Dawn, It seems to me that you spend too much time looking for things to complain about and reading literature that doen't edify your spirit. Why don't you take a little more time to prayerfully read God's Word, and instead of you making your own interpretations of God's Word, let Him lead you and guide you. Nothing you can say or do or think is going to change God's Purpose or His Plan. Furthermore, you can't change any other human on earth, or how they think. Judge not (Matt 7:1). Grudge not (James 5:9)

Hi Kriss. Glad to see you. Be very careful with Jehova's Witnesses, they are very sly, and the sad thing is that they know so many verses, that they can quote word for word that will make your head spin, and if you are not careful you might get caught up in their lies, that is exactly what the enemy tries to do just as the Bible mentions, they are like wolves, dressed in sheep's clothing. From what I understand, Jehovah Witnesses, do not believe in the Trinity, they don't even believe that the Holy Spirit is a person. They think the Holy Spirit is nothing but a force, or breath that God uses, they believe that Jesus is the Son of God, because they say that Jesus is the first begotten Son of God. I think they are reffering to the spiritual realm, not the earthly, physical realm. So as far as they are concerned they think that Jesus was just an observer when God created the heaven and earth. They also deny the rapture, they say that Jesus is not comming back for his church again and that the 144,000 are only those that are chosen by God. I once asked a Jehovah Witness how these 144,000 knew they were the elite, she couldn't tell me all she could say is they had revelation knowledege, when I mentioned to her that this revelation knowledge comes from the Holy Spirit living within a born again Christian she was upset and quickly left. They also believe that the only people that are allowed to partake of communion are only the elite, anyone else that partakes of Holy Communion is blaspheming. They also believe that because Peter dreamt that God had told him that all things were made clean and that were good for food; but they do not believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. They say it was just for the ones that were in the upper room on Pentecost. They also believe that it is alright to drink alcholic beverages, as long as you don't get drunk. Their beliefs are mixed, they have beautiful literature, and they know a lot about very little. This is a very deep suject, it is good to familiarize yourself with some of their beliefs, but when you do this do it in the light of God's Word, be viligent, and seek God in prayer asking Him to keep you from falling prey. I am sure that there are a lot of wonderful people who are Jehovah Witnesses, and they have been deceived, they think that they are following GOD's Word. They are sincere, we must always keep in mind the Apostle Paul, he was on of the worst persecutors of Christians. Yet God chose him to do a great work for Him, and because of his zealousness towards GOD, Paul became one of the most beloved apostles. http://www.watchtowerinformationservice.org/

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It really teaches us something. All God's children (born-again) are under constant attack, so if we share nice things like this that strengthen our faith, and help us support one another we can make it through any storm, we have God, prayer, the Word, faith, hope, and each other. Even very mature Christians (and I don't mean old people, a mature Christian can be 26 years old), can learn a lot from not so mature Christians. That's the beauty of it, we as Christians humbly accept advice and share a wealth of information with each other. We may be thousands of miles apart, but in Christ we are 1 for we are His body.

You know it's so amazing how young people have such an innocent sense of humor. Too bad they lose it as they get older. The following are not jokes, just as my previous post was not a joke but true to life. One day my husband and I were driving past the Altell stadium, it 99 degrees. The marquee outside the stadium clearly read 99. My daught then 8 or 9 said so innocently "Wow the Jaguars have won 99 games so far." (by the way it wasn't football season), my other daughter elbowed her and said "That's the temperature, you dummy." Well the younger one didn't say another word until we got about 5 miles past the stadium, and we passed a speed limit sigh, it read '45 mph'. This really flabbergasted my younger one who in her wildest surprise yelled out "OH My! The temperature really dropped fast!!!". Hey maybe we outta get a new forum here and name it 'Kids say the danrdest things' I bet we can all get a good laugh.

AMEN TO THAT DW, too many people are concerned about the little things that really don't make a difference, and they can't change anyway, especially if they are part of God's plan. I am just thankful, I won't be around so I don''t care either.

I just told my 2 teens (girls) the blonds and the chickens joke. First of all I had to tell them the joke 3 times, then I had to break it down for them. AND THEY AREN"T EVEN BLONDS, they are brunettes. One day my daughter was vacuuming her room and the vac bag was so full it exploded, well she yelled to my grand daughter, Laly hurry run and get me a winn-dixie bag (a plastic shopping bag), well my grandaughter ran to the kitchen to get one and was gone about 5 minutes in the meantime, my daughter kept yelling HURRY. Lally came back and asked her mom "where are they again?" Well my daughter told her and after another 5 minutes, my daughter came back empty handed and announced to her mom "Mom we don't have any winn-dixie bags, we have Publix, Walmart, Albertson's, but no winn-dixie bags." That's another brunette.

Hi Judgenot, . I have a beautiful poem that I found on the internet somewhere (can't remember) It is called Psalm 23 Interpretation. I don't know if it is copywrited of not, If is is I ask the person or person who wrote it to advise me so that they will get the proper credit. So with that being said I am going to just type in the poem I don't have the url for it or anything. The Lord is my shepherd...That's relationship I shall not want... That's supply He maketh me lie down in green pastures...That's rest He leads me beside still waters...That's refreshment He restores my soul...That's healing He leads me in the paths of righteousness.. That's guidance For His Namesake...That's purpose Yea tho I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death...That's testing I will fear no evil...That's protection For Thou art with me...That's faithfullness Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me...That's discipline Thou preparest a table for me in the face of mine enemies...That's Hope Thou anointest my head with oil...That's consecration My cup runneth over...That's abundance Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...That's blessing I will dwell in the house of the Lord...That's security Forever...That's eternity. My thanks to the person or persons who wrote this poem, at the time I didn't think to email them or anything, I just used this whenever I needed to really look INTO God's Word, they had to be truely inspired, may God bless them richly. This poem has been a blessing to me it breaks everything down so well, and not only that but now I study each line and word carefully when I read the Word.

Pastor Roger, doctors don't have the final say. GOD has the final say. I am praying for a supernatural healing to take place right now and that the blood clot near her heart will disolve. The 2 in her legs may be operable or even treated with heparin, but GOD is not a half way GOD he is the Almighty. He can restore her to full health, nothing missing, nothing broken. She should confess the Word, and not lose the faith. She should feed her spirit with healing scriptures. I will do my part and pray for her and her boys. If you would like I can look for healing scriptures, and post them.

Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Stop Smoking Prayer
|

Hi Lisa, GOD bless you, for your attempts to quit smoking. I used to be a smoker, and no matter what the doctors told me (always bad news) I still smoked. Then I realized that I was not just hurting myself, financially & physically, but more important than that I was being a hipocrite, I knew I was hurting the temple of the Holy Spirit. I realized that if I was going to let a man made habit get in my way now, what would happen if the rapture came and I was left behind due to my lack of self control? Would I be able to reisist getting the mark of the beast for a cigarette? Remember the Holy Spirit will not be operating through Christians after the rapture, I thought I I can't do it while the Holy Spirit is still operating here on earth why would I think i would be able to do it when He wasn't? I would be prone to a lot of evil, probably stealing cigarettes, lying, denying Christ, all these thought just invaded my mind. Later on I realized that the only way to win a battle is to go right to the enemy and fight him, in this case I was my own enemy, I kept on making excuses for myself to keep smoking. I had to be real tough with myself. I might sound like I am being real tough with you now, but it's only because I know that every born again Christian has the ability to stop doing anything that is harmful to the body, soul or spirit. It does not matter what the addiction is, it may be smoking, drugs, porn, lying, stealing, covetousness, gambling, flirtatiousness (is that a word?), anyway you know what I mean, overeating anything at all that hinders your walk with GOD. You must make a commitment and JUST DO IT. Nothing worked for me before I made a very serious commitment to GOD that I was going to quit. Slowing down, or weaning didn't help, patches didn't help, gum didn't help candy didn't help, doctor prescriptions didn't help, lack of money didn't help, (I would borrow money), nothing worked. Finally I was so disgusted with myself that I stood right in the mirror and lookd at myself and really gave myself a very harsh scolding. I said, "How would you feel if GOD was so undecisive about redeeming you, or how would you like it if He thought you were not worth the shed blood of His Son because you still smoke,or How do you think Jesus feels everytime you light up a cigarette?" I mean I was really hard on myself. Well to be honest it worked. everytime I felt like smoking a cigarette I thought about these things, I would remove myself from the enviornmet I was in that made me want a cigarette at that particular moment, I would read the Bible, pray, and once I was done doing that I would call my husband at work and tell him I was craving a cigarette, he would talk to me and undoubtedly pray for me as well but I would do this until I QUIT... I am not lying to you I even went to my pastor and confessed to him I was having a problem with cigarette smoking and believe me it wasn't easy, as a matter of fact it was downright humitliating and embarassing, but when I think about it it was much more worth it and what a joy it was to call him and tell him I had quit. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! I'm praying for you. We all are, now you do the right thing, remeber GOD will not force you to do something you won't want to really do. So JUST DO IT \0/.
