I've been to upstate NY once during a blizzard. I spent several days about 50 miles South of the Canadian border. I'm from Oklahoma, so the winter weather there would be really hard for me to get used to, but I would say without any doubt that it was incredibly beautiful. Around every corner was another gorgeous picture of God's creation. I want to go back some day during a warmer time of the year. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be green and lush in the spring or summer. I also got to meet some of the kind people who live in the small villages and towns in the mountains.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Christians Unite.

I agree with you completely about Salvation, and I give thanks for the Gospel of the Grace of God. This age will come to an end, and what I wrote about the Mark of the Beast is heavily documented in the Holy Bible. This is the main reason why I believe in a pre-Tribulation RAPTURE of the CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST. I know that Almighty God can't and won't break any of HIS Promises to THE BODY OF CHRIST or to Israel.

Think about this and see what you think. I'm absolutely positive that the devil can't break the SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. That is the main premise of my thoughts on this issue, a Promise from Almighty God.

Now, we come to an absolute fact about Daniel's 70th week of prophecy. Those who take the Mark of the Beast will be damned forever and belong to the devil. It will make no difference at all about what they profess to believe. This is straight out of the Holy Bible. This does not contradict the previous paragraph because the age and dispensation of Grace is over. This is not some wild thoughts of an ultra-dispensationalist or whatever some of these folks are called. The Apostle Paul specifically calls this age the dispensation of Grace. This paragraph is obviously not compatible with the previous paragraph for a big reason:  This age or dispensation of Grace will end. If it didn't end, one would have a huge contradiction in the Holy Bible, and that's not possible.

Sister, you and I will be spending eternity together with JESUS. That is God's Promise to us, and I believe it 100%. You and I are already SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, and we won't be here to worry about the Mark of the Beast. Satan is NOT unleashed completely during our present time, but he will be at God's appointed time. How will the devil be completely unleashed and allowed to rule and reign over the earth from Jerusalem? The answer involves many other answers. The GREAT RESTRAINER (HOLY SPIRIT) will be removed. Since the Holy Spirit lives in each heart of THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST must be also removed. In fact, the CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST will be RAPTURED, caught up to meet the LORD in the air. This is also a Promise of Almighty God that I believe in 100%.

Sister, our differences of opinion on this issue means nothing to me. I know beyond any doubt that you are in CHRIST. You were very wise to question what I said. The answer involves the end of this age and our eternity together with JESUS. You and I both know that the hope within us, JESUS, is absolute reality. If we die today - "Absent from the body, present with the LORD." "If Jesus comes for us" is not a question because we both know beyond any doubt that we will spend eternity with HIM. The question involves the timing of Bible prophecy and how it will most certainly be fulfilled. If we are still physically alive at HIS appointed time to come for us, we will be caught up to spend eternity with HIM. If we physically die before the RAPTURE, our Spirit will already be with JESUS, but our bodies will be caught up. We will also be given a glorified body at HIS appointed time. Regardless, our eternal reality is already SEALED in JESUS. Any differences we may have now we be left behind and forgotten forever. We will be far too busy with joy, praise, and worship of JESUS to remember any of the trials and conflicts of this short life on earth. The tears, sorrow, and trials will be over forever.

I agree completely with Brother Gary. We are more than conquerors only in Christ.

JESUS loves you and you know that HE loved you enough to die for you. You are now a member of THE BODY OF CHRIST. You are being held in the Mighty Hands of Jesus, and no power in Heaven or earth can pluck you from HIS Hands. It is time for you to proclaim victory in JESUS, praise HIM, and take your place HE has given you. You have been given an inheritance with the saints in LIGHT, and that LIGHT is JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever. You are a child of GOD who is set apart forever as belonging to HIM. The Holy Spirit of God lives in your heart, and you have been made a citizen of Heaven.

It is far past time for you to focus on who you are in JESUS, not who you were when you lived in darkness without HIM. It is time for you to praise and worship JESUS and let HIM be the LORD over your life. HE will help you overcome the old person you were before you accepted JESUS CHRIST. That old person is negative and trying to rob you of the victory all Christians have in JESUS. Your new person in JESUS is reality, and you need to feed that new person from HIS WORD. Make that new person in JESUS strong enough to take over and shove that old person out of your life.

You are not a freak. You are a child of God. JESUS died for you, so you are NOT insignificant or unworthy. JESUS will and has forgiven you. It is the BLOOD OF JESUS on the CROSS that washes away your sins as if they never happened. JESUS has spiritual riches that HE wants to feed you with every day so that your born again person in Christ will become stronger and stronger, overcoming the old person.

Sister, I pray for you every day. Just remember that you are a precious possession of JESUS, one of HIS children that he died for. HE wants to love you, guide you, and walk with you every step of the way. When you are weak, HE is strong. You will never be alone again, as HE is with you and lives in your heart.

There are many forums on the Internet with varying rules and purposes. You are a guest on this forum so long as you obey the forum rules. There are obviously forums that cater to Catholics and Evolutionists, but this isn't one of them, nor will it ever be.

ADMIN's rules are blunt and simple for many reasons, one being that potential new users can quickly see if they will be happy at Christians Unite. Many of the rules were initiated by ADMIN because of past experience with topics that were extremely destructive and caused division that made Christians Unite a war zone instead of a Christian Family Forum. Some of the forum rules were also initiated by ADMIN to make Christians Unite a safe place that Christians would feel comfortable in letting their children use it.

You can also quickly find a "Statement of Faith" on Christians Unite in many places. It and the rules are there for obvious reasons. We have Christians of many different denominations who enjoy Christian fellowship here. That's the purpose for the forum rules, and they represent much more than a hint about what will be done to preserve Christians Unite as a place for Christian Family fellowship, obviously including children.

It's all pretty plain and simple. There are no pulpits here for anything that is contrary to the teachings of the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is the primary authority that ADMIN used in making the forum rules. If someone disagrees with ADMIN's Forum Rules, nobody is forcing that person to use Christians Unite. It's all a matter of choice, and we have a large number of sweet Christians who do choose to use and enjoy Christians Unite.

There are many other valid points to consider. You can read between the lines:

An Inauguration is supposed to be a celebration of a free country putting one into the highest office in the land. "We The People" put them in office or take them out of office. Typically, an Inauguration is supposed to be a unifying, non-partisan event to say that we as a country are ready to go forward with the person we have put in office.

The vast majority of the costs were paid with private dollars, with the exception of some of the security costs.

One could compare the Inauguration to a host of simple things that are a symbol of pride in a free country that stands as an example to all. Let's take a few very simple things and think about them:

Why do the Armed Services have a dress uniform?

Why do the Armed Services have marching bands?

Why do Law Enforcement Agencies have dress uniforms?

Why do we have a White House and other fancy buildings that are representative of a free people? Couldn't we simply rent a Motel 6 and achieve the same purpose?

Finally, was there a tremendous statement made when the President and First Lady walked in the open air without the protection of the bullet-proof limo? What if we stopped making such statements that all of the above make? We are a free country, and we used our freedoms to elect the person of our choice to fill the most powerful office in the world today. It is now time for all people, especially Christians, to get behind our elected representatives and forge ahead. For Christians, it should be a matter of daily prayer, regardless of whether our candidate got elected or not. Christians should be praying for all of our leaders every day, and the prayers should be no less fervent if we disagree with some of the things they are doing. In fact, the prayers should be more fervent if we disagree with what they are doing. The same would be true if a non-Christian occupies the office. In fact, the prayers should be more often and fervent if a non-Christian is one of our leaders or elected representatives.

Just two cents worth - I hope.

Sister, thanks for sharing this with us. I look around today with absolute shock about what is happening in so many so-called churches and ministries. If they are churches and ministries, they belong to the devil, not Christ. Most older Christians would have never dreamed some of the things happening today. What bothers me the most is some who flaunt their open and continued wallowing in sin and darkness, all the while professing Jesus. In my opinion, this is slapping our Lord and Saviour in the face with evil, and they never knew Jesus, nor does JESUS know them.

It appears that we have the makings of another pleasant and great discussion.

We really have a massive amount of material already on the forum that represents years of work by several of our users. I might add that the material is excellent, highly documented from the Holy Bible, and presents several points of view.

I would simply like to add 2 cents worth again for thought. Daniel's 70 weeks were determined on Israel, not THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST. The first 69 weeks of Daniel's prophecy have been fulfilled, but the 70th week remains in the future. It is imperative to note that each day in Daniel's week represents 1 year. So, 1 week is 7 years. Let this be the first penny worth, I hope.

Christians who are saved in this age or dispensation of Grace have the Holy Spirit living in their hearts, and their heart is SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, setting aside that Christian as a possession of God forever. No power in Heaven or earth can break the SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. AND, that would include the Mark of the Beast. The devil certainly can't break the SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, so Christians won't be here to worry about the Mark of the Beast. Christians will already be home in Heaven with JESUS. There will be hosts of new Christians that are saved during the Tribulation Period, and they will be damned forever if they yield to the Mark of the Beast. We must remember that the Age and dispensation of God's Grace is over with the beginning of the Tribulation Period. The Restrainer (Holy Spirit) will be removed, and new Christians during the Tribulation Period will prove their faith by having their heads chopped off. Those who profess Christ will be hunted to the ends of the earth, and their Salvation will depend on rejecting the Mark of the Beast. This is NOT a condition of Salvation for Christians who profess Christ in this current age. In fact, Christians in this current age have promises from God and the SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT that CAN'T BE BROKEN. I hope this another penny worth.

LET IT GET YOU DOWN

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Eph. 3: 14).

When adversity strikes, the world keeps telling us:

"Don’t let it get you down," but believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have learned that it is good to let troubles and difficulties get them down -- down on their knees. A native evangelist in Africa sat outside his hut discouraged and unhappy. Trouble and disappointment had brought "great coldness" into his heart and he seemed ready to give up. The Lord, he felt, had utterly forsaken him.

As he sat there, though, his little girl kept nudging him and saying: "Daddy, go inside and pray ." Finally it worked!  The evangelist went inside, poured his heart out to God and arose feeling sure that the Lord would see him through.

It is good for us to get down on our knees before God. There is no attitude more appropriate to the redeemed sinner. And as we pray, often falteringly....

"The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

"And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" (Rom. 8:26-28).

"Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding. shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6,7).
