Trying to start a new religion??   Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Wink Cheesy Cheesy

I thought he was pining for someone, lol!

This world will never be a place of pure love,
We really can only find that up above,
So whether you're lonely or feeling uptight
A hot cup of coffee will make it all right!
32  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Coffee Time! on: May 06, 2007, 03:47:49 PM
Sing a song of six cups,
A thermos full of jo,
Four and twenty doughnuts,
All with a hole.
When the coffee's all gone,
The crying will begin,
So get another kettle on,
And fill my cup again!

You know, my brother and I had an experience with and Ouija board that my parents got thinking it was nothing more than a toy, and allow me to reiterate what's already been said, THEY ARE NOT TOYS!  This needs to be taken seriously.

Okie - I would think if you're not scared about your visions and all, and you have them under the subjection of Christ, then what others say who don't understand it shouldn't really matter.  The important thing is you being in line with God.  He'll reveal whether it's something that needs cleansing or if it is something that He is pruning in order to use that "gift" for some good.
Like I've said, I wish Christians were more aware of the reality of the spirit world.  I truly believe lukewarmness vanishes when the reality of our need to be cleansed by the blood of the Holy One and being "on His side" is experienced in this way.  Too easy to sit in our fleshly "easy chairs" and not even think twice of the spiritual battles already taking place.

I, too, am glad you've brought this up.

Tigerlilly, I know we don't know each other, but I'm in a similar situation, and if you'd like to PM me, I'd be glad to pray for specifics, help share whatever burden I can, and maybe you'd have counsel that could help me!
Prayers up!

Gina, unfortuneately, I can relate to where you are.
Please do not be offended by me saying so, but you are being dragged into a game you cannot win.  You need to set your boundaries, have NO contact with HER, and realize he is enjoying your engaging in the game.  You will not win by playing, and the only way to "win" is by setting boundaries, sticking to them, and RESTING in the PURE, UNADULTERED love that Christ has for you.  This is no fun, it hurts ALOT, but these are his choices.  Do not let his sinful choices bring you to a place where you become bitter and resentful.  The ripping apart of a marriage being painful?  YES, AND IT SHOULD BE!  But this is not by your doing.  These are his choices, and he WILL be held accountable for them.  Let him.

I'm praying for you, Sister.

Good point, Art.

There really is no way, that I am aware of, to prove to this world who is so stuck in "logic" the reality of a Saviour and the faith that is required in Him.  That takes spiritual discernment, apart from the physical.

I do think this will be interesting, though, regardless of the outcome.

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear."  "He who has eyes to see let him see."

There is so much in our everyday lives that go back to rituals of Darkness that even the best Christians  do things that go back to paganism and don't even know it.
Wish upon a star.
Carry a rabbit's foot.
How about a lucky fishing hat or golf shirt?
Then the one so many don't even think about. Make a wish and blow out the candles.
Don't walk under a ladder or cross the path of a black cat.
Many of the seemingly harmless jesters go right back to Dark Rituals.
You really have to watch what the designs are on clothing and jewelery to. Old Satan is trying to get to us as hard as he can. We can never let our guard down or he will slither right on in.

Excellent post!  (Where's the 'thumbs up' smiley when you need it?)

Hello HimAll4,

I think that it's simply a part of Christian life to ask GOD to help us in all things: our living testimony, our walk with HIM, and guidance for every portion of our lives. After all, HE is the MASTER, and we are HIS possession. This should be part of our teaching to our children. We don't depend on simply ourselves to fight, resist, and overcome the things that are wrong in our lives. Our strength is in CHRIST. Teaching our children to pray and ask GOD to help us is one of the best things we can do for them while they are growing up. As older and more mature Christians, this should be a natural part of our every day lives.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 73:26 NASB  My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Perhaps I'm worrying over nothing.  I lean on Christ, my children know I do.  They see me fail.  They see me acknowledge it and go to God for renewed strength.  That is a part of the "everyday".  I know this.  I just get worried about their walks with God.  I get concerned about them being lukewarm.  I get concerned they can't see the example I want them to see.  BY ALL MEANS it is Christ's work.  I can do all things (ONLY) through Christ who strengtheneth me.
I guess typing this out makes me see I need to lay the results at the cross as well.  My children's relationship with God is their's.  It's truly between them and God.   I'm relaxing now.........
