16  Entertainment / Television / Re: The Tomb of Jesus on: March 09, 2007, 02:18:53 PM

I pray that this will only cause more people to read the Bible for themselves and that the Spirit of God leads them into the truth, and that their eyes would be opened. That what the enemy meant for evil God turns into good.

Amen to that!!!!
17  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re: Christian belief a 'hate crime' under plan on: March 07, 2007, 11:48:34 AM
You're exactly right. Before we vote we should get on our knees and ask the Lord to show us who to vote for.
18  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re: Christian belief a 'hate crime' under plan on: March 07, 2007, 02:54:15 AM
This is just an example of:

What Democrats Stand For

More power to the Government, Less to the People
The murder of innocent unborn children
The funding of perverted and unethical medical and scientific tests
The taking away of Constitutional Rights
They are anti-military
They are for perversion and against decency
They give rights to criminals and ignore or deny the rights of the victims
And most female Democrats are misandroginistic

If I'm wrong show me and I'll deny all of this.
19  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: James Cameron launches 'Titanic' assault on Resurrection on: March 07, 2007, 02:36:22 AM
Did anybody see 'PEOPLE' magazine this week?(March 12, 2007)

There's an article on page 178 titled "IS THIS JESUS' TOMB?"
Under it it reads 'Titanic director James Cameron thinks he's found the tomb of Jesus Christ. Skeptics say he should stick to shipwrecks.'

Towards the the end of the article it states that a Harvard archeologist thinks it's an attempt to exploit The DaVinci Code noting that there were 71 Jesuses buried in the cemetary where the boxes were found and he quoted, "I would describe this as a sheep-and-donkey show."

And this is from a secular magazine. Hilarious!!!!!
20  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Campaign to install 'gays' in military begun on: March 07, 2007, 02:25:56 AM
This is just another proposition by the far left bleeding heart liberals to undermine anything that is decent and weaken America. It would pretty much stop young men and women from signing up with the military as it would be seen as an undesirable choice. Sounds a great deal like what weakened Rome when it brought in men from different nation. Rome had an easy stance towards gays and homosexuality and it contributed to its fall. This is just another chop in the foundations that hold America up.

21  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: James Cameron launches 'Titanic' assault on Resurrection on: March 06, 2007, 12:23:12 PM
If you read down in the section called 'TELEVISION' I wrote something about it.
The only thing that kept coming to my mind was - 'Why are you looking for the l;iving amongst the dead?'
22  Entertainment / Television / The Tomb of Jesus on: March 05, 2007, 04:38:39 AM
Okay, I admit it, I watched it. But not after I watched the 'Dark Ages' on  history channel. It was a far better show.

Anyway, I watched these idiots go into an antiquities warehouse and look at clay burial boxes but I forgot what the name they gave them. Anyway they said they could read the names scratched on the outside of the boxes. One of them was Jesus Bar Josef, they claimed. But the interesting thing was the experts seemed really reluctant to say it was the tomb of Jesus. Can't blame them.

But for me the clincher to the whole wasted 2 hours was when they went into the second tomb under the apartment building. They had been told that the tomb had been sealed up to keep children out as it had been used by them to play in.
They found what they claimed to be Holy Books but then found out that the books had been buried by a local school as it is believed it wrong to burn Holy Books. One paper they said was an ancient book called the 'Book of Jonah."Then one made a statement that sent warning bells ringing in my head. He said, "It says in the Bible that Jesus told His disciples that if they wanted to know what he was doing to read in the Book of Jonah."

WHAT!!!?Huh??

Now this disturbed me as I couldn't recall Jesus saying anything of the kind. So I went to the concordance of my Bible and looked it up. This is what it read:

THE BOOK OF JONAH

Jonah, a native of Galilee, one of the earlier prophets, 2 Ki. 14:25.
Called to go as a missionary to Nineveh and warn the enemies of his country; he went with great reluctance.
This narrative has been ridiculed as a myth by unbelievers, and is regarded by some scholars as a legend or parable.
The Jews accept it as historical.
Jesus Christ vouched for its truth.
Mt. 12:39-41
Lu. 11:29,30

By misquoting the Bible they condemn themselves because it says:

Matthew says:

39 He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.

And Luke says:

29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, "This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.
30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation.

In the end they proved nothing only that two of the people were not related.
Basically it was filled with lot of IF'S and IMAGINE'S proving nothing. A waste of time, energy and manpower; a tempest in a tea cup.

Watching them mount cameras on top of little robots and sending them up the air shafts of pyramids would have been more interesting.
23  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / DNA of Jesus on: March 04, 2007, 08:02:55 PM
It was reported that they have the DNA of Jesus from the bones that were in the tombs supposedly of Jesus, his wife and son.
Well, the other evening I heard a late night show emcee say the following:

"They claim to have the DNA of Jesus Christ from the bones in the tomb they found in Jerusalem. Are you kidding me? They can't even tell who the father of Anna Nichole Smith's father is, how can they tell if they have Jesus's DNA?"

And I rest my case.
24  Entertainment / Laughter (Good Medicine) / Mean Moms on: March 01, 2007, 12:54:13 AM
   Mean Moms

Someday when my children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will
tell them, as my Mean Mom told me: I loved you
enough . . . to ask where you were going, with whom,
and what time you would be home.

I loved you enough to be silent and let you
discover that your new best friend was a creep.

I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours
while you cleaned your room, a job that should have taken 15 minutes.

I loved you enough to let you see anger,
disappointment, and tears in my eyes. Children must
learn that their parents aren't perfect.

I loved you enough to let you assume the
responsibility for your actions even when the
penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.

But most of all, I loved you enough . . . to say
NO when I knew you would hate me for it.

Those were the most difficult battles of all. I'm
glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.
And someday when your children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.

Was your Mom mean? I know mine was. We had the
meanest mother in the whole world! While other kids
ate candy for breakfast, we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.

When others had a Pepsi and a Twinkie for lunch, we had to eat sandwiches.

And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was
different from what other kids had, too.

Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all
times. You'd think we were convicts in a prison. She
had to know who our friends were, and what we were
doing with them. She insisted that if we said we
would be gone for an hour, we would be gone for an hour or less.

We were ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve
to break the Child Labor Laws by making us work.  We had to wash the dishes,   make the beds, learn to
cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, empty the trash
and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie
awake at night thinking of more things for us to do.

She always insisted on us telling the truth, the
whole truth, and nothing but the truth. By the time
we were teenagers, she could read our minds and had
eyes in the back of her head. Then, life was really tough!

Mother wouldn't let our friends just honk the horn
when they drove up. They had to come up to the door
so she could meet them. While everyone else could
date when they were 12 or 13, we had to wait until we were 16 .

Because of our mother we missed out on lots of
things other kids experienced. None of us have ever
been caught shoplifting, vandalizing other's
property or ever arrested for any crime. It was all her fault.

Now that we have left home, we are all educated,
honest adults. We are doing our best to be mean
   parents just like Mom was.

I think that is what's wrong with the world today.
It just doesn't have enough mean moms!
25  Entertainment / Laughter (Good Medicine) / Ice Cream is good for the soul on: March 01, 2007, 12:48:28 AM
My friend sent this to me and I want to share it with you.

My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace.

As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for
the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for
dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman
remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know
how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is
God mad at me?"

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job, and God was
certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a
great prayer."

Really?" my son asked.

Cross my heart," the man replied.

Then, in a theatrical whisper, he added (indicating the woman whose remark
had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A
little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared
at his for a moment, and then did something I will remember the rest of my
life.

He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it in
front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you.
Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already."

The End

Sometimes, we all need some ice cream
I hope God sends you some Ice Cream today!

27  Theology / Debate / Re: IS BUDDHA A SERVANT OF CHRIST if not then why is he described in the BIBLE on: February 28, 2007, 10:16:43 AM
Doesn't Buddaism believe in reincarnation ?
If you don't get it right in this lifetime you can try again in the next.
What a bunch of phooey!!!

Scripture tells us that 1st we die and then comes the judgement.

Reincarnation is just man's way of trying to convince himself that he's not on his way to hell.
If reincarnation were truth the there would be no need of a savior. But we need a savior. We need Christ. He is the only true way to salvation. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Any other door is a deception no matter how good it makes us feel.
Pray that God's Merciful Hand would fall upon all Buddist and that their eyes would be opened to the Truth and Grace of God and that they would be saved.
Afterall, He died for them, too.
28  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Why does the media try to discredit Christianity? on: February 28, 2007, 09:56:13 AM
God's word is seen as an offense. It pricks the minds and hearts of men convicting them of their sin. It makes a hard and callous world feel afraid of the truth because the truth brings light to sin and they would rather that their sin not be exposed.

Christ is their stumbling block that they try to ignore and legislate away. But it is always there convicting them and making them feel uncomfortable and offended.

And it always will.
29  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: James Cameron launches 'Titanic' assault on Resurrection on: February 27, 2007, 03:53:43 PM
Everytime ya turn around another BIG fat lie is coming out of Satan ... boy he must be trembling knowing that his time is almost up!!!!!!!!!!

AMEN TO THAT!!!!!

Now I know why the Lord gave me that scripture in Isaiah 45:9

"9 Woe to him who strives with his Maker!--a worthless piece of broken pottery among other pieces equally worthless [and yet presuming to strive with his Maker]! Shall the clay say to him who fashions it, What do you think you are making? or, Your work has no handles?"

The King James Version call them potsherd.
If you drop a clay pot it shatters into worthless pieces of shards and they're good for nothing except to be thrown away.
They truly do not know or understand who they are contending with.
How can you war against the Creator and expect to win?
They are fighting the Bad Fight.
We must pray for these people for they are greatly deceived and are deceiving many.
30  Prayer / Answered Prayer / Praying for the USA on: February 24, 2007, 08:25:44 AM
I'm not quite sure of where to put this so if it's in the wrong place I'm trusting that it will be transfered to the correct area.

Anyway, I really felt a burden to pray for our country, the USA. Sometimes I get so upset and fearful for us as a country that I cry out to God and I feel like my heart is breaking because it seems we have, as a nation, pulled so faraway from God. I pray that the Lord would shake us and bring us back to His Righteousness.
And the other day when I was doing just that God gave me this scripture. I know He was speaking to me but I feel He's speaking to all believers.

He said to me "I am in control. Do not fear or fret. My children are in My Hand and I will care for them."

Isaiah 45:8-13
Amplified Bible

8 Let fall in showers, you heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness [the pure, spiritual, heaven-born possibilities that have their foundation in the holy being of God]; let the earth open, and let them [skies and earth] sprout forth salvation, and let righteousness germinate and spring up [as plants do] together; I the Lord have created it.

9  Woe to him who strives with his Maker!--a worthless piece of broken pottery among other pieces equally worthless [and yet presuming to strive with his Maker]! Shall the clay say to him who fashions it, What do you think you are making? or, Your work has no handles?(A)

10 Woe to him [who complains against his parents that they have begotten him] who says to a father, What are you begetting? or to a woman, With what are you in travail?

11 Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Would you question Me about things to come concerning My children, and concerning the work of My hands [would you] command Me?

12 I made the earth and created man upon it. I, with My hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

13 I will raise [Cyrus] up in righteousness [willing in every way that which is right and proper], and I will direct all his ways; he will build My city, and he will let My captives go, not for hire or for a bribe, says the Lord of hosts.

I am both thankful and glad that I am God's Mighty Hand and He will protect me.
