31  Theology / Debate / Re: What is the name of this Church ? on: December 28, 2010, 06:56:40 PM
Dan, the name of this thread which you started is ''WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS CHURCH''?  I continue to ask, if in the plural theiy are churches, assemblies or called out of Christ WHAT would they be in the singular of Rom.16:16??  Why church  of Christ or assembly of Christ our the called out of Christ, of course.
God bless,

32  Theology / Debate / Re: Can a Gentiles be Circumcisied without being Jewish ??? on: December 28, 2010, 05:16:16 PM
Hi Dan
The conversion of Cornelius found in Acts chapters 10 and 11 reveal (among other things) that Cornelius was a gentile ( Acts 10:45 and ll:18 and that he was uncircumcised Acts 11:3.  As you have said, context is important.

33  Theology / Debate / Re: Why do we have to confess sins ?? on: December 28, 2010, 11:57:37 AM
Hello Dan

Still waiting for you to handle what the beloved apostle John said about "if" and "sin" and "deceive"" and the "truth" not in us and making God a "liar" in I Jn.1:7-10.  I cannot allow you to change the subject and walk away from the issue.

And while we are at it, what about John's statement in I Jn.2:1: "- - - -if any man sin,- - -"  ?  Please inform.
Above all,
God loves you - - -duval
34  Theology / Debate / Re: Does the Body of Christ have a Covenant ?? on: December 28, 2010, 11:32:54 AM
Hi Dan

Thats the point.  The absence of "ethnos" in Acts 2:39 teaches the inclusion of the gentile and also the absence of "ethnos" in Acts 2:39 teaches the difference between it and Dan.9:7 where "ethnos" IS found.  Search the scriptures Dan and free yourself of the "journals" etc.  written by men.

God bless and best wishes

35  Theology / Debate / Re: What is the name of this Church ? on: December 28, 2010, 11:18:11 AM
Hi Dan

So again I ask: If they were called churches of Christ in the plural ( Rom.16:16) what would they be in the singular??

Or, if you prefer: If they were called assemblies of Christ in the plural ( Rom.16:16 ) what would theiy be in the singular??

Remember, its your thread on the name of the church, assembliy or called out. Please deal with it.

36  Theology / Debate / Re: How was Paul Baptized ?? on: December 27, 2010, 09:47:11 PM
Hi Dan:
The command of Acts 1:4 is "WAIT".  Wait for what? The "PROMISE".  The promise of what? The baptism of the Holy Spirit, thats WHAT!  Vs.5.  Read your Bible.  You CANNOT OBEY A PROMISE. Jesus was to baptize with the Hloly Spirit and DID!  Matt.3:11.

Man was to baptize with water.  Can you prove other wise with the scripture??

I'll go one step further:  Holy Spirit baptism fell upon ONLY the apostles of Jesus the Christ.  Can you prove otherwise with the scripture?  That means no man incliuding you has been baptized with the Holy Spirit,  but look out for "fire" baptism".

God bless,
duval

Hi Jerry

Yes, I will re do my last question which was:
IS WATER BAPTISM A COMMAND OR PROMISE?

Your answser was: ''Neither, to state it is a command would indicate that there is a consequence for failure to act.

Jerry, my answer to yours is:  water baptism IS a command to be obeyed, and I cite as proof Acts 10:47,48.  Please read that.  You are right in saying that if a command it "would indicate that there is a consequence for failiure to act."

Thus Holly Spirit baptism was a PROMISE TO BE RECEIVED ( MATT.3:11) and water baptism is a "COMMAND TO BE OBEYED."
41  Theology / Debate / Re: Acts 22:16 and Acts 9:17 was Paul Baptized ??? on: December 27, 2010, 04:31:31 PM
Hi Dan

Methinks one should less time reading such things as  the "JOURNAL OF PAULINE DISPENSATIONALISM" and much more time reading the scripture.   Jesus said "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.  And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life."

I am well acquainted with I Cor.6:9-11. Please note, says NOTHING about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, drather it says " _ _ _ and by the pirit of our God."  Do you not recognize the fact that there are different admininstations or gifts of the Spirit??   Has your "Journal" not covered this truth?

God bless'duval

I suppose it does appear as a "robot" when my 2 questions have been asked repedeatly and receive no answers.  To your credit you tried in your last post and I shall attend to your answers.

In your post # 59 you wrote: "Now you have expanded your mentions by stating it is Jesus administering the baptism."  If by "baptism" you mean Holy Spirit baptism that is correct.  John the Baptist said in Matt.3:11:  "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:  he shall baptize you witih the Holy Ghost, and fire:"  Note please Jerry, Jesus is the administrator and it is also a promise!

Now, to your answers to my 2 questions.  You wrote: "Ican and believe have answered."  Lets see if you really have.

MY  FIRST QUESTION WAS:  ''IS HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM A PROMISE OR COMMAND?"
Your answer: " Promise, because Bible says that if we believe in the Gospel of Jesus, that  God  will cleanse us of  our sin.
My answer :  True idt is a promise.  HKowever the remainder of your answerhas nothing to do with our subject of the baptism of the Holy pidrit.  Yes, Holy pirit baptism is a "promise"  AND A PROMISE CANNOT BE OBEYED."

MY SECOND QUESTION WAS: is water baptism a command or promise?

yOU ANSWERED:"Neither, to state it is is a command would indicate that there is a coknsequence for failure to act."

The Bible ansewer is found in cts 10:47,48- - - JK esus said "efarch the scriptures"---duva
