The fact that Islam, and many other false religions, have highjacked the true scriptures and added in there own brand of violence speaks volumes.
It's not the religious aspects of this plagiarized book which needs to be addressed, it's the interpolation which commands faithful followers, not of God, but of Mohomad, to kill the enemies, again, not of God, but the hijackers themselves, who stole scriptures in order to build an army of blind faithfull followers to do their killing for them.

Mohamed was sly, and knew if he only had God on his side, he could rally the masses and trick them into surrendering their own lives, or the lives of their children, as "godly warriors" so that Mohamed and his pals could grab hold of power, real estate and wealth, and so all of a sudden, Mohamed had a vision, not of an angel, but of satan himself, who later magically turned into an angel of God, and the rest is history.

Once we make it clear that the killings and the wars are not based on the will of God, or any so called repression of religious freedom, but rather the murderous will of Mohamed and his followers exclusively,  then we can go on to address the plagiarizing itself, and set the record straight.

I understand how you feel. It is so hard today to discern what sites to trust and which to distrust.
Recently  was perusing a site which on the surface seemed like a fantastic Christian resource, and in particular in relation to Prophecy, and creation/evolution.

The site made all the right noises in relation to Jesus, but I noticed they never actually came right out and proclaimed the truth that Jesus is God, and so I began to become suspicious.
sure enough, after doing a little investigating I discovered it was a Church Of Latter Day Saints web site.

I always check the sites "About Us" section. if they are a legitimate Christian site the first thing you will read is an affirmation that Jesus is God.
After that, you still need to be very careful that not even one single piece of info on that site goes against any scriptures.

Some of these groups are becoming extremely tricky, and in fact, they have more tricks than a clown has in his pocket!

It is a difficult task at times, but we must make as much effort as we possibly can to make sure we are not being fooled.
I have even gone as far as e-mailing them to ask about their specific beliefs.

I am talking about Dan Brown’s evil novel The da Vinci Code.
I believe it is a purposeful and deliberate attack on Judaeo Christianity, and the book is rife with venom and slanders.
I have decided to take up just nine of the many lies and inaccuracies and shine the light of truth on them.

The Many Errors and Outright Lies Of Dan Brown’s da Vinci Code

1) The canonical gospels are not the earliest gospels. Instead. The Gnostic gospels are the earliest written gospels and the canonical gospels were selected from among 80 other gospels.

Right off the bat, there was not even half that number of books written about the life of Jesus.
The New Testament was complete before the end of the 1st Century, and the Gnostics weren’t written until the second century. Also, the names attributed to the Gnostics were most definitely not the actual authors, and so right off the hop the books lead us to conclude they are illegitimate.

2) In "The Last Supper," Leonardo da Vinci allegedly painted Mary Magdalene seated next to Jesus.

OK, this is just foolish. Brown’s “proof” for this is the fact that John looks feminine in the painting, but the reality is that John was the youngest of the disciples, and was portrayed as a young man. Let’s say for argument sake that Brown is correct, and this is not John, but actually Mary…OK, so where is John? Where is the “beloved disciple? LOL!

3) The Priory of Sion was created by the Knights templar in 1099.

Documents discovered in the Biblioteque Nationale in Paris, which allegedly “proved” that the Priory of Sion was as old as 1099, and that da Vinci and Isaac Newton among others secretly presided over it.
These documents were proved beyond any doubt to be utter fakes, and it was discovered that a French anti-Semite con man named Pierre Plantard had invented the entire lie!

4) Jesus was just a man, and not God! Brown claims that “pagan” Roman Emperor Constantine, created the “myth” that Jesus was crucified and resurrected in order to consolidate his empirical power!

This is amazing! It is general knowledge that Constantine converted to Christianity and ended Rome’s persecution of Christians, and convened the Council of Nicea in 325.
Constantine did not add any new books to the canon and the council was convened to sort out differences among early church leaders, all of whom absolutely believed Jesus was divine, and in fact was God!

The Council of Nicea, which took no votes, was convened by Constantine with Christian leaders across the empire mainly to dispense with the theories of Arius (father of Arianism), who claimed that Jesus, while divine, was a created being. Only two of 318 clerics at the Council did not sign the Nicene Creed. The early church had already adopted the Four Gospels and most of the rest of the New Testament as authoritative long before the Council of Nicea.

5) Christianity was based on pagan religions. Dan Brown quote - "Nothing in Christianity is original. The pre-Christian God Mithras ­ called the Son of God and the Light of the World ­ was born on Dec. 25, died, was buried in a rock tomb, and then resurrected in three days."

This is an amazingly stupid and baseless assertion!
The exact opposite is true! These pagan religions stole from Christian themes!
Just as Islam, Mormon, and Jehovah’s Witnesses have done!
In ancient cultures, there was always the myth of the dying and resurrecting god ­ essentially "winter" and "spring." However, these are never alleged to have been real history. In contrast, on such and such a day (some scholars, including Dr. Alan Whanger, retired professor of Duke Medical Center ­ believe April 7, A.D. 30) Jesus Christ was crucified and laid in a tomb in Jerusalem. He came out alive with a resurrected body in three days (as Jews count it ­ two days as we would count it).
Going further on the mystery religions, note what authors Carl Olson and Sandra Miesel write in their book, "The Da Vinci Hoax":
“Unfortunately for Brown and the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," there is little or no evidence that most pagan mystery religions, such as the Egyptian cult of Isis and Osiris or the cult of Mithras, existed in the forms described in their books prior to the mid-first century. This is a significant point, for much of the existing evidence indicates that the third- and fourth-century beliefs and practices of certain pagan mystery religions are read back into the first-century beliefs of Christians ­ without support for such a presumptive act …”

So many people, and even some Christians, actually do not know this fact, and incorrectly believe the Egyptian, and other pagan religions predate Christian, and or, Jewish old testament themes.

6) The four New Testament Gospels (the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) comprise a false account. Numerous ancient writings tell a more truthful story.

Again, utterly dumbfoundingly stupid! The “Numerous ancient writings” Brown is speaking of are of course the 52 books collectively called the Gnostic Gospels.
These were discovered in Nag Hammadi, Egypt in 1945. All were written more than a century after the real Gospels were written and none of the Gnostics has any link to any eye witnesses in the time of Christ, so we can see why Brown would place so much stock in them! LOL!

 
7) Jesus married Mary Magdalene and fathered a daughter with her. Brown claims the church was led by Mary Magdalene, whose role was covered up by a ruthless Catholic Church.

OK, I’m what the English refer to as “Gob smacked”!
This is such an utterly incredibly, amazingly stupid statement as to be almost beyond need of rebuttal…but…
OK, this foolishness states that Jesus was not actually killed on the cross, and that He somehow managed to fool the Romans into believing He was dead, and was helped to escape and eventually married Mary and had children after escaping to France!
Wowee! Alright, let’s look at what Roman pagan historian Flavius Josephus recorded…
“He was [the] Christ; and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him”

The nonsense about Jesus marrying Mary Magdalene and having children with her came from the Plantard forgeries and the Gnostic gospels of Phillip and “Mary Magdala.”

The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the 1950’s.

Another amazing example of the utter incompetence, or willingness to lie outright.

9) The Bible is an ever-changing living document. The Bible “has evolved through countless translations, additions, and revisions. History has never had a definitive version of the book,”

This is without doubt the most widely accepted perversion of truth as far as the scriptures are concerned. I get more people making this remark than any other objection to the scriptures. Whenever I challenge the person to give examples, the usual response is “well, that is just fact”, when pressed further to give specific examples, none are forthcoming
Or, if examples are given, they are very easily refuted.

No other book in antiquity has as many manuscripts that are consistently accurate, even after 2,000 years. The New Testament, of which 5,000 early copies exist, also has the shortest gap between time of authorship (55-95 A.D.) and the earliest copies (around 200 A.D.). Other ancient books have gaps of 1,000 years or more. In total there are over 28,000 copies of antiquity of the scriptures in existence today and more are being discovered all the time. These manuscripts have been carefully cross referenced and we know today that the Bible we have today is virtually identical to the original manuscripts!

There are more examples of inaccuracies in this evil novel, but I’m going to end with a quote from a leading authority on scriptures and biblical history, Dr Paul Maier…
Historian and first-rate scholar Paul Maier just has to shake his head. He notes, "Detailing all the errors, misinterpretations, deceptions, distortions, and outright falsehoods in "The Da Vinci Code" makes one wonder whether Brown's manuscript ever underwent editorial scrutiny or fact-checking."
Amazingly, we live in the Information Age, yet we live in an age of massive disinformation. The Bible says Satan is the "the prince of the power of the air" Ephesians 2:2. The Bible also says that in the end times, "men will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" 2 Timothy 4:3. Is that not happening in our own day?

I'm not claiming it is the actual burial cloth of Jesus, but I'm also not saying it is not either.
I'm simply pointing out facts surrounding the shroud and the facts are absolutly amazing.

Here's a few things to consider...

You correctly pointed out that Jewish tradition of the day had the body of the deceased being wrapped in several strips of linen.
Almost like a mummy, and within those strips were placed spices and plants, which by the way, were found within the shroud.

OK there’s actually a few things to consider here…

Do you recall that the Jewish leaders asked for the legs of Jesus to be broken so that He would die quicker before the Passover began?
The Roman soldiers would hasten death by smashing the bones in the legs, and making it impossible for the victim to raise himself up to take in air. The victims would suffocate to death because their legs were broken.

Jesus gave up His own life, and it was not taken from Him.
So when the Romans approached Jesus to break His legs, they found that He was already dead and did not break His legs, which fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies from  Numbers 9:12; and  Psalm34:20

Num 9:12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

Psa 34:20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.


The Roman soldiers ended up piercing His heart, which fulfilled Zechariah 12:10. And Psalms 22:14

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

Psa 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

Notice that Jesus’ bones were “out of joint” - dislocated, but not broken.

Alright, one major important fact we can know from the previous scriptures is there was a hurry to get things done because of the Passover.
So, Jesus’ body was taken down from the cross and wrapped in linen.
A face cloth and a full shroud were used.
The body was laid to rest that way until after the Passover, when the body would have been prepared fully as the following scriptures prove…

Luke 23
50Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea and he was waiting for the kingdom of God. 52Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body. 53Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 54It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. 55The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.
They planned on coming back following the Sabbath and finishing the job as the following scriptures detail…

Luk 24:1 Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them.

Luk 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

Luk 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Luk 24:12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

Over the years I have been mesmerized by the Shroud of Turin.
The first time I saw the image I was amazed. This was something special.
I wanted to believe it was an artefact that Jesus left us to bolster our faith, and why not? He has left us lots of proof of His truth. There’s historical proof, there’s archaeological proof, there’s scientific proof, and there’s personal experience.

When I began to read all the debates about the shroud, I was disappointed when I came across a “scientific” study which showed the “blood’ was actually paint, and the image was also just a painted depiction of a crucified man, albeit an amazing depiction.
So I was disappointed but my faith was in no way affected.

Then, I got hold of more “scientific” proof, only this time the scientists were from N.A.S.A.! This time, the blood was not pain, it was real honest to goodness blood! The blood was even typed! This time the image was proven not to be paint at all, and in fact the NASA scientists were at a complete loss to explain exactly what the image was produced by, or how the image was actually a negative exactly like that in photography!
There were x-ray like images in the shroud which showed teeth and bones!
There were seeds and plants and flowers which all came from the exact region where Jesus was crucified and some of this plant life was exclusive to the region!

The scientists agreed that the man on the shroud was horribly mutilated by severe whipping, and was most obviously whipped from head to toe on both sides of His body.
Judging by the size and shape of His whip wounds, it was discovered that only one weapon could have made those wounds, the Roman flagellum.

The most amazing discovery the NASA scientists made was Jesus!
Yes, the scientists who worked on the project were so moved by what they discovered that they converted to Christianity!

OK that was a few years back, and recently the shroud has been examined using the latest technology and you will be blown right out of your socks when you discover exactly what else was buried along with the crucified man (wink, wink, Jesus)

Let’s begin with some details from the scriptures involving the death of Jesus…

26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

48And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a stick, and gave him to drink.

34But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.


Ok, so the latest tests have revealed some extremely interesting artefacts which were buried with Jesus, and are seen on the shroud.
The Jewish people have a tradition of making sure any blood which may get spilled is cleaned up and buried along with the deceased. So anything which has the victims blood on it, is also buried along with the deceased.
This explains why the following things were discovered in the image…

1) Two crown of thorns
2) Pair of dice
3) A pole with a sponge attached
4) A broken pole with a spear tip
5) Coins with ceasar's head on it (proving the correct time period)
6) A spike, like the ones used to crucify from Roman period.

ROME, FEB. 17, 2009 (Zenit.org).- Darwin intended to create a scientific theory, not an ideology of life in order to interpret reality, says a philosophy professor marking the anniversary of the scientist's birth.

Last Thursday was the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth, the English scientist and observer, author of the work "The Origin of Species" and of the second theory of evolution.

ZENIT talked with Jesuit Father Marc Leclerc, professor of philosophy of nature at the Pontifical Gregorian University and organizer of a congress on "Biological Evolution: Facts and Theories," which will be held March 2-7 in Rome.
 
Q: Let's talk first about Darwin's life. Did his formation as a theologian in the Anglican Church influence his evolutionary theories?
 
Father Leclerc: Darwin was essentially a great biologist.

He was neither a philosopher nor a theologian. It is true that initially he had a more theological formation in the Anglican Church, but he distanced himself from the church for personal reasons, primarily the death of his daughter, which seemed to him a great injustice, contributing to his estrangement from the faith.

However, it can be said that he was always respectful; moreover, his wife was very much a believer.

He underwent an evolution. In the end he established himself, as he himself said, in an attitude of open agnosticism, which has nothing to do with the position of an atheist who uses this against the faith. Unfortunately, some of his followers did so, but he did not directly.

He didn't include anything of faith in his theory and did not intervene in one sense or the other. His is a scientific theory as such; it has nothing to do with the existence or nonexistence of God, because [in this] we are on a totally different plane.
 
Q: What danger is there that Darwin's theory of evolution will become an ideology?
 
Father Leclerc: This has happened, as I said, because many of his followers have not had his prudence and at times have confused the two levels -- scientific and theological.

In particular, they have converted two elements into an ideology: the aleatory character of variation, which later was called mutation, and the mechanism of natural selection, which are two elements of a scientific theory.

One cannot make the latter into the key to the interpretation of reality. This is to pass, perhaps, to an ideological level without even taking the scientific level into account.

Thus science falls into a false philosophy, or a false theology, which is directly against the explanation of reality. This is a serious abuse of science, at times committed by scientists, who go completely beyond the scientific realm.

The enemies of Darwinism should not fall into the same trap; the scientific theory merits all our respect, but must be discussed only at the scientific level.
 
Q: How can one have a correct view of evolution and creation?
 
Father Leclerc: I am convinced that here the mediation of philosophy is indispensable to avoid confusion between the different levels: a radical separation or a confused mixture, where nothing is understood.

It is necessary to rationally articulate levels that are different, hence the need for philosophical mediation.
 
Q: Is it right from a Christian point of view to say that man is the result of the monkey's evolution? If so, at what moment was the human soul created?
 
Father Leclerc: We are different from chimpanzees.

They are our cousins, not our forefathers. The point is that biologically we have common forefathers, that is why they are cousins on the biological plane. However, they have had a different history to ours.

Some might say that the birth of the soul began with Homo Sapiens, others that it began much earlier, with Homo Erectus, still others that it began with Homo Habilis. We have several vestiges, but no formal proof.

The vestiges we might have correspond to the symbolic character of thought, to the articulated and symbolic language universally open to the possibility to relate to another freely and to God, in elements such as the advent of art and the religious element.

I cannot say when the human soul appeared; what we know is that humanity is today a unique species of modern man [Homo] Sapiens Sapiens. In it, each one of us has a soul created by God, each one has a singular soul.

When did it begin? We have one important fact among others: It seems that biological evolution really culminated with Homo Sapiens. However, the cultural revolution, proper to man, began already before the appearance of Homo Sapiens.
 
Q: Should Genesis be regarded as a theory of the creation of the world or as a theological theory to explain the creation of man and his freedom?
 
Father Leclerc: I recall what Galileo said: "The Bible doesn't teach us how heaven functions but how to get to heaven."

Genesis tells us how man has been created in God's thought, how he can go to God and how he has been estranged from God. It does not tell us scientifically why.

From this conception it tells us what plan God has for man and how man must adapt himself to this plan.
 
Q: Is man lord of creation or a more evolved animal species?
 
Father Leclerc: At the simply phenomenological level man is the only one who can interact with his environment, changing the environment according to his wishes, and is not obliged to adapt himself to the external changes of the environment.

An example: Man produced the book on the origin of species 150 years ago. No animal has ever been seen to reflect on the origin of living beings.

The entire presentation has been literally picked apart and shown to be seriously lacking in credibility. I'll go even further...I believe there are outright lies in that presentation...either that, or Gore is a complete idiot.

For example, one of the most vital charts used in his presentation, one which most all of his arguments are based around was put together by the man who Gore claims first made him realise "we were heating up the earth" was his late professor, oceaographer Roger Revelle, and it was a chart which "proved" carbon dioxide levels were rising, and were responsible for greenhouse warming. So the the vast majority of Al's smoking gun evidence was based around this chart, which was complied by his late professor buddy.

Well, I guess Mr.Gore should have kept in contact with his pal because shortly before his death professor Roger Revelle admitted that his calculations were seriously flawed and in fact he co-authored a paper warning that "the scientific basis for a greenhouse warming is too uncertain to justify drastic action at this time". And some warming might even be good, he added!

Here’s a few more examples of “Al pals” dishonesty, or, as I stated at the beging, if not dishonesty, then pure stupidity!

In his presentation, Gore claimed that out of 928 scientific articles on global warming which were surveyed, there wasn’t a single article which disputed that mankind was greatly responsible for global warming through it’s gasses, and that only “dumb journalists and bad scientists in the pay of big oil pretended there was any genuine debate” What!??
So, unless you believe that we are responsible for global warming, you are either dumb, or a scientific criminal who accepts pay for lies! This sounds very familiar, the only difference is this debate, or non debate, is about global warming and the other is evolution!

Here’s the rub,  as Dr Benny Peiser, from Liverpool John Moores University has demonstrated, Gore relies on a bungled survey reported in Science.
Peiser checked again and found just 13 of those 928 papers explicitly endorsed man-made global warming, and 34 rejected or doubted it. The debate is real.

In Gore’s presentation he shows these very effective and scary maps of how New York and Shanghai would drown under 20 feet (600cm) of water if all Greenland's ice melted.
In fact, there are loads of studies which prove that Greenland's and Antarctica's snow cover is increasing or stable.
The scientists of even the fiercely pro-warming Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predict seas will rise (as they have for centuries) not by Gore's 600cm by 2100, but by between 14 and 43cm.

Here’s a real duzy which Gore must have invented for dramatic effect. Elder Gore tells us that the seas have already risen so high that New Zealand has had to take in refugees from drowning Pacific islands! LOL! What?!! 
 The truth is the Australian National Tidal Facility at Tuvalu in 2002 reported: "The historical record from 1978 through 199 indicated a sea level rise of 0.07 mm per year." Or the width of a hair... The width of a hair!! Where's my pet flea's life jacket!!??
Says Auckland University climate scientist Chris de Frietas: "I can assure Mr Gore that no one from the South Pacific islands has fled to New Zealand because of rising seas." !! Berrrother!

I guess Gore is so egotistical, and so arrogant that he never imagined anyone would question his god-like ability to know all! After all, he did invent the internet you know!! LOL!

Oh…I guess I shouldn’t laugh, but pahlease!

OK that's enough of this gobbledy-gook for now.

Here's the truth about how this snake grew this long.

If we read Genesis and much of the Old testament, we see man lived very much longer than we do today.
For example; Adam lived 930 years. Genesis 5:5

Seth lived 912 years.Genesis 5:8

Methuselah lived 969 years.Genesis 5:27

And Noah lived 950 years. Genesis 9:29

People lived much longer back then and there's a very good reason for that.

Let's see what happened...

Genesis 3
The Fall of Man

 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

So the serpent was possessed by satan, and actually must have allowed satan to posses it because the snake was cursed because of it's part in the sin of man, as we will see as we carry on...
OK, to save some space we'll jump ahead a wee bit...

14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, " Because you have done this, because you have done what? We all know animals do not talk, and nowhere else in the book of Genesis do we see any animals talking. The serpent was chastised by Jesus, and was actually cursed because he did what? Well, we can assume, and yes this is an assumption, but it's an assumption based on the reality of the facts. God did not create animals to be equal with His special creation which was man. We know satan is known as the sold serpent in Rev 12:9 and so satan must have possessed the serpent, and I assume the serpent must have allowed satan do that because Jesus cursed the serpent above all other livestock and all other wild animals! Now either satan possessed the serpent, or satan was a serpent, which just doesn't make sense because we know satan was a fallen angel, and beyond that fact, the serpent was cursed for his part in the sin and was made to crawl on his belly for the rest of it's existence, so it doesn't make sense any other way except that satan possessed the serpent in order to deceive Eve.
There is other examples in the scriptures where demons posess animals, check out Matt. 8:28-32

" Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly

this was part of the serpent’s curse, so we can infer that at one time the serpent did not crawl on it's belly! Interesting when we see all the winged serpents there are carved on monuments all over the world such as the "Plumed Serpent" of the Mexican pyramids and the winged serpents on the ancient temple walls in Cambodia for example.

       "and you will eat dust
       all the days of your life."

16 To the woman he said,
       "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
       with pain you will give birth to children.
       Your desire will be for your husband,
       and he will rule over you."
17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'

I'll tie it all together now.
When Jesus created life in the beginning, and placed Adam in the garden of Eden, there was no death. Death was a curse on all life because of the first sin! We know this through the scriptures...

Rom 5:12 " as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed on all men, for that all have sinned:"

And so because of that first, original sin, Jesus cursed the earth, and cursed mankind, and cursed animals, all life.

Prior to sin, there was no death. After sin, man and all life began to change. Life began to age, and began to require food for sustenance. What happened was our genetic code was corrupted, and life spans began to get shorter and shorter.
As we read through the Old testament, we begin to see man's life span get shorter to the point where the average lifespan got to where we are today.
And so now we know why we have so much seemingly useless DNA in our bodies, This DNA is useless due to a curse from God. A once perfect DNA which allowed eternal regeneration, now became degraded and as a result along came age, along came disease, and along came death. Every few months, or at times weeks, we see a new disease aflict man, we are becoming les and less able to fight off disease and infection, and so these are not necessarily new diseases, but rather they ahve always been here but our DNA has degraded to the point where these diseases are now able to attack us effectively.

So this post, which is way too long, is all to show that this snake got so huge because it lived a long long time!
Reptiles continue to grow until they die, this snake didn't get so huge because of temperature which is assumed! It got huge because it lived a biblically long age.
This snake is not an assumed 60 million years old! It's no more than 6,000 years old.
