31  Entertainment / Television / Re:to TV or not to TV on: October 24, 2003, 07:22:46 PM
I dont have a T.V. and I think Im a lot better off .
I dont even miss it, because its not apart of my life any more.
Television is hard to control, mainly the comercials.
I would not want my kids watching one on their own.
32  Fellowship / You name it!! / The Gospel is so Revealing! on: October 23, 2003, 06:47:20 PM
John 3:16 For God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

This passage of scripture reveals to us all Just how Great God and His love for us is.We may not believe it but it is undeniable. No such Love is Possible except for God. Its really to much to totaly fathem, and it should never lose our greatest effection. But we need to think on these Kind of truths , to set our hearts on Fire or to brighten the flame.

So how does the Gospel effect you? What does it mean to you? How do you see God in all of this.Id love to hear some sharing on this Great Love story. Smiley Smiley
God Bless you as you think on the Gospel of your salvation!!!

33  Theology / General Theology / Re:Is Water Baptism needed for Salvation? The Bible says no. on: October 23, 2003, 06:20:04 PM
It seems the reason that those disiples that were Baptied by John, had not recieved the Holy Spirit is , Because John was only Baptising in water.

Jesus the one who came after John as John said ,  John 1:33 "the same is he that Baptised in the Holy Ghost."

There is no second Baptism in the Spirit for a Christian. But fillings yes.Our Fellowship with the Lord and Blessings of the Holy spirit are Conditional. As we obey Him.But once we are saved , we are sealed until the day of redemption. We need only to trust and Obey as there is no other way to be Happy in Jesus, but to trust and Obey.   Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
34  Theology / General Theology / Re:Is Water Baptism needed for Salvation? The Bible says no. on: October 22, 2003, 10:43:13 PM
Water baptism was a part of the obedience for the first Jews in acts 2 so in their situation I believe that all believed were baptised, as the word of God called them to obey.

But in other conversions baptisim is not called upon for obedience.

"Whosever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved".

I dont believe Baptism is nessary for salvation, but a saved person would want to be Baptised.

If God calls you to Baptism then just Trust and obey him.

35  Theology / General Theology / Re:Tolerance, a relegion all it's own? on: October 21, 2003, 08:57:22 PM
Just to add a thought , I believe a Christian should never tolerate his own sin, nor particapate in the sins of others. But we are to be tolerant of others as much as is possible for us, but not their sins, thats sometimes hard to handle.  Thats a life only God can live through us, we really need his help daily.

Maybe Psalm 1:1  could help preserve us from getting into trouble.    Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.2 But His delight is in the Law of the Lord...

36  Prayer / Answered Prayer / Prayer is so effective on: October 20, 2003, 10:58:58 PM
Ive seen alot of answers to prayer in the last 6 months, more than the last 6 years maybe.
Ive found that it is good to ask many to pray for your concerns, it seems to bring bigger ships to unload.
I think of the early church that prayed for peter I think it was who was in jail , and an earthquake opened up the jail etc.

Recently my mother was in a car accident, she was crushed from behind by a truck, the police said she was fortunate to be alive, she was hurt , but lived. Praise God , it sure seems to have helped her in spiritual ways, and she got a large settlement as well, she was broke, now she is not. Please pray for Her too! I really dont know state before the Lord if she is saved or not.But I think she will come around.

My Job situation is better than Ive seen for a long time, but prayer was needed to keep it as some workers tried to get rid of me, now they are looking for work else were, prayer really changes things. Gives me patients too.

I like the instant answers to prayer the most, and why not?

Heres one that really sticks out in my mind right now.

About 10 yrs ago I was driving to a hockey game, travelling about 50 miles phr,  I noticed up ahead that a car was in the ditch and cars were stopped  on the road.
So I put on the brakes and sure enough my car seemed to speed up, I was sliding on ice, the car started sliding sideways, and I knew for sure that was going to hit those stopped cars on the road, I was traveling sideways totally out of control,Ive many times been in skids, but this time there was nothing I could do.  So I simply asked the Lord to please help me. And the car turned straight and slowed down , like nothing was wrong, I dont think that anyone else noticed but the guys at the rink though maybe I was drinking or something. That was so awesome, He really is at Hand.

40  Theology / General Theology / Re:Tolerance, a relegion all it's own? on: October 18, 2003, 06:50:30 PM
If the socalled tolerent people were really what they claim, they would never accuse a person of intolerence, because then they would be intolerent people forcing their agenda upon those that are different from them , then their punnishment should be administered to them first, since they started the act act of being intolerent.Maybe then the world would have more peace, no body gets offended.Just alot of wierdo s keeping peace.
Not in this evil world.

42  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Rapture........ on: October 13, 2003, 05:41:04 AM
Thanks musicllover for the nice welcome!

When I hear the promises of the Gospel of the kingdom.
Then I must conclude all that partake of the Gospel must be together because the result of believing the Gospel is one.
So whosoever believes in Jesus Christ the Lord, Jew or Gentile is in Christ. Which is His body the church. Sealed until the day of redemption.
There is no other gospel, which would be needed to have another body of believers. No where in the bible is two gospels ever mentioned ,rather only one.
One God, one faith, one baptism, one Gospel ,one kingdom, one household of God,one Israel, one church. they are all inclusive. In the kingdom of God.

So how can we say that those saints in the tribulation are not members of the body of Christ, which is the church?

There would have to be another way to God, another gospel, and that is totally  impossible according to the Bible.

So all are one in one God.

I know it sounds really simple, but thats the way I believe the bible has it.  Makes good sense too, because they are all together in the end . Smiley May God Bless you as you Ponder this!

I understand what your saying, but I've never thought about tribulation saints being a part of any other body of believers. All in all they are still a part of the original body if here or in Heaven. This is a new concept for me, that is why I am asking for scripture. I agree that that as in Eph we are one body, one baptism ect ect.
Explain how you believe that tribulation would seperate the boby? Or maybe it would be the pre trib rapture that seperates us. And I can pray and study, possilbe understand where you are coming from.
RICH blessing to the believers of Jesus CHrist this beautiful day.

Musicllover hello! I do not believe anything can divide the 1 body of Christ, and that all that believe in Christ are in the 1 body.pre or post trib = 1body.
But many pre tribbers believe that at the pretrib rapture the body of Christ is complete. And those saved in the  trib are not of the church which is the 1 body. But then if that were true then another gospel would be needed, and that is not possible. Some think that the old covenant will be reinstated and Jews will get saved too, this is not possible either.
Only 1 Gospel for ever , only 1 way Jesus for Jew first and Gentile.

God Bless !!!

You said........I dont know what you believe ,but this argument puts a rather large hole in Pre trib rapture theory.....

Only if you believe that there are 2 bodies, I don't believe there is any diff in the before or after saints. Those taken up with Jesus, then some will die during trib, some will live thru. I'm not sure if I am following you correctly.  Like I said earlier I don't see how a "rapture" would seperate the body of believers? If you belong to Christ, before then you'll be raptured up to meet Jesus in the air, and that is it...... there is no one saved from that point on, I'm not sure I would agree with that teaching, I need to study more, but at the moment I believe if you become a "tribulation saint, your saved to be with Jesus.  If you live thru the time of tribulations then I would think God would still honor your sincerity.......that being those who have truly asked and recieved. I have just never heard of this teaching before, so its new to me.  A scripture from John 10, Jesus talks about the sheep pen, and the sheep know the shepards voice and will follow only his voice. And that there are "other Sheep, that are not of this pen..." Jesus is the gate, the only way to Heaven, as the sheep know his voice. NO one who knows Jesus voice will be left behind.
I do believe that Jews do come to know who Jesus and are saved, not because of any restoring of the old testement convent. For a very short while a treaty is set up with Isreal, and animal sacrifices do begin again. The anit Christ breaks the treaty, abominations spoken about. .
But other than you "opinon" what script do you have to support yourself.
Rich blessings

A few scriptures that state that Christ is for all and the Gospel, which would exclude all other ways to God, what ever they are.

45  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:WHAT IS TRUTH? on: October 12, 2003, 10:00:00 PM
(the word of God) found in the bible.
The word shall endure for ever.
And prove the test of time.
Truth can not ever be supressed or concealed for long.Because God has a purpose for it."my word shall not return unto me void"
