1  Entertainment / Poetry/Prose / TO SHOUT! on: September 10, 2005, 05:22:00 AM

Worldly desires, put me in a daze
God's true glory, locked in my minds maze
I stumble in the darkness of this life all alone
Some times wonder, why I'm so far from home
If I lived true to what I hold deep inside
I'd give God the glory, on this long labored ride
I'd be living for telling the world my story
I'd be living for giving Jesus the glory
tell about the day, Christ made me new
but I've shared my story with so few
And now I long to reach out
And I desire to shout- TO SHOUT!
Touch just my small part of this world
Let my faith like a flag be unfurled
And to Jesus sing praise
And to Jesus sing praise

2  Fellowship / Testimonies / Re:Poetry brings deliverance on: September 02, 2005, 01:52:37 AM
You know it's kind of funny. I spent agood many years battleing deppression and through that whole time the one positive I had was the desire and ability to write, poetry, short stories, I even started a few novels. I no longer deal with the depression to any serious depth, and gone with it is the writing. every once in a while something comes to mind and I'll jot it down, but it used to be consuming. Wouldn't trade to get it back again. thank God for where he has at least temporarily settled me
3  Entertainment / Poetry/Prose / slow train on: September 01, 2005, 06:18:26 AM
Slow Train
I had a vision. I saw sorrow and pain.
Satan coming, on a slow moving train.
Temptation surrounds us in stereo sound.
Could it be that we're all hellbound?
Who's going to lead us away from sin?
When the preachers are all buying in.
Hell's fire- reaching Vatican city,
Rome will never be the same.
Bishop plays a lowly pawn,
in the King's great game.
Look around, smoke is rising
all across this town.
No one racing, for glory's crown.
Smoke billows up an acrid smell,
all are running toward the gates of hell.
Slow train is picking up speed.
Death comes riding on his pale steed.
Drop to my knees, Lord I pray,
that all turn toward the grace we need.
Slow train is picking up speed.

4  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:'Height of Idiocy' for Court to Declare Atheism a Religion on: September 01, 2005, 05:44:33 AM
Ther is a reality in the fact atheism is a religion. I would argue that you see far more athiest evangelists then you do Christian and they are very good at argueing their lost cause. atheism is a religion as much as meism is . So do your part and evangelize when you hear them

6  Theology / General Theology / Re:What is wrong with cloning? on: September 01, 2005, 05:08:42 AM
The reality to the old age thing is they want to use embryonic cells first, so the old age thing wouldn't be there, because an aborted fetus doesn't have a chance to grow old. Maybe they can just take the murdered soul and use it. still ain't right
7  Theology / General Theology / Re:Stand up on: September 01, 2005, 04:57:09 AM
I hear that there is a majority in America that claim to be Christian. I would probably argue that point, the majority most likely believe in God but practicing Christians, no.but even with that why must we sit by and watch a few impose their lack of morals and basic fundamental humanity on the masses while we are singled out as the villians. Don't let the Lord be villified make your faith known that others also might step foreward. Let God be glorified. Proclaim his glory, before it's to late
God bless everyone here and elsewhere

Rev. 3:14-16, To the angel of the church in Laodicea write; these are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold, nor hot. I wish that you were either one or the other! So, because you are neither lukewarm- neither hot, nor cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (NIV)
I’ve heard this church compared to the church in America. I wish I could agree, for though Christ didn’t have good things to say about them, they were more alive than we are. We are not lukewarm church, we are ice cold and the ice is starting to thicken. STAND UP CHURCH!
The United States is probably the last free bastion of Christianity left in the world, and it is under a constant attack from a secular minority.
Separation of church and state, has been taken so far out of context from what the founding Fathers intended, that God is rapidly being removed from this country by a few who scream like toddlers and throw temper tantrums till we silently submit.
The Ten Commandments removed from every public place, why not if we can see them, we have no choice but admit our need of a savior. Same sex marriage, abortion and so much more, God’s authority is under constant attack from a barrage of decadence, and we do NOTHING!
STAND UP CHURCH! Or just roll over and die quietly, the choice is yours.
In this day and age of doing what feels good, calling anyone to accountability is lost. The name of Jesus, I guess should be shoved in a drawer or the back of a closet at home and forgotten about. After all what Christ taught, what God says is not politically correct. SSHHH, don’t let the word of the Lord be heard, SSSHH, don’t let people know they are going to go to hell without him, don’t share crazy, outdated ideas. Are you some kind of freak? We wouldn’t want people to suffer from something like moral purity, God forbid.
The choice is yours church, stand up, make your opinions, beliefs public or we will simply be cast asunder by the outspoken few. We must stand strong and be heard, or simply roll over and die for lack of commitment. I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to stand silently by while the God of all creation is evicted from my country.
Christ came to this world to save us, to set us right in our sin with God and to remain silent while he is cast out of our society, is WRONG! I find it incredible to fathom, Christ paid for our sins, cast out demons, healed lepers, gave the blind their eyes, the deaf their ears and made cripples walk. And now sadly, the body of Christ, his own church; is crippled.
STAND UP CHURCH! Let your sins be forgiven. Cry out, let the words of grace, the words of life be heard.
I WANT TO SEE JESUS!

10  Theology / Apologetics / Re:The Crystal Cathedral on: August 20, 2005, 08:52:24 PM
Evolution? How can one not believe in evolution. God gave us free will man sinned was enveloped in sin. Man evolved and fell away from the grace of God. Therefore requiring a savior which came to us in Jesus Christ. Evolving into believers seems to be more difficult a proposition, but through faith we shall overcome. Believe and be made new
11  Theology / Apologetics / The Word on: August 20, 2005, 08:40:25 PM
Okay I must admit I read through some of this six pack guys stuff and I was hoping to reply again but I'm a little ignorant about this thing. So here gos I read his stuff and although he misinterperites the Bible, I believe he is truly seeking. He claims to not understand the Trinity, but quotes scripture to back it up as an arguement against. So sixpack simply needs to set aside the errant muslim teaching he has aquired, say a prayer, accept Jesus as savior and all will be made clear.
Keep searching and find the way
12  Theology / Apologetics / Re:Is Jesus God? - Part Two on: August 06, 2005, 12:26:27 AM
I've just got to say I ran across a website that was pretty much the exact same arguements that are presented here. It was based primarily on twisting scripture to the point that it was unrecognizable.Jesus did claim to be God and he did back up his claim with much proof. However if we look at it logicly,he couldn't have the entire population at the time running around proclaiming him to be God ,because he had a job to do.Had the Jewish leaders of the time believed him God there is no way he would have been crucified, no way he could have fullfiled the scriptures,no way he could have been God. But since he was crucified , was resurected, then he sent out the disciples to proclaim the truth, before being taken back to heaven to reclaim his throne. It all makes perfect sense when you look at it reasonably
