16  Prayer / General Discussion / Re: Bibles on: July 04, 2006, 10:18:34 AM
I wonder ------->
will we be able to rely on the Christ in us, the word in us, the word we have heard &

which over the time has been confirmed in our being.  When there are no bibles & we are back to ''word

of mouth''.
17  Theology / General Theology / Re: "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" on: July 04, 2006, 09:55:23 AM
Gal. 5 : 1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, & do not let yourself be burdenedagain by a yoke of slavery.

He did it all on the cross that we might be free to choose to be in Chrsit & Him in us. We have been crucified & raised as new in Him
That we might be on the firmest foundation possible. The realisation that we have a new boss who only wants the best for us is freeing in it's self. We're no longer bound by satan..
18  Theology / General Theology / Re: “The Most Serious Assault Against Christianity” is … The Da Vinci Code? on: June 30, 2006, 03:51:18 AM
Just a few thoughts after reading many of your post.

The moderation expressed here is commendable.

The 'wheat' & 'tare's' are now to be seen by all mankind, as we were told.

We were also told that things would get much worse before things were wound up.
Isn't this why we have been given armour individually made for us?

Don't you think that every time there is a new 'tare' declared
eg. no virgin birth, no risen Christ, ''Chariots of the gods,'' ''De Vinci code'' etc  that  it makes people who sit on the fence choose to go Gods way or to reject Him & face the penalties.?  Doesn't this sort out some of the 'tare's' from the whole. What makes me choose correctly to go Gods way/ often a kick up the backside. How about you??
19  Fellowship / What are you doing? / ??????? on: June 27, 2006, 08:29:22 AM
My answer is ''Living''----- for Jesus.             Smiley

That's why He went obediently to the cross. That I might be useful to Him.   Huh

I always have trouble with people who say ''I have a Ministry'' .  Until they are able ''to put it down'' so that the ''fruits'' may be seen, their humility realised.  I don't think Jesus can work with that person.
 Undecided
Aren't ALL born again Christians in Full Time ministry???

Another thought   doesn't ''My ministry ''allienate thoses new to ''the walk'', church, community, fellowship.Huh?

20  Welcome / About You! / Me-------> on: June 24, 2006, 04:30:51 PM
There are none so blind
                              than those who can-not see-----
I GREW up in a “normal “ Christian home. I went to the Sunday school when I was very young which I think I liked. When I was older it was suggested that I join the Cub Scouts & later the Scouts.  I was never very enthusiastic about things thought to be “good for me”. When I finally managed to get out of Scouts, “I had to do something” else equally beneficial.
CHOIR: Singing in Mum & Dad’s local, high C.of E. church. I can remember absorbing the sounds of voices united in the joy of singing. Anyway that’s how I heard it!   That enjoyment in praise & worship has stayed with me. During those years I did many of the thing boys in their early teens did, most of it was seen normal ”for that age”.
PEOPLE didn’t see me as a bad person but I was heading nowhere. I couldn’t see the hand of God held out before me. The life I had became duller there was no challenge or self-satisfaction, nor had I formed any real friendships. This all seeped into my system slowly.
STILL a teenager I remember one evening (not the date) crying out to God for relief from my “life of little value”.I knew I was a sinner, I believed I was not worthy of having my cries answered & how right I was!!(I now know, however, that forgiveness is a free gift)
I THANK God he arranged for me to marry a girl with similar values to my own & together we sought for the answers to those seemingly unanswerable questions that all have asked at some time & about living the life that the Creator created us for (i.e. living in full relationship with Him!)
THE THICK shell of self-protection, built up over a period of 40 years, cracked in August 1978, 6,000 miles across land & sea, in a log cabin in Canada. While the family were quietly chatting in the beautiful fading dusk, I felt as if my heart broke, “I give in” –with these words the mental aches & pains rolled off my shoulder as I gave myself into the hands of Jesus. Had I ever heard His voice before?
NOW I could see where I had been bought back from. I now know that the obedience of Jesus to His Father saved me & in Him I now have someone more than just a friend, who I can implicitly trust in all situations. What a challenge, to give & not just receive & He only wants my “Self”.
LIFE has been far from dull since He answered my cry of years ago. There is now a joy deep down inside that nothing can take away. It’s there in the good times & when I’m under pressure. The problems of life have not evaporated but life has a new meaning, a purpose, security, reality & promises to get even better.
PLEASE accept this small part of my life…How God manoeuvred me into a living relationship with His Son, Jesus, & to where I could see that His hand was held out to me.
GOD through Jesus Christ is ready to meet us (Whatever we have done!) if only we will recognise His presence & our need of Him.
21  Entertainment / Laughter (Good Medicine) / Anti P.C. joke??? on: June 24, 2006, 05:43:32 AM

I'm against this overboard love of the Political Correctness in our countries. So is this is a way round it.?   :?  Tongue   Cool      Cheesy
  Nationality 1  (N1)
  Nationality 2  (N2)                   it's your choice
  Nationality 3  (N3)

Evey day the workers on the building site, took their lunch boxes up to what ever height they were working at that day.
At midday the opened their boxes.
N1 says''Not again I've got Marmite sandwiches, if she give them to me again I'll throw myself of this building'
N2 says '' Ork now, ma sweet has made Marmite sarnies once again I'll be jumping off this staging if she dina give me something other than these tomorrow''
N3 says '' Begorra I've Marmite sandwiches again, I'll be doing the same as you two if there is no change tomorrow''.

The next day come as does the lunch break.
N1 opens his boxes '' Oh no '' he says & jump off to splat on the paving below.
N2 '' Tis'na reat, I dina believe it Marmite again'' he runs & dives off the staging, making a terrible mess on the deck below.
N3 ''Bejeppers  there's no change''  he runs & jump to his death.

At the funeral the wives gathered.

The first wife says'' If only he had told me I would have bought some ham''
The second says '' He never complained , how was iI to know he hated them''
The third said ''I don't understand it, he always made his own sandwiches.''[/quote]
