4741  Theology / Debate / Re: thou shalt not kill on: October 14, 2007, 10:47:17 AM
I think it's wonderful that you could forgive you wife's killer and lead him to God.  That is a wonderful testimony!
However, everyday we read of child abuse, molestation and child rape.  I'm sorry but my feelings are I want them dead.  I cannot imagine what those little children went through and more than any other sin I feel it is unforgivable.  If they are forgiven of God before execution then I will have plenty of time to love them in Heaven.  Until then I think we have a duty to make examples of them, through death, so they will know that it is unacceptable.  Studies have shown that those that hurt children will not change.  They will continue to do it until they are stopped.  I for one do not want to support their sorry lives in prison and as I said before I think we need to set a precedence that it will not be tolerated.
I don't know why I can agree that all should have the chance to come to Lord and be forgiven even in the case of Jeffery Daumer (sp?) but to torture a child, NO.
4742  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: CURRENT EVENTS (MUST READ) on: October 12, 2007, 07:48:46 PM
"However, most of the world doesn't appear to be paying any attention. In fact, the RUSH appears to be hastening away from GOD - NOT toward GOD."

This is a most true statement.  Things are accelerating and as a Christian it is so hard to watch.  It seems that organizations like the ACLU and others are succeeding in taking God out of and off of everything.  They are blocking Christians at every turn.  Government is letting it happen while they look the other way or plain agree with it.  Or let it pass out of fear of a lawsuit that would be to timely, costly and possibly ruin their political careers.
Even children's cartoons are so infested with demonic forces and symbols.  I was, ...well I can't say shocked, but I hadn't realized how far it had gone until recently when I was watching cartoons with my 3 year old grandson.  I had to turn them off!  Of course when I say that it has polluted music, TV, movies, games you all know that already.  Alternative live styles are so common place 4th grade teachers are reading to their classes about it!  Child molesters are getting slaps on the hands and being sent to half way houses or home to live with mama.

What frustrates me most is the political stuff and why can't we stop it.  What do we have to do?  Of course we pray, etc, etc.  But how can we fight this destruction?

Well there is my rant for today.  Feed back?

What should Christian feel about Capital Punishment?
4744  Welcome / About You! / Grammyluv here! on: October 12, 2007, 01:20:36 PM
What do you know...another new one for the ranks!  My name is really Yvette but I love my grandkids and have a website called Grammyluv's Nest so we'll just keep with that!  Beside's being a grammy and mother of 3 adult children, I love the Lord and am very outspoken and have seemed to become politically minded lately.  I see so much going on in these last days that make me shake my head and really want to do something.  And yet at the same time I know these things must happen before Christ's return.  We'll talk more on that later.
There is so much more I want to tell you about me!  I enjoy many hobbies.  I'm an avid camper.  I still perfer a tent!  I love the Seattle Mariners and go to games when I can.  I also do the "traditional" grammy stuff like sew, crochet, craft, paint, write poetry, cook and love on my kids and grandkids!  I work full time for a large software company and I have a heart for homeless women and children and may be making that a full time occupation soon!  God willing.
I look forward to meeting you all and discussing current issues among other topics!
