Jude 1:3 says, "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was neeful for me to write unto you,, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saint.:

We should contend for the faith in Christian love but not be contentious in doing so!

I Peter 4:8 says, "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:  for charity shall cover a multitude of sins."

Christian truth spoken without true love is worthless;  therefore, less us practice the fruit of love in our daily lives.

Colossians 2:6-7 says, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lordd, so walk ye in him;  Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

He is the Vine, and we are the branches!  If we do not abide in Him, our Christian testimonies wither and die spiritually.  As a tree depends upon its roots for water, even so should depend upon Christ fo feed us through His word.  He is our Vine to give us spiritual water through the Word of God.

John 14:1-3 says, "Let not your hearts be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father's house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

The cure for troubled hearts is found by trusting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  As Savior, He saves us from sin, and as our Lord, He rules our lives and gives us peace for those troubled hearts that we all have!

II Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Bible study will get rid of a lot of isms that are contrary to the Word of God.  It will also give you the personal assurance of your eternal security in Christ, spiritual maturity if applied, and a closer walk with the Lord.  May God give us all a desire to study His word and apply it to our hearts and lives.

I Corinthians 12:13 says, "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into on Spirit."

I Corinthians 12:25 says, "That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another."

We need true Christian unity in the Christian family of God for it is His will!  Without unity, then we have Christian schisms which displeases the Lord!

Dr. J.R. Graves in his book entitled The work of Christ in the Covenant of Redemption Developed in Dispensations said concerning the judgment of Jesus Christ, "While all Christians will be saved, and each will be happy and contented with his stationh of service, yet they who have labored most and sacrificed the most for Christ and His cause here, will receive the largest rewards, and occupy the highest and most honorable offices. "  (Page 484)

Revelation 5:14 says, "And the four beast said, Amen.  And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped Him that liveth for ever and ever."

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit:  and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth."

Do we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth? That is the least we can give Him in devotion here on this earth!

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirit whether they are of God: because many falfse prophets are gone out into the world.

Test every Bible teacher to see if their major teachings are from the Lord Jesus Christ.  Why?  Because of the many false prophets who have gone out into the world!  The prosperity preachers, the cults who deny the Deity of Jesus Christ, the occults who worship the Devil, and liberal Protestant apostasy from the Word demands that we test the teachings of every Bible teacer and preacher.

The good news is that the R.F.I.D. bill is dead for now which would have microchipped driver's licenses and stored much personal information in the licenses.  Thirteen states have called for the rescinding of that bill.  This could stall the devil for a short while.

Ephesians 5:11-12 says, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful fruits of darkness, but rather reprove them. 

For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret."

The above verses are a motivation for those of us who are looking for the Lord's very soon return!  We should seek to shun personal and public evil and reprove and rebuke the sins of those evil sins with love.  The backyard deals in politics and corporate affairs such as Enron are only one of the many indicators that our Lord is returning very soon!

One of the most widely neglected virtues today is hospitality.  I Peter 4:9 says, "Use hospitality one to another without grudging."

One of my favorite verses is I Peter 4:16 which says, "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf."
