GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN
HAVE LEARNED:
1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptise cats.
2) When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the
second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year-old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
Cool You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap.

21  Entertainment / Books / Re: Christian Fiction Books on: November 03, 2006, 08:18:06 AM
I was just wondering what everyone thought about the Left Behind series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. I have read the whole series and I thought it was very good. I have read each book about 4 times already.

I don't know if I brought this up in this topic of another, but yes I have read all the Left Behind books except the middle prequal. The one thing I say is that they are only there interpretation of what the end times will be like and not neccessary correct. but it does make interesting reading and one thing is that I deffinetly don't want to be around in those times.  Wink

It's interesting that those ladies wern't exactly 'up there.' Rahab was a prostitute, Bathsheba slept with another man who wasn't her husband, and Ruth slept at the feet of a man she wasn't married to. Yet it just go to show that God is a loving God and forgives us.

When we rented our landlord actually alowed us to put up a satelite dish. It increases the value of the house.

I don't mind Touched by an angel. My only complaint is like the others. They never mention that it's the grace of Jesus Christ is what saves us. Not just beliveing in God, most people believe in God but alot of them do not believe in Jesus OR know who he is, really. Occassionally they quote from the gospel but I watch it because I think that everybody even christians need to know that whatever they do or even if they stray from the Truth and get angry at Him that God still loves them unconditionally.
28  Entertainment / Television / Re: What TV Show Would You Bring Back on: September 30, 2006, 01:44:04 AM
In Aus on our pay tv, we have a channel called "Fox Classics." It has shows like Mr Ed, Little house... goldern girls  as well as classic Aussie shows, even old westerns.
29  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Halloween on: September 30, 2006, 01:26:20 AM
We don't do Halloween here in Australia. Some have tried to but nobody was really interested.
30  Welcome / About You! / Re: G'day on: September 25, 2006, 07:46:50 PM
That would be cool. You'd then have a spercific purpose on why you are there if not just to have fun Grin

But i would love to travel to place where there has been history, that the building or whatever tells a story. Australia is only 200 years since settlement, so compared to places like Europe, Israel, England and even America it is still a baby. And Of course I'd like to travel with someone! never been one to like to experience fun things on my own Cheesy
