Amen Brother Talmadge, I choose life, and I choose life more abundantly in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour forever. Brother, we didn't deserve it, but Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us. This was only because of God's Love and Grace, a perfect Gift, and a perfect Sacrifice to rescue us. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever! Love In Christ, Tom

Keanon,
I can see you are confused, and maybe you should be scared.
Many will reject Jesus and die in their sins. They will most definitely face the eternal wrath of God.
However, there is GOOD NEWS. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us. The blood of Jesus will wash us clean of our sins, and HE will save us from the wrath to come.
Today would be a good day for you to accept Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Saviour.
Love In Christ, Tom

AMEN DREAMWEAVER!!Brother, your message is beautiful, mainly because it explains our precious GOOD NEWS! so well. It makes me happy every time I think about the Gospel of God's Grace, how God loves us, and how Jesus Christ saves us. There is at least one person on the forum who stands firmly against the Gospel of the Grace of God. I am locking this thread to preserve the pure and beautiful message of GOOD NEWS. I agree with Brother Love completely that today is a wonderful day to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour forever. I pray that many lost people will read this thread. I also pray that God will soften their hearts and they will partake of the only real joy in this lost and dying world. Faith in Jesus Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Saviour is real peace and joy. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever! Love In Christ, Tom

Philippians 4:13,
Brother Robert, ADMIN is the brains and brawn behind Christians Unite. I give thanks that God is using Christians Unite on thousands of Christian Web sites. There is much more to Christians Unite than the forum. It makes me very happy to know that Christians Unite sends out what is called dynamic content for literally thousands of web sites. It's in the forum of devotions, Bible verses, thoughts, Christian News, and a host of other Christian services.
DreamWeaver and I are volunteer moderators just wanting to help and maybe free up some time for ADMIN to spend on a huge list of tasks for the Lord. Take a look at the menu on the left side of the forum page and take a look at an absolutely huge On-line Christian Community. God is working here, and I give God thanks for Christians Unite.
Brother, we are happy to have you with us.
Love In Christ, Tom

Evangelist,
AMEN BROTHER!
It is a time of great urgency to share the Gospel of the Grace of God. The gap is simply a fact, and I give thanks there might be many more saved in what hours or days remain in this age. I'm positive that the Gospel of God's Grace is never wasted, and hosts of lost people are at least hearing it. I pray that God will soften their hearts and they will do more than just hear the GOOD NEWS.
Love In Christ, Tom

AMEN BROTHER TALMADGE!
I'm also a member of One Million Dads, but I must admit that I haven't been very active in months.
It is not a time for Christians to rest, just the opposite. It is a time of urgency to share the Gospel of the Grace of God. It's also a time to pray for our country and our leaders.
Many think it is close to the time for our Lord and Saviour to come. That may be true, and I look for HIS Coming with joy. Until that time, it is time for Christians to stand up, speak up, and go to work, especially with sharing the Gospel of the Grace of God. We will not win any final battles or wars, but our Lord and Saviour most definitely WILL!
Love In Christ, Tom

2nd Timothy,
Brother, that's very interesting. They already have a chip like that used to identify pets. I understand it's about the size of a grain of rice and can be read with a scanner of some sort. I think they place it in the neck of the animal.
So, the technology is already here.

Its time for believers to put on the whole armour of God.
Stand firm....Watch....And keep your hand on the plow!
Jesus IS coming soon!
Maranatha! Amen Brother! If this isn't the end times, it is certainly a preview of the end times. Today wouldn't be quick enough to suit me. Love In Christ, Tom

2nd Timothy, Brothers & Sisters, (Tongue In Cheek)The result from the ultra-liberal media is humorous after the election. I don't know of any Christians who worship George Bush, think he is God-like, or a pillar of Christian example. However, the media is portraying him as such to demean him and further stir the radical left. GET THIS!!! - talk of leaving America because it is too moral for their tastes and they don't want morality in the White House! What a HOOT! It's just too much to bear for some folks to know there is prayer in the White House and an electorate who believe in prayer, morals, and Biblical values. SURPRISE? The ignorance of the ultra-liberal news media about the majority of this country is astounding. Some of them obviously have no clue about the history of this country. Did they really think that everyone was going to get excited and vote for gay marriage and abortion? To imagine that as a platform for an old and respected political party is mind-boggling. I still don't understand it. Maybe they are re-thinking their positions now and wondering if they would have done better by having an openly gay and proud of it Presidential candidate. UM?? - that must be it! OR - Was It Tongue In Cheek?)Love In Christ, Tom

ChristiansUnite and Announcements / ChristiansUnite and Announcements / Rebecca St. James Wants God's Truth to 'Empower' Women
|
on: November 06, 2004, 04:30:14 PM

Rebecca St. James Wants God's Truth to 'Empower' Women by Allie Martin November 4, 2004 (AgapePress) - A popular contemporary Christian recording artist is trying to help women become all that God intends for them to be. In her new book SHE -- an acronym for "safe, healthy, and empowered" -- Rebecca St. James blasts the feminist movement of the 1960s, which she says has resulted in heartache for millions of women. She encourages women not to fall for unrealistic expectations portrayed by the media and by society. See earlier feature about Rebecca St. James and SHE Rebecca St. James Visit her website St. James explains that her book examines nine different areas, "including femininity [and] beauty [and] purpose -- and what the truths are that God has given us in the Bible that can equip us to live as safe, healthy, empowered SHE women." The music artist contends that when women try to fulfill unrealistic expectations, they get burned out because they are looking for their identity from society -- rather than from God and His Word. "A lot of young mothers or a lot of single women are involved in their careers and are kind of struggling with the balances of those areas -- or [they're] doing both," she observes. "[This book is] just looking at the women of today and how can we be empowered to be the women that God created us to be." SHE: The Woman You're Made to Be is published by Tyndale House Publishers and became available this week. In writing the book, St. James teamed up with co-author Lynda Hunter Bjorklund, a national radio show host and former editor of Focus on the Family's Single-Parent Family magazine, to identify the lies of today's culture and to present biblical truths for overcoming them. --------------------------------------------------------- http://news.christiansunite.com/Religion_News/religion01789.shtml Additional information on ChristiansUnite.com is available on the Internet at http://www.christiansunite.com/Copyright © 2003 ChristiansUnite.com.
