The prince of darkness has his converts
            See them stumble blindly on
            Worshipping the world he orders
            All believing in his con
            Just like lemmings they are heading
            For the hell of no return
            Where they realise their folly
            As their bodies scream and burn.

            We're the ones who have the answer
            Follow One who is the light
            We can radiate His purpose
            To release them from their plight
            Stand in Jesus name against them
            Banish satan from their midst
            Then The  Spirit will convince them
            As by Jesus they are kissed.

            
            Its very reassuring
            To know that when you sin
            There is a way back to your Dad
            He's sure to let you in
            For Jesus paid the penalty
            For all that we have done
            The cross was such a gruesome death
            But through the pain He won
            A  victory oer death and hell
            The devil was defeated
            And he has no more claim on us
            his majesty unseated
            So we say sorry for our lapse
            Repent and turn away
            Just follow Him who's done it all
            His word we must obey.

               

            You drive along so happily
            Upon a wholesome road
            Things are okay in your life
            A perfect episode
            Then you get a certain thought
            It is against the grain
            Just a peep, it cannot hurt
            The road to hell again.

            Getting sucked in by it's pull
            You leave your roots behind
            Obsession comes upon your soul
            It devastates your mind
            Trying hard to break the chain
            It lures you back again
            Covered in your filthy rags
            You feel an empty pain.

            Finally you see the light
            It shines upon the truth
            What you see is rather sad
            It shows a damning proof
            That you are safer where you are
            Within the Fathers arms
            Keeping all His children safe
            Away from satans charms.

               

            You start out on a journey
            Not knowing where it goes
            You hope that it will turn out well
            Whatever life will throw
            But still your walk is empty
            No matter what you gain
            An aching hole is in your heart
            A constant nagging pain.

            The world is not the answer
            It's riddled with disease
            And we are part of Adams fall
            A master hard to please
            The only way is Jesus
            He is the missing part
            Ask Him now to come on in
            To be your beating heart.

             

      Chugging along in the slipstream of life
      Deciding to go your own way
      Constantly found to be all at sea
      Floating around in the bay
      You're heading for the unseen rocks
      That lie beneath the waves
      Without an anchor you are doomed
      Cause only Jesus saves.

      Come into a haven safe
      And ask the captain in
      He will set a steady course
      Forgiving all your sin
      It's not too late to come ashore
      Before an early grave
      Terra firma waits for you
      Cause only Jesus saves.   

               

         You gaze upon your neighbours garden
         You are jealous of his beans
         Lushious looking hanging pendants   
         He is clever with his greens
         Making sure his soils provided
         With the goodness of manure
         Every crop will prove a winner
         Knows his onions that's for sure.

         Thinking on this revelation
         You begin to see the light
         You  have failed to tend and nurture
         Lack of care has caused your plight
         Preparation and devotion
         Brings a growth that bears much fruit
         Grow a closeness to  your maker
         Strengthen and maintain your root.

               

         Are you like a stick of rock
         With Jesus through and through
         Every single place you go
         He's always there with you
         Permeates your being
         He is your all in all
         Brother you are trully blessed
         Your'e worthy of the call.

         Are you like a granite block
         A Christian just by name
         Making church your weekly fix
         But leaving just the same
         It's time for you to let Him
         Throw wide your bolted doors
         Then He can get to work on you
         By dealing with your sores.

         Only then can your love grow
         As you're refined by fire
         You'll depend upon Him more
         As you rise from the mire
         Thank Him for His patient love
         He's had a job with you
         With darkness fading into light
         You finally have a view.

               

         Give your tenth unto The Lord
         Before deductions bite
         He must get your firstfruits first
         Their holy in His sight
         For He loves a cheerful giver
         One who trusts His word
         He will bless you in a way
         For which your'e not prepared.

         Money is a scary subject
         Fills you full of fear
         satan hates to think of you
         Bringing Father cheer
         Trust The Lord with all your heart
         Put Him first, at last
         You will reap what you have sown   
         Your treasure will be vast.

               

         You get up in the morning
         All ready for the day
         Off you go to where you work
         There's no time for delay
         The time it passes slowly
         You do the best you can
         Tired but happy, stumble home
         To where it all began.

         Did you contact Father God
         His needs are paramount
         Surely He had plans for you
         To make your presence count
         He will guide you through your day
         If only you would ask
         The greatest ally you can have
         To help with any task.

            

         Imagine yourself as a hard drive
         No longer unfettered and pure
         Despite our security package
         We're riddled with malware for sure
         By surfing the sites that are dodgy
         We've picked up a cookie or two
         That orchestrates fear and confusion
         And keeps us averted from You.

         We obviously need to reformat
         To get a new system in place
         The latest edition of Windows
         That's full of His unending  grace
         His firewall will keep out invaders
         All viruses, spyware and spam
         Keep your eyes fully on Jesus
         be safe as you surf with I AM.
         

               

            Joshua was rather neat
            He trusted in The Lord
            With His help he faced his walls
            Their fall was his reward
            In this life we face the same
            The hurdles and the fear
            If we have our God with us
            Our problems disappear.

            He needs to be invited
            Into our daily grind
            As we wend our merry way
            Converse with Him in mind
            He will walk our walk with us
            Be present when we fall
            Holding out an outstretched hand
            He's there to save us all.

               

      The kids have upped and gone to school
      It makes you feel so obsolete
      You think that you should find a job
      To make your life complete
      The extra money sure would help
      With all your debts and needs
      Where's The Lord in all of this
      What does He think indeed.

      You've only ever been a parent
      Now you need to show
      That you can prove your usefullness
      You're fidgeting to go
      Stop and think of what you'll miss
      The roles you have at church
      Surely He will bless your acts
      Not leave you in the lurch.

      So pray and seek His way for you
      The peace that He can bring
      Will far outweigh your poor selfworth
      In service for your King
      You will gain a greater treasure
      Kingdom wealth is more
      Than all the world can throw at you
      His way for you is sure.

            

         Deep inside there lie some pockets
         Full of things left from the past
         Like an unexploded bomblet
         You can suffer from the blast
         Triggered off by painful happenings
         Tend to stop you in your tracks
         Powerful and unexpected
         Are these unprovoked attacks.

         If you do not sort them quickly
         They will fester like a sore
         Poleaxed by the devils prompting
         You'll be in a haze for sure
         Self worth going down the plughole
         Don't believe in what you feel
         It is what He thinks that matters
         Cling on tight to what is real.

               

            Looking in the mirror
            What does it reflect
            Someone who's unworthy
            Stooped, not quite erect
            Does your self worth pass the test
            Content in who you are
            Or has the devil made you feel
            A Christian under par.

            Who does Father say you are
            Do you trust His word
            Doesn't seem to put you down
            In anything I've heard
            Believe that you are special
            His special child in fact
            Tell the devil where to go
            And energise your act.

               

            You are my Saviour
            The One who supplies
            Everything needed
            To stifle my cries
            Whenever I'm faced
            With the hurdles of life
            You come to my rescue
            Dissolving my strife.

            As long as I'm able
            To recall Your deeds
            Then You I'll be trusting
            With all of my needs
            I know I will falter
            Be troubled by fear
            But I will remember
            My Saviour is near.
