31  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Hail, Caesar! on: July 17, 2003, 03:57:04 AM
While justice provides law and order, mercy provides hope and forgiveness-God's formula for restoration.

Wow, it is always amazing to me when I hear of such extremes and how the media opts for the slant on the mode of America.  I know Pat is looked at in certain ways, but the morals.....come on.
When the show really began to display evidence to me, (knowing prophecy), about twenty years ago I never would have imagined it would spin this fast into such hard core, down right evil end time proof that the Lord's return would be soon. I am always amazed, maybe shocked.  I am so happy to see that there has been doors opened where I work to just talk a little testimony in how I believe on this or that.
We do have to be glad that so many people are being saved.  But there are sooo many out there that aren't.  Unfortunately, getting the thought out that they don't have to worry about giving up life and that life is more fruitful in better ways than they could conjure up is the culprit.  Too many slants here and there such as this . But, God is more powerful, and I've been praying for all His power with my home.  My daughter, in one year, slowly has been turned.  This is an evil generation with too many gadgets and recreation to drag people away.
Ya think they would listen if many of us would write the Opinion section in our local papers on this news station remark to let them know there's more christians out there than they care to turn off their station?  It just came to my mind that this is one way we take a stand.  I just thought of this too, " Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?".  :)missy  Thanks  for the report!
Hey, hitch, I can agree, somewhat on a human level, but I have always taken a stand.  But, moreso, God has moved that stand. There are many christians, and I can testify for the last, well, several years, that have truley lived for God's will and have been motivating, and outreaching, not asleep.  I am sure it's not due to laxness in as much as it's suppose to be, and we are to take persecution, and love our enemy.  God will take care of the rest.  I attended a church that was small, but headed by the Tribes Mission Headquarters in Florida. Some of these people had put as much as forty years in the mission field, aware of issues in the governmental realm and active locally and for the nation.  I was truley blessed to be in their presence.  They didn't care, as long as you were saved, were being saved, and knew that there was always hope.  The elderly people walked the neighborhoods to witness and invite people to church. Everywhere I have moved, there has always been an opportunity for the Lord to bring another person into His fold.  We have hope, it's just difficult at times when the world is sooo busy. Thanks for your information, I enjoy reading all aspects.

Hey Tina!  I'm sorry that you are going through this delima. I can relate, and think many do because there is so much noise, as I had written in another place, caused by satan.
It is almost impossible for me to concentrate, keep a balance because of so many diverse struggles I am having also. Matter of fact I am going to have to work a late day with many hours because of my daughter's fallen away condition. It's tough for me because I'm not in physical shape to do so, and dangerous physically.  Yet, manipulating bills is not fun.
There is one thing that I always have to remember, and did the other day, and God brought it to my attention.  It's that when we are weak, He is strong.  If I leave it all up to him, give up the struggle, and just follow His lead after praying, then I can trust He will take care of it.
Satan can affect these people that seem to have destroyed your life.  But, I have found that usually when one thing is over, there is always something better because I trusted that God has his hand in everything. And believe me, my life is in one drama after another because of people in my life.
I think it's time for us all to remember that this is the persecution, the hard times in the end times, and just face the fact that there is a mighty spiritual warfare that only our Father in heaven can handle.  Nothing is logical to us in this realm when we are involved.  We just can't comprehend evil because we are not suppose to fight it.  That's why I don't command the devil away, I pray for God to take care of whatever test there may be; that way I can assure that it is going to be taken care of and I will pass the test.  I know that Jesus is there for us.
God knows your faithfulness with His money He gives you.
Heavenly Father,
I pray that you strengthen Tina to stand still and allow the full power of your Holy Spirt to work through her mightily. I pray for peace for Tina, and I pray that you lead her sucessfully in your name, ultimately perfect provision for your glory for you promised to provide for your children.  Please comfort.  We leave all matters in her life in your hands, and may your glory shine.  We know that Jesus is her Lord, and we know that you hear our prayer and trust whatever you lead in.  In Jesus name we pray, amen.
There is a great organization that even though this is pre-existing, once signed, will help you with contracts(so many a year), write letters for you free, and confer with you over legal matters,(walk you through).  It's only $26.00 a month.  You can take advantage of this.  It's called Pre-Paid Legal, and you can find it at prepaidlegal.com.. It immediately goes into affect, and it really saves people money!
Take care, Love in Christ  Missy  Smiley

34  Fellowship / Testimonies / Re:short version of it :) on: July 12, 2003, 11:50:12 PM
Your testimony seems to show that even without man, God can show somebody the truth about Jesus.  It seems that truley from the heart, like nobody even told you the gospel. God showed you the basic truth to know Jesus to have life!
That is profound!  Thank you for such a deep moment in this meditation.  Good fortune to you in God's blessings. Missy   Smiley

36  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:IS IT JUST ME, OR... on: July 12, 2003, 09:14:17 PM
I'm sorry, I should have chosen better terms.  I was talking about the governments of countries that kill, torture, and persecute christians if they have a bible, or meetings.  I didn't mean the citizens.
The Lord is coming back soon, even some of the Israelites are claiming this.  Prophecy has slowly been fulfilled and all we have to wait for is until- before that generation dies out the Lord is promised to return.  It's been 55 years since 1948 when Israel became a nation.  Back then a generation, I berlieve was forty years.
What I have found by the scripture where the gospel will be preached to the ends of the earth is after the rapture.  I know that many believe it's before the rapture.  No matter which way you look at it, no one knows when the gospel is preached to every person on earth.  But, it is quite easy to look at all this and take into consideration we do need to share the gospel with whomever we are lead to.

38  Welcome / About You! / Re:Intro on: July 12, 2003, 08:43:04 PM
Yep,yep, yep, exaxtly, you can't do anything for your salvation except believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.
It is a gift of God, not that of ourselves.  And if someone gives us a gift, we are not obligated to give it back because a gift is free.
Please look at your reference and see what time period it is from.  Then see if it is spoken to God's chosen people when they were to repent for the kingdom of heaven was preached that it was at hand before salvation was given to a nation bringing forth fruits.  The jews were given a chance to repent and believe that Jesus was their messiah.  The jews were already God's people, they walked away in idolotry....They could repent.  The gentile, and unbelieving jew, during this period of grace can only have fellowship and be of the Lord if we believe.  One cannot repent unless he is of the matter first.
God calls each and every one of us, we may be convicted of our sins, and know we are not worthy and try to make up for the offenses, yet  the only person that is worthy to cover these offenses is Jesus who did die on the cross for these offenses. We first must belive and realize that not one thing we do can save us for initial spiritual salvation but to answer His call and say, I do believe.
God basically is saying here's my gift, do you want it?  And we said, yes I do Father.  Not, say your sorry and I will give you this gift.
To the jews back then when giving them a chance, God was upset that they fell away into various works, remember, they fell away, they did initially live by faith first too, ya know, and they got into works so much that He was saying, You really need to say your sorry and walk away from these idols, and works that many of them I didn't even set forth.
God so loved the world that whosoever believeth on Him...
Repenting is what we do after we are saved.
I hope this clears up what I have learned in God's Word.  It's just a disection to which God tells us to do, and I don't think there is ever too much disecting. But I don't want to upset anybody, or seem like I think I know it all.  All I know is what I have studied, ya know? Smiley
After initial spiritual salvation, we immediately begin our soul salvation, being obedient, with the first act of baptism, and repentance is a life long matter.  Oh is it ever, and it's God's way of getting us ready.
Thank you whitehorse, you made me feel welcome!  I hope I don't offend anybody, and do love to discuss the Word of God, I think we could all use a great big dose of it in these times!  I am open to any searching and sharing. In other words, I probably have the most to grow and learn, but I do love what God has shown me.  Praise Him for His Love given in so many ways that we exactly need. I still don't know what a llama means around here.  I guess it's something of the past in this forum.   Grin

Gonna pray too, Michael.  I know that God will always turn it around for the better for His children that look to His will in the matter.  Ditto on checking out the specifics.  God wants us to be thorough. Never know til you do.

41  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Daughter saved-lost tonight on: July 12, 2003, 03:58:12 AM
Yes, she's okay, whitehorse, but has every issue to deal with that is possible for a teenager in these days.  I wrote once, but I zapped it out somehow.  She has been making some positive decisions, yet she cannot be trusted one lick.  She has issues that are unbelievable for a christian.  Even with the internet! The Lord is always there for us.  I have had a whole day since yesterday---duh, but it seems like so much has been established with direction.  You really helped me focus on what I really had plans for, and pulled some things out of the hat like communication, and believe it or not that really helped.  I know that she knows, that I know she knows, and just knowing that, she has a hey day trying to push my buttons.  But, the computer classes will be the trick for her because she will absorb herself into that at home instead of on the internet chat rooms, etc.  She did get excited to go into a teenage chat room after she saw that I was in this forum.  She asked if she could read some of the topics in this, so I let her, and that encouraged her. Chosen ones of course.  Forever the Lord will be with her, and He has his will.  If I continue to pray, and maybe others, she can turn around quickly because I obey whatever answer the Lord puts in my lap.  I don't work at anything that I haven't prayed about because when I pray, the Lord always sends the answer straight to me.
Watch what happens from here.  I will keep posting the results.  Prayer is needed though for my strength because these late nighters have completely crushed me financially, physically, and I have to work twelve hour shifts next week in order to be caught up. Car starter beginning to go off and on, and much more.  It's okay though.  Not worrying, just waiting and carrying on.  Thanks for your concern! Smiley

Ephesians 3:14.....19
For this cause, I bend my knees to the Father,
from whom the Whole Family in the Heavens and on Earth is named,

that he may give you according to his glorious wealth, to be Powerfully strengthened through his spirit in the inner man:

that the Anointed one, through the faith, may dwell in your hearts: that being rooted in Love and well-established,

you may be fully able to understand with all the saints, what is the Breadth and Length, and Depth and Height,

to know even that which surpasses knowledge--the Love of the Anointed one: so that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now to him who is above all things, being mighty to effect far beyond what we ask or think, according to that power operating in us,

to him be the glory in the congregation, by Christ Jesus, to all the generations fo the age of the ages. Amen.

These verses were a direct answer for me as far as how to rest in the Lord and the true way of functioning of fellowship with the Lord works. Byeee Smiley

My daughter made it home right before I had to go to work. We have yet to talk.  Thank you Whitehorse, but I really don't know which direction I am going at this point.  I still have the urge to move back to warmer states because of physical reasons.  If I begin homeschooling again this year, and move to which all things point towards, that back up the urgent profound knowing to do so that has been building, then I will have to begin schooling where we move.  I really don't want to live here, she doesn't either.  But, you are absolutely right.  I want to enroll her into art and computers this summer, even though it's late.  Those are her interest and I didn't even associate it opening up communications.  I really needed that.  I have very little time, but when I feel that way, I always have to remember how God has placed His will and provisions right in my life when the time they were needed.  I guess I need prayer for many things for her well being.  There are homeschool people here in Wisconsin, And I could get in touch to see what is happening in their realm.
And you know what, I am always enthusiastic in beginning plans, maybe your right also in beginning somehting.  Guess I just need to start somewhere, too scattered right now.  I will think tonight.  And then begin doing tomorrow.  I had to straighten out finances from the last worry session when she left one other time and I missed a day of work.  It takes a lot for a single mom to keep on top of just the smallest things that can devastate you if they become unbalanced.  But praise be to God that he is helping in those areas and many others.  I haven't even been well enough, or had the energy to go to church lately. But I know I will be this week. Thanks for your help. Many blessings to you too.

Will do musicllover.  Been there, worked out good.  Pray also for the Lord to touch whoever's heart is involved in the say so of anything that needs to be determined, the Judges, or worker, or whoever.  I'll pray for this on a regular basis.  Remember, all things are possible in Him.  Smiley  I have to keep reminding myself of that.

Prayed for your mom, will pray all day while at work and at night.  You take care.  Yes, keep us posted.
45  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Daughter saved-lost tonight on: July 10, 2003, 05:30:49 AM
It's 4:20 and my daughter is gone still.  This is the third time she has done this.  I have made a decision, and am just going to step out on faith within two weeks.  I did it when I left a horrible situation for a better life for her.  I moved from the bottom of the states to the top.  She has been home schooled her whole life, and this year I put her into public school in December.  This was overwhelming for her amongst the adjustment to a new place, broken family, and a horrible exposure to gang type social environment.  At first she was popular until there was a jealous cousin of her best friend.  Eventually it was a dominoe affect.  They were pushing her into lockers, kicking her, and she even missed a day successfully proving she had bronchitus, but really her best friend left because of a threat from this other lost friend.  Well, this pushed her to the more accepting, to which she used to witness to and befriend for just that purpose.
My decision- move back.  It came clear as day.  Once this happens, connections are deep, and it's not easy pulling away. Planning to home school with computer, art, and a sport involvement because she needs to slowly adjust to school, all teachers agreed.  Not to mention, two teachers shot her down all the time in front of the class, yet acted professional at school meetings.
I have had a very uncomfortable feeling lately, and I am not happy here.  I am very sad here.  I love the Lord, and I know he's right here with me, yet, it's not even a feeling, it's a knowing that I must do this move because she even begs for some interference in certain ways to say she's fed up.  It's a hard society here for some odd reason.  I can't explain it.  All are Christians, yet they don't even know the gospel.  Very strange, still can't explain.
Car is broken down with the starter out.  I was planning to work over time, check this weekend, but it all goes to bills. I have worked sooooo hard to get on my feet, and then with my daughter, and I thought we had made milestones this week, ah well, one step forward, two back.
Anybody that can pray for God's will, his mighty work for my daughter, and finances, I would be thankful.  She is so broken, and she was always for the good, always positive, and most adults just watched her knowing she had this special excitement in life to her.  I know to trust, and believe, and know the Lord is here, and to ask for comfort, but I am so mournful over her lost way, I am weak in my prayers.
