58024  Welcome / About You! / Re:Greetings on: April 08, 2004, 06:21:14 AM
Hi. I've been a christian for 5 years. I have a hard time being social and, therefore, I am alone most of the time. I also have problems talking to people at my local church. For 5 years, I've never really had a close christian family where I can share my burdens and ask questions. I hope I can get that here.

Oklahoma Howdy to felix102,

I've already seen your other post involving astral projection and out of body experiences. Those would not be questions that Christians discuss. However, we do discuss a host of Christian topics, and you are most welcome to join in.

58025  Theology / Debate / Re:Are Christians...........Christians? on: April 08, 2004, 05:13:39 AM
Oklahoma Howdy To Butcha,

I think that's a fair question. The answer would be "YES and NO", depending on the individual person. If the person has the Holy Spirit in their heart and Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, they are saved. If not, they are lost, regardless of what they call themselves.

Oklahoma Howdy to All,

WOW!!  I knew that many folks loved "war threads", but I had no idea this one little post would be read 30 times.

UM???, I'm thinking of other threads that would draw tons of readers. How about:

Mayhem

Chaos

Violence Deprived

Beatings R Us

Humiliation Helps

Bashing and Boasting

Battles Blooming

CHARGE!!!!!!!!!

Oklahoma Howdy to All,

Thanks for the extra grins. My trip got delayed until Saturday morning because of arrangements to care for two VERY elderly dogs. I know this sounds funny, but they are members of the family, especially with all of the kids out on their own.

Reference the diapers, I must admit that I'm a little bit slow in recognizing there are dirty diapers, especially when there are experts at changing diapers in the immediate vacinity.   Grin  However, I have been stuck many times changing diapers, many times involving orders from my wife.   Cheesy

BANG!!

GOTCHA!!

Hello All,

I figured that a war post was the most popular, so I posted this here. I'm off to see my grandchildren till next week. I will be giving an online diaper changing course FREE OF CHARGE when I get back.

Oklahoa Howdy to Willowbirch,

Grin  I really think that you are correct. If Whitehorse sends cyclops off on vacation, the sentence can't be carried out.

In fact, where is Whitehorse? Is Whitehorse AWOL?   Grin

At this rate, the jail will be full.

Grin   Grin  Thanks JudgeNot - I needed that laugh.

Brother, I can guarantee you that I had a drug problem when I was a kid, and the same was true for all of my friends. It was a serious violation of school rules to be caught chewing gum. Now, it's having a mini-meth lab in your locker.

Brother, I was just thinking about some precious moments in the weeks before my dad died. He told me that he felt bad about giving me so many spankings. I told him that I only got caught about 50% of the time and had quite a few more coming. I give thanks for Godly parents.

Love In Christ,

58034  Theology / Debate / Re:Abortion: Right or Wrong? on: April 05, 2004, 10:05:41 PM
Quote
Shylynne Said:

You know I think you`ve made quite a point there, and that reminded me of the parable... then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom...and  then...when the bridegroom tarried...they fell asleep.

Oklahoma Howdy to Shylynne,

First, more thanks for sharing more truth about the ugly and evil subject of abortion. It is true that the women who have abortions suffer in more ways than one in this short life. A loving presentation of the truth might finally give them the will to get on their knees, ask God for forgiveness, let the blood of Jesus wash away this sin that torments them, and let Jesus heal them.

The parable of the ten virgins is also an excellent description of much of the Church which is the BODY of CHRIST. YES!, many have fallen asleep and neglected HIS WILL. It is a beautiful thought to think and hope that our Lord and Saviour will come for us today or tomorrow. However, we all need a wake-up call and continue to do HIS WILL until our moments on this dark and evil world are over. The lamps are also an appropriate description. Our lamps should shine in the darkness until the LORD OF ALL LIGHT replaces it.

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  Revelation 21:23

Thank you Sister.

Love In Christ,
Tom
