BEP, I hope my post was OK.   I only posted their beliefs to show the errors they present.  I was a bit hesitant to do it, but judged  Grin that it had purpose.

Grace and Peace!

My Brother,

Your post was fine. I think that I was replying to a troll posing as a troll.   Cheesy  There is an entire thread somewhere here, and it's OK also. I found it somewhat humorous that a new user would have interest only in two subjects on a Christian Forum:  atheism and Mormonism. I think that Brother Ollie already did the detective work on this one and figured it out.

I'm always hearing Protestants and Roman Catholics bad mouthing the Mormons. Why? Simply because their doctrine is different? They still believe Jesus is the Savior.

JitC,

It's not a matter of bad mouthing or disliking the Mormons, rather it boils down to working for the devil. The Jesus they talk about was created and is not God. The Jesus they talk about was an angel and made into Jesus, much like the more aggressive Mormons intend to be made into Gods. It's really very simple, a doctrine of evil. By the way, the devil believes in Jesus also, but that doesn't make the devil a Christian.

We don't teach or allow the Mormon doctrine to be taught on Christians Unite for the above reasons. Let me give you a hint and you can check for yourself. According to the Mormons, Jesus would have been little more than a brother of Lucifer and created into Jesus. Our hint to the Mormons is that Jesus Christ is Almighty God, was NOT created, and has no beginning or ending. Our second hint to the Mormons is that men will not be made into Gods. The Mormons have a clever and deceptive doctrine that does not lead men to Almighty God, rather a doctrine that draws men to another man, Joseph Smith. If you are looking for more Mormon doctrine, you won't find it here.

Brother JudgeNot,

Thanks for telling me - I had no idea things were getting that bad. I guess that I'm spoiled in Oklahoma.

As far as I'm concerned, the Federal Government has zero jurisdiction in my church or in my home. That would obviously exclude grossly illegal acts like being a part of a terrorist network, planning attacks on our country, or being a front for other grossly illegal activities.

There's nothing illegal about talking about the Biblical values and morals of candidates for office. So, I think it is time for us to get the Federal Government's nose out of places it has no Constitutional Jurisdiction, and that list would be large. Many small and struggling churches would not be able to stay open if they had to pay taxes. Besides, I think that I could make a Constitutional argument that churches can't be taxed at all.

Oklahoma Howdy to Bronzesnake & DreamWeaver,

I really didn't have to look at the IP, even though I always do. This one was a rocket scientist and either had a spoofed or real email address starting with "Neo666".  WOW!   Grin

It never ceases to amaze me how many people we have now who feel their purpose in life is to troll, Christian hunt, and try to ruin Christian fellowship. I'm beginning to wonder how long it will be before they start trying the same in our church services. The devil is working overtime, and nothing would surprise me any more.

If we try to do something positive for God and Jesus, I guess we should expect to be attacked by the devil. It appears to be getting more difficult by the minute to have any place of peace and refuge where we can simply worship Jesus and enjoy fellowship with each other.

I've been doing some more reading about the current and the new forum software. It appears there might be a way of having some reserved areas on the forum for nothing but peace, fellowship, and worship. I'm checking now to see if I understand it correctly. Further, I have no idea how much trouble it is to set up. If it looks reasonable and possible, I will propose it to ADMIN. It would involve areas that new users do not have access to. I think that many of our sweet Christian users who have been members for quite some time would be happy with just one area. We'll see what happens.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Hi I'm new here and I just thought I would start my questions with "What is Satanism?" because I have come across conflicting stories. I have heard that they are ruthless, devil-worshipping and murderous. And I have heard that they are people who don't even believe in satan. Would anyone happen to know?

Hello Neo,

Haven't you been here before for sport, Christian hunting, and trolling? I think you've already asked all kinds of questions here Neo, or is it "666" now, or a combination of both? UM??? - "666" now in your email address. So, you want a bunch of Christians to tell you about satanism???

Didn't you make yourself a guest right before you were about to be banned Neo?

Steven John Said:

In what way is Michael Moore a teller of lies? From what I can see he is one of a few people who's willing to stand up for the voiceless - as Jesus would surely have done. As a true believer in justice, I'm very concerned that you would happily criticize Mr Moore for attempting to highlight injustice and yet say nothing of President Bush's constant deception of the American people.

Michael Moore is a teller of lies in all ways, and he became filthy rich telling his lies. Moore knew that President Bush didn't lie to anyone. Numerous other countries had the same intelligence that the US had. If you remember, a major bi-partisan committee just arrived at the same conclusion. It is also important to note that former President Clinton and Congress arrived at the same conclusion. Can we assume that Michael Moore has more accurate intelligence or intelligence that Congress and two Presidential Cabinets did not have. Well, that question is a no-brainer.

The currently informed Democratic party has stopped calling President Bush a liar for a reason - HE DIDN'T LIE! They know now that what President Bush started must remain a high priority and must be finished. Their only current difference is they think they can influence more partners to join in the effort. We should already know why France, Germany, Russia, and China didn't join in the effort. That would be gross corruption and violation of U.N. sanctions for over 10 years. I seriously doubt there is sufficient honesty left in the U.N. to properly investigate this, report it to the world, and take the specified U.N. actions against France, Germany, Russia, and China. I really doubt the U.N. will do anything.

yadda buster!   Cry

Sister,

If this is in reference to the vulture joke, I identified with it since I feel they have been circling me for most of my life, either in police work or in illness since 1998. To be absent from the body is to be present in JESUS, so the outcome is JOY. Death is a worry, even for Christians, because we are weak humans, BUT:

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  Philippians 1:21

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds though Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7

So, I try not to worry about it. Sister, you and I share the same boat in more ways than one. I'm praying for you, and I would sincerely appreciate your prayers for me.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Evangelist,

Cheesy  Brother Hank, NOW that is COOL! I imagine that I really don't know what the young people today call it. I was going to suggest "GROOVY", but I'm thinking that would be 60s. Whoever is doing those is very talented, and I hope they continue.

Reference Iraq, if the US Marines have a wheelchair brigade, I want my M16, a helmet, and an airplane ride. I really don't want my grandchildren to be fighting them on our streets. Worse, I don't want them to be innocent victims. If you will put a motor on that wheelchair, I'd volunteer for point man.

WOW!!! - I watched some clips of the Democratic Convention. All I can say is "Twilight Zone". On a funny note, I always knew there was some kind of band called "Blackeyed-Peas", and I finally saw and heard them.  Grin  I might have to change my Internet and forum handle back to what is was for so many years, "357 Magnum".

Brother, thanks for the news.

AMEN Brother Love!!

As you know, I've read a lot from Pastor Stam for most of my live. Now, for a small world - My grand-dad knew him. I think that they met while my grand-dad attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago - 1920s I believe. One could only guess how many typewriters Pastor Stam wore out in his writing ministry. It's also interesting to note that many Gospel writers of that time had to learn to do type setting on old fashioned printing presses. They just didn't have the money or the time to do it any other way. That's how the Timely Messenger was done - by hand. Many of the pastors of that time worked 18 to 20 hour days.

It is absolute reality that a Promise of God can be spoken of as already done. That's just how sure it is. Pastor Stam had a natural Gift from God in his writing. He wrote a lot of common sense things that average people could understand. I think that's one of the reasons why his writing is still so popular today - it just makes sense and blesses those who read it. I would join the others in giving thanks for the work God wrought in Pastor Stam.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brothers and Sisters,

I don't know what the statistics show about abortion, but I would imagine a fairly large percentage involves another sin by both the man and the woman. Sex outside of marriage is sin, yet elementary schools in some parts of the country are teaching sex education, safe sex, and alternative lifestyles.

What happened to the good old days when Biblical morals were taught strictly. Sin usually does have some pretty rough prices, and many of them leave pain and suffering for a lifetime. "Abstinence" - end of story, unless the dad wishes to add some tender words of wisdom for the young men taking their daughter out for a date. I honestly believe that many people may spend half of their life getting a clue about what real love and marriage is. To say that the young man is just as responsible should be a given. Some folks torture themselves most of their lives and never learn the basics about real love between a man and a woman within the bonds of Holy matrimony. I might add that real love isn't sex, but that appears to be a frequent excuse.

The common denominator appears to be that sin always causes pain and suffering. Abortion just adds to the pain and suffering.

Love in Christ,
Tom

57360  Fellowship / What are you doing? / Re:Shirts on: July 29, 2004, 12:11:34 AM
Hello Daily Walker,

If you equate a sign, a shirt, or a bible verse as hate, that would go right along with the times. There are places talking about portions of the Holy Bible being hate speech. And, you guessed it, the ACLU is about to propose legislation. And schools - WHEW!! - hold onto your hat. The time is already here where God's pulpit has been removed and replaced by one of the devil. It isn't even an equal time situation.

My first sentence is the subject of this thread. So if you feel this is hate, we can agree to disagree, but that won't effect my holding a sign, wearing a shirt, or quoting a Bible verse. They are already shoving the alternative lifestyles into the face of our elementary school children. I'll sit down and be quiet when I go home to be with my Lord and Saviour. Until then, I'll just increase the size of my sign. Most of that garbage hasn't hit my state yet, but I will need loud speakers if it does. Let me describe it this way, grandma and I are in complete agreement with our children. Our grandchildren will never be taught evil in school. If my wife and I are old stuffed shirts, so are our children. I'll simply get a second mortagage an send all of them to Christian schools.

See, your post has almost caused me to reverse my stance on this issue.   Cheesy  I say that in a good-natured way. I would expect you to witness and take whatever actions you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit to do, and I will do the same.

Love In Christ,
Tom
