1  Theology / General Theology / Re: World War 3 on: April 02, 2006, 05:18:27 PM
Learn what? To wave the flag and cheer on the war? To talk more kids into joining and coming back dead or crippled? Gooing to war because a nationes internal polocies do not mach our idea of what it should be is dead wrong. As we slouch towards Gomorra, we are in no position to "Free" anybody into our problems.
2 Peter 2:19 Promising freedom while they themselves are slaves to corruption.
This is the most arrogant time of churches since the crusades.

And how many Midevil Priests issued the proclamation "be baptised or be burned at the stake? I do believe that Scripture says "There are non rightous, not a one" That includes us. Show one tape where Bin Laden makes this demand. If Islam will spread here ,it is not from Al Quieda but from within. Here in CA, we had Muslim kids smash all the bottles in several liquor stores. A follow up report states that Islam is the fastest growing movement in the Black community. The reason? As one Muslim leader stated. "Our #1 souce of converts are Black women who are sick & tired of having 5 or 6 children from 5 or 6 different men. Black men who are sick and tired of having 5 or 6 child suppor payments. All this time, your churches have been saying "Go ahead! we are under Grace! just use a condom!" We are the only ones who firmly say "This is not right! You need to stop it!"

Invading other nations and imposing our opostasy will only inflame the situation.
They say "Convert or die" You say Convert or we bomb you!"
I will continue to talk kids out of joining and for those who changed their mind, will help them cancel thier enlistments.

COmabt veterans don't cheer for war and don't cry to star ones. Arrogant are those who send others to do the dying while waiving the flag and not having to pay or suffer. Can anybody show me the huge fleet of ships that would be needed to bring the hundreds of thousands of Islamic enforcers here to occupy us and "Take away our freedoms? Sorry, but those pwoplw over there cannot take away our freedom, only we can do that ourselves and I for one cannot suker kids into going over there and imposing our slouch towards Gomorra upon other nations. I have and will continue to talk kids out of joining and even helped a couple cancel their enlisments.
The "Freedom" Christ talks about is not our poitical freedom but freedom from the bobadge to sin. Nowhere are we called upon to impose political freedom. There is no Gospel of Bombs & Bullets.

War, by its very nature is an unlawful act so there is no such thing as a "Legal war"
The only legal side in any war is the one who is repelling the agressor.
Since there is no Scriptural basis for a Gospel of Bombs & Bullets, how can we say that we are doing God's work in Iraq?
5  Theology / General Theology / Re: World War 3 on: April 02, 2006, 04:47:10 PM
Where is Scripture does it say that there is any World war?
Why does the final battle have to be WW3 and not WW4,5,6,or 7?
6  Theology / General Theology / Re: World War 3 on: April 02, 2006, 11:44:33 AM
We can all diagree, but when we call for war and go on a modern day version of a Crusade, it is time to be critical. If WW4 (By the way, the Cold War was WW3)
Too many Churches "Put the match to the gasoline" and fanned the flames of this war. Ideas are one thing, to put ones ideas into action and start wars is quite another. In this situation, too many Pastors were pounding their pulpits calling for President Bush not to stop in Iraq but to continue to send fourth out Christian Army and not stop until the entire world was united under the flag od America and Cross of Christ. As we are now bogged down in the first two countries of this crusade, the very people who were beating the war drums are now bemoaning the start of WW3 (or 4 if you count the Cold War). So yes, I am critical. But these are critical times.

There always has been someone who wants us dead, and there always will be.
Right now, anybody who will force his way into my door and threaten my family is far more likely to be an American criminal. Invading other nations and imposing our opostasy is not the answer. I learned very quickly that war is not the glorious adventure too many of these chickenhawks claim it is. It is easy to cheer for war when you are not the one having a blast in Bagdad. During my 26 years in the military, Viet Nam Combat veterans have always kept my young eagerness to go to war in check. The day I had to dive under a real ship looking for a real bomb to defuse, I finally realized what all those combat veterans are talking about.
I myself was more than willing to do domestic harbor defense, and even willing to go to Afgahnistan to get the ones who actually did it on 9-11. But to invade Iraq in the name of democracy, that is where I drew the line. In disagreement to what was then the up and comming war, I submitted my retirement papers.

I'm affraid that we are not as innocent as we would like to think. We have a nasty habbit of turning todays allies into tomorrows enemies. When, in our arrogance we brushed asside the Cuban insurgents who helped us in the Spanish-American War, the same movement finally gave us Castro. Ho Chi Minh was our Ally
in WW2, we armed him to fight the Japanese. He turned on us and went to the Soviets for help only after we sided with the French and told him to get back under the thumb of Paris. Osama was our Ally too, as long as he was "Killing commies for Allah" He was ok. After 8 years of Americas answer to Ahab & Jezzabel in the White House who was trying to impose godless liberalism upon the Arabian countries, He began to turn on us. The final strw was when, in 1993, "President Ahab" announed that he was renegging on Bush 41's promise not to establish a permanent pressence in Saudi Arabia. He, for all practical purposes, said "We lied! we are staying here forever!" I have yet to hear any demmand that "We all convert to Islam". The only demand I have heard is that we honor our promise not to establish a permant presence in the Middle East. Oh they might love to occupy us but all they can do it hit us every now & then. So the only way we can "Lose our freedom" would be if we decide to surrender after one too many 9-11's.

WW3 is going to be the final war? You know that for a fact? We have become pretty arrogant to believe that only the end times can bring us down. We could be just another empire on the brink and many more can rise up to take our place before the final days actually do come. Did not Jesus say "Nobody knows the day or the hour"? Funny how just a couple of years ago, "Our Christian President" was going to
Kill off all the worlds dicatators, install freedom & democracy throughout the world, and have Jesus arrive on Air Force One. Now, things are going to hell in a handbasket?
10  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Christian peace activists vow to stay in Iraq on: April 02, 2006, 01:40:06 AM
I don't agree with this war and I don't agree with these so called peace activists but I do respect their consitancy.
11  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: 'We're on the eve of World War III' on: April 02, 2006, 01:37:26 AM
The way I see it:
- Our own abortion clinics kill more American babies than any terrorist
- Our own street gangs kill more Americans than any Terrorist organization
- Our own drug dealers poison more amercans than any ntions chemical weapons
- Our own sexual immorality infects more Americans than anybody'd bio weapons

Sorry, but our biggest threat is from within.
12  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Democrats Pledge to 'Eliminate' Osama on: April 02, 2006, 01:33:02 AM
With what? The weapons they tried to keep Reagan from building?
Had Clinton, Gore, or Kerry been President on 9-11, I would have refused to answer my re call to active duty for I will never fire a weapon on orders from a Liberal. If I were face to face with Osama and a President Clinton, Gore or Kerry ordered me to shoot him I would throw down my weapon and say "With what? the gun you don't believe in?"
13  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Religious Conservatives Gather to Discuss 'War Against Christians' on: April 02, 2006, 01:29:13 AM
Did not jesus say i would come to this? Do we really need to lament what is happening? WHO is in control? WHO is going to strike down the nations and rule with a rod of iron? What is there to lament over? When the Appostles wrote their Appistles, what was going on back then? Nothing that is happening today even begins to campare with what Nero was doing. If we are "Losing" the culture war is is because:

The divorce rate inside the Church is little different than that on the outside

The Teen pregnancy rate within the Church is the same as on the outside

The Abortion rate inside the Church is the same as the rest of society.

If we are to reflect Christs victory on the Cross, we need to work on making our salt salty again, not lamenting over a defeated enemy.
14  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: U.S. Liberals Defending Islam Are Supporting Terrorists' Agenda on: April 02, 2006, 01:21:03 AM
I had always though that the threat of physical violaence should not terrorize a Christian. Did not Christ teach "Fear not those who destroy the boby and leave the spirit, Fear those who destroy the Spirit and leave the body"? The term "Terrorism" should not exist in the Christian vocabulary.

As far as "Wartime" is concerned, nobody here really knows what war is. Some of those serving in the military are getting "Trigger time" but for most of us, we need the news to explain to us that there is a war going on. When everybody has to deal with shortages because they are needed for war, when there is a draft and every community knows someone who came home in a box. When every day one wonders if the town or city will still be standing the next day, then we can say "We are at war"

As far as Islam is concerned, we both go too far. They beat their women for showing a little too much skin, our women show all the skin they want and have men arrested for rape for reacting to it. Are we really better? While religious fundamentalism Islam, Judaism, or so called Christian is not the answer to ourslouch towards Gommorra, Niether is our decadence the answewr to thier fundamentalism.
