christian when I was about 23 I think.  But anyway, can you see throughout your life where perhaps the Lord had his hand on you guiding you?
11  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:Dear Peachykeen on: November 15, 2003, 05:28:12 PM
You know Peachykeen, I really admire you.  You seem like someone who wants to stay pure until they are married.  Good on you I say!!! I wasn't a Christian when I was a teenager so I didn't know about how God wants us to save ourselves for our spouses but I wish that I had saved myself though for my husband.  With so much peer pressure and sex out there in the world, I think you are doing the right thing and once again, I really admire you.  keep it up!!!
12  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Is it true that God will provide us our needs? on: November 15, 2003, 05:21:27 PM
Yes God does provide for our needs - he's done it too many times for me and my family not to believe it.
Every time, we've needed something, it's been provided to us from people we don't know to family members who have given it to us.  We've never asked for it but we've prayed for it to God and he has always answered.
I can't speak for the "Christians around the world who are starving" though.
13  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Butter vs Margarine on: November 15, 2003, 05:16:46 PM
We have both butter and margarine here in nz, but personally I prefer butter because it has less additives and preservatives in it.
