Sister Pat,
YES! I've listened to "Just Over in the Glory Land" just in the last couple of days. I've been down almost completely with the flu or some sort of bug, so that was a good excuse to tune into one of my favorite Internet Radio Stations, "All Quartets". I may not be remembering correctly, but wasn't it the Sunshine Boys that made "Just Over in the Glory Land" almost an all-time favorite for Quartets?
Sister Pat, the songs that you have been posting are beautiful, and so are the words. I really enjoy them and thank you sincerely.
Love In Christ, Tom

Sister Pat,
I give thanks for the good news. My wife is at work, so I can sing "Praise Him! Praise Him!" as loudly as I want to. By the way, I love that beautiful old hymn.

AMEN SISTER PAT!
This beautiful devotion and portion of Scripture is just what I needed to start my day. I'm looking back to many fond memories and times with fellow Christian police officers. Psalms 23 was one of our favorite portions of Scripture to read right before we had prayer.
I was fortunate to serve on a police department that was almost entirely Christian. We were allowed to read the Bible and pray in our briefings before going to work. All we had to do is make the offer that those who didn't wish to participate could leave. I don't remember a single officer ever leaving. This was a beautiful way to start the day. I doubt much of the public knows that many law enforcement agencies start the day in the same way. I also doubt that much of the public knows that many groups of police officers pray before they go out on dangerous assignments.

WELCOME AT_THE_CROSS! I'm very happy that you found us, and I hope that you enjoy sweet Christian fellowship here. I keep a stack of favorite Scriptures right next to my computer. I feel led to share the ones I was looking at right before I saw your post. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. These precious portions of Scripture seem to go with the thread. Christians are attacked and persecuted, but God is our refuge. We sometimes get discouraged with all of the attacks and persecution, but God can and will renew us, give us more strength, give us more Grace, and clean our heart of the world's garbage. With God's help, we can stand again and keep trying. Love In Christ, Tom

Brother Talmadge,
I recently read a message from Evangelist in another thread about what Christians are facing in many parts of the world. There are hosts of Christians being beaten, tortured, or killed just for owning a Bible or attending a worship service. In fact, there are already places where Christians are being hunted down for the purpose of extermination.
This makes me very sad, especially considering these people and their countrymen really need JESUS! I'm thinking about those who have to hide to study the Bible or have a worship service. This makes me know beyond any doubt that we take our freedom to worship God for granted. I don't think that many appreciate the blessing God has given us to worship, pray, and study the Bible in peace and safety. This should give us another reason to thank God for what HE has provided. We should also be praying for those around the world who have to risk their very lives to mention Christ, share a Bible, or attend a worship service.
Brother, Americans are spoiled, and I'm one of them. I have numerous Bibles in text or on the computer to study any time I wish. I can pray any time I wish and attend worship services any time I wish. God has richly blessed us with this freedom, and I give thanks for this freedom. We can also share the Gospel of the Grace of God in many ways, including the Internet and places like Christians Unite. We can fellowship openly with each other in many ways and in many places, including Christians Unite. We are rich in the treasures of God's Word and being in Jesus.
Brother, I've been wanting to tell you how much I enjoy your posts.
Love In Christ, Tom

This thread is far too intellectual for my tastes. uh...I neer seen a shred of intellect in here can you really yodel? Yes, I can yodel, just not when my wife is home. I usually go outside to yodel because I like the dogs in the neightborhood to join in. I'm thinking about making a CD. Unlike the cleaning lady, I have to do Windows. %%

Brother Hank,
Thanks for explaining. I never knew what that "not available at this time" message meant. I've gotten quite a bit of that on Christian Sites, and I just didn't realize they had exceeded their free transfer bandwidth and were cut off.
Brother, God will provide for what HE wants you to do. I'll try to help you with what I'm able. I'm more able with time and effort than I am money, but I'll do the best I can. Many people have received a blessing from your work, and I'm one of them. I give thanks that God is using you. I will definitely be praying for you and your ministry.
Love In Christ, Tom

Pastor Roger,
It is painfully obvious that many of the good things that President Bush has done is ignored by the mainstream media. The ultra-liberal mainstream media does not want the people to know.
There are tons of examples that don't make the news at all, and there are tons of other examples that are buried on page z7 with a tiny blurb. Then, there are other examples where the news is distorted and twisted for partisan agendas.
It's pretty sad that the news media manipulates the thoughts and opinions of the public. This is a time when we almost have to find out for ourselves what the truth is.
Love In Christ, Tom
