No worries Pastor Roger. And it is so true that when typing and posting one cannot see another's demeanor or know what is going on in the others heart. It is very tricky and one must take care. No harm intended and I sincerely hope none taken. In Christ, Yvette.

This is not a debate as there is nothing here to debate.
I think Pastor Roger, that Littleboy put this here thinking that it could be a debate because of the mention of Mormons, Jehovah's Witness', etc. Making his posting in 'Debate' the correct place to do so. As much as I love you and you being the reason, really, why I'm on the forums in the first place, because of your wisdom in so many areas, I have seen you "snap" at some so unnecessarily that I have to call you on it in love. Please take this in love as it is meant to be. And continue your good work as I love reading what you post here.

I would limit capital punishment to extremely horrible crimes, and even then only to those where there is absolutely no doubt who is guilty. Quote from Rhys
I actually have to agree with this statement. And the only ones I feel that it would apply to is those who've been caught harming the children. This is heinous and I truly believe we are at "war" with it so it's justified. Read the news. It's there every singel day. Of course as a Christian with a HUGE heart and much compassion I want everyone that can come, to be with the Lord. Somehow I find it easier to forgive murder of many different degrees and even to pray for their souls. But molesting, raping and killing babies, I cannot. And one reason I cannot, as I've said before, is that the stats show that sex offenders will continue in their sick perversion if let out of prison. I also don't think it is unfair for the victims and society in general to have to support them while they sit in prison reading, watching TV, playing ping pong, card, checkers, etc, etc. while destruction of the worst kind is laying behind them. I am so sick of hearing about the perps rights also, and the unfair treatment they get in prison. They LOST THEIR RIGHTS! They should have no rights. Null and void. CANCELED.

Hi Lisa and welcome! You've come to the right place! You will find lots of encouragement here! I know where you are wanting to escape from the stress you face. I was there once myself. And you already know that isn't the answer and you know where to find the answers so you're already a step ahead. I also know give our burdens to God can be easier said than done sometimes, however just do it. Use your the faith you already have. God says, "Be still and know that I am God". He already knows what your struggle and situation is so just talk to Him. He is so longing to hear from you. And then be still and watch the miracles that will happen! He loves you and your little family so much and is longing to care for you but you have to just let him. Pray for deliverance from the pills, believe me He will lift that from you. Mark each day as a victory! And each day will bring you closer to Him. There is no other feeling like it! Start today Lisa and just see what you are feeling by next this time next week! All love to you and yours, Yvette (Grammyluv)

Wow. It shows it's not just the U.S. doesn't it? The whole "world" wants to shove God under the carpet. It's amazing to watch as each step takes us closer to the Rapture and sad too as so many young folks are being hindered from knowing the Truth and brain washed into a false teaching. Satan is working over time now isn't he? All the more reason for us to be constantly at the Throne in prayer, for the ones still lost, our country and the state of the world. Yvette

Interesting that there is even a debate on this. Of course we worship God daily. And of course it doesn't matter what our 7th day is. God wanted his children to take a rest because it's healthy. I totally rest and relax and goof of on Saturday. But I go to church on Sunday. I go to Small Group on Friday night. I pray daily and constantly. I sing praises in the car ( with the windows up of course)! I watch Christian TV in the mornings with my coffee and while I'm getting ready for work. If my job changes, my rest day might soon be on Wednesday. Big deal. My thoughts are continueously on Him. End of story. And thank you Ol' Blackeye (tee hee) for the links!

Brother Jerry! You're cracking me up. I would like to protest the ACLU period. They offend me by their very existance, breathing perfectly good air and taking up perfectly good space that could be used productively by almost ANYONE else. What a bunch of losers. Can't wait to see their faces as we are rising in the air. But then I don't plan on looking back!

Well I've had my NIV Study Bible for 20+ years. It has been all over the U. S. with me and back again. I believe it is the only possesion that I have kept for that long of time. I would love an amplified bible, but I can't cut loose of my much loved companion with all my notes and highlights in it. It is still in extremely good shape with just a few scotch taped and wrinkled places in it.

Welcome / About You! / Re: Should Christians look at Lovescopes or Horoscopes ?

Where I work (VERY large software company in the NW) we are not allowed to talk about Christianity or post posters, watch what we have as screen savers, etc. However during Gay Pride week you will see posters everywhere and you will also see posters or Muslim and Buddist gathering and classes. Of course we don't want to "offend" anyone so as Christians we do not have the same rights. For a while the receptionist team were allowed a forum. Again we (Christians) had to watch what we said on there so as not to offend. However when horoscopes and talk of numerology and doing some one's chart started appearing, I complained LOUDLY that is was offensive. After all I have rights too even if the world doesn't think I do. I am happy to say that the horoscopes, etc were banned from our little forum anyway. So lets chalk up one, albeit small, victory for Christ!

What Did You See In Me?[/u]
What did You see in me That You’d want to draw near? What made You calm me That I would not fear?
What made You love me first That before I knew it For Your love I would thirst?
What did You do And how great is Your wisdom That would make me brand new And part of Your kingdom?
What is it about You That makes my heart glad That lifts me up When I’m feeling sad?
What made You send Your Son That not now, and no longer Would I feel the need to run But could stay still and grow stronger?
What made You have such mercy That You’d grant me forgiveness What made You give clemency That I could experience newness?
What makes You pick me up And know when I’m down Your arms You open up Put a smile, where once was a frown?
What is it about me That You’d want my love so? Is it because; You couldn’t just let me be Your love to never know?
Yvette 2004
