Hi again spectre,
Give it to Lord. He will guide you. If it is meant for you to be together He will work things out.
This is very good advice for life situations in general, including relationships! No one knows you better then the Lord and no one will listen more intently

I love this thread! Some of the responses have nothing to do with coffee, yet somehow they just seem to fit in. Its great! Maybe its because I'm drinking my coffee while reading this, either way, its a very kewl thread. ps. The old woman with the rolling pin is very scary!

Prayer / General Discussion / Re: Believers Versus Non Believers??

I believe the Bible is very clear, but the Lord does have a way of bringing situations and people into ones life that simply can not be avoided. The real question is what will you do if you find yourself in this situation? Really, at the end of the day, for people struggling with this, what will you do? Sometimes God is up to something, directly involved, take the issue to Him. As I said, I agree, it would be very hard for me to be involved (married) to a nonbeliever, but thats my life and my walk. I remember at one point I did find myself in this situation as far as dating was concerned. It was very hard, I brought it to God, left it to him and he used a Tree! Ephesians 6:10-18

I wasn't really sure where to post this, the music thread or here. I figure because you can't hear the music, the lyrics are simply poetry. The reason I'm sharing this here is, well, I was in the secular music scene for a while, in what I would consider a fairly successful band. I was "saved" at the time, but sometime we choose to go on our own path, find our own way, and yes, I fell flat on my face. I will tell you however, that the Lord stayed with me every step of the way, and infact was there to pick me up as soon as I fell. I learned a great deal. In the depths of my confusion I wrote the following song lyrics almost nine years ago. Its a conversation that I had with the Lord one night, a song that really changed my life forever. You will not find mention of the Lord's name here, but trust me, its who I was talking to. Thanks for letting me post it!
Innocence
All I can say is that I'm sorry Morning comes with the strength to wake Did I surrender all my sunshine I'm lost in rain again Do you know the thoughts I'm thinking Would you care if I turned away When winter blisters in the moonlight I'm lost in rain again But I feel you, like we're standing face to face And I feel you, show my way, please show my way
If the sky begins to fall will I lose it all I'm looking for my innocence, looking for my innocence If this world should make me crawl will I lose it all I'm looking for my innocence, looking for my innocence
Please tell me I'm mistaken If I'm the only one I'll take the blame For life's a late night rated movie When I lost in rain again But you live in me Eventhough they scream "disgrace" I don't care what they mean Take my place, won't you take my place
Go and seek and let it turn into tomorrow, turn into tomorrow The fear they feed All that they have borrowed from the hands of sorrow in me
If the sky begins to fall will I lose it all I'm looking for my innocence, looking for my innocence If this world should make me crawl will I lose it all I'm looking for my innocence, looking for my innocence Save me.

Welcome Crusader, I have much the same story, well the music part anyway, just not as long, 7 years! I always find it interesting the twists and turns in life, where the Lord is leading us and what role our past plays. For me it was all simply this: "Eventually he saw he had been running to Christ, and flight from the past had been one of the means used by God to propel him forward." Looking forward to the fellowship!

I should probably stop before I get myself in trouble..LOL! I often take my coffee black. Yes, I must say my tastes have changed over the years. Sometimes, I find myself putting a dash of cream in my cup, but more then often just black will do fine. (notice my quick change of subject )

Okay....here is a test for the old timers My wife is a fairly new coffee drinker and likes it very much. We were in a coffee shop the other day and she ordered two "regular" coffees. I was a bit concerned because growing up when my father ordered a "regular" coffee that meant cream and sugar. Sugar is a not very good for me (type I diabetic) so I watched the clerk make it to be sure no sugar was added. My wife said "why are you staring at him?" So after I explained a "regular" coffee, she called me crazy (its the wife thing to do ) Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And yes, if anyone does reply I will be pointing this post out to her while saying "SEE!". (Very Christian of me )
