MIRACLE of MEDIATION

by Robert E. Hanna

Marvelous, glorious work of His grace!
When He came to this earth from His heavenly place,
He sought out His own, their souls to save
By suffering, by conquering both hell and the grave.

What a redeemer! He came down from His throne
To cleanse and forgive, reconcile and atone.
How great was His mercy, His love and compassion,
To offer His own precious blood in this fashion!

Though after His image we were created,
Unrighteousness reigns in our hearts unabated
Until by His wonderful, infinite grace
We believe and accept, and shall look on His face.

What think ye of Christ? Have you given to Him
Your life to possess and your struggles to win?
Do you know what awaits you beyond the grave?
"BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST", and be saved!

I am sorry to hear your sick Brother, can I help in anyway?
I will be praying for you and your family.

Brother Love,

Thank you sincerely for your prayers. Prayer is always the best medicine. I'm optimistic that the results of the last visit to the doctor are going to be positive. I am beginning to feel some better and stronger. I like my doctor, but I firmly believe they are only tools that God uses. My doctor feels the same way I do, so I'm in good hands, GOD'S.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Amen Brother

A little girl became restless as the preacher's sermon dragged on and on.

Finally, she leaned over to her mother and hispered, "Mommy, if we give him the money now, will he let us go?"

Moe: "My wife got me to believe in the religion."

Joe: "Really?"

Moe: "Yeah. Until I married her I didn't believe in hell."

That I May Know Him

by Charles Wages

The most important person in all the universe to know is the Lord Jesus Christ!

We, as human beings, like to know important persons. We like to obtain their autographs, watch them perform, and to say, "I know that person. " We are impressed and often time overwhelmed by the presence and person of an individual.

Shouldn't we desire to personally know the God of glory? The One who created this planet, earth? Shouldn't we desire to know the One who loves us more than anyone else? The One who loved us enough to die for us? This person is the Lord Jesus - the God who came down from glory to save us from our sin and give us a new life. Yes, we all need to know Him as our personal Saviour and Lord. The Apostle Paul said:

"For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. " 2 Timothy 1:12

We like to let others know that we know important persons. When this is done just for a show it is called "name-dropping. " But, oh, how we need to know Him and to make Him known to a
lost and perishing world. What the whole world needs is love. Who the whole world needs to know is the Lord Jesus Christ!

We can make Him known by worshipping Him, following Him, obeying Him, and living daily for Him. A real Christian should know a whole lot about the Lord and His Word, the Bible. In this manner, we can make Him known to others. The scriptures say in Colossians 4:6 and Ephesians 6:19: "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." "And (pray) for me, that utterance maybe given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel. "

How wonderful to know Him and make Him known!

THE BATTLE

by Janet Rose Martin

In my darkest hour
When everything's at its worst
That's when I must remember
To always put God first.

So I call upon my Father
So that I am not alone
For I cannot fight the enemy
In any way on my own.

The battle is not mine to fight
So I call upon my Defender
Knowing He is on my side
I can let myself surrender.

Satan is no match for Christ
He will surely be defeated
And Christ will be the victor
When the battle is,completed.

For now, the battle's over
And the Lord has won the fight
Allowing me to carry on
Through His courage and His might.

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe;
You that are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?

Faith and Hope

Faith and hope came into being through sin. Unfallen man knew nothing of faith, nor did he know of hope. Faith and hope were born after the Lord gave to fallen man the first promise, the first announcement of redemption (Genesis 3:15). Then Adam and Eve believed and hoped for that which the Lord had promised. And ever since, when man accepts what God has spoken, the exercise of faith and hope has followed. But those who do not accept God’s Word know no faith and have no hope. What dying Jacob said, “I have waited for thy salvation” (Gen. 49:18), has been the faith and hope of all Jewish believers in the Old Testament. They believed in a coming One, they hoped for life and glory.

Beautifully it was expressed by that Old Testament saint to whom the Holy Spirit had given the assuring revelation that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. When Simeon held the Child in his arms, his faith and hope were realized. He blessed God, not the Child, for he knew that Babe he held in his arms was the Blesser and needed no blessing from him; then he said, “Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word; for mine eyes have seen Thy salvation” (Luke 2:25-30).

And we also who have accepted the Word of God and believed on Him Who came, live now by faith and look forward in hope, for we are saved in hope and wait for the hope of righteousness, the blessed consummation glory, which will come when He comes again. Some day our faith will terminate in sight; we shall see Him as He is. In that day our hope will end for we shall possess all we hoped for. Unbelief knows no faith and has no hope. For all who do not believe, who refuse to accept God’s revelation, there comes the day when faith is impossible, and over the portals of the place of outer darkness is written “Leave hope behind.” What a delusion it is when men teach today that the sinner who lived on in sin, who refused God, who died without faith in Christ and without hope, will have another chance, or that there is such a thing as universal salvation. Now is the accepted time, and only now.

Christ commanded his followers to share the Gospel with those who are perishing... who have you shared with today?

Letter from an Unsaved Friend

My friend, I stand in judgment now,
and feel that you’re to blame somehow.
On earth I walked with you by day,
and never did you show the way.

You knew the Savior in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim.
You could have led me safe to Him.

Though we lived together, here on earth,
you never told me of the second birth.
And now I stand before eternal hell,
because of heaven’s glory you did not tell!

Brother Love,

Brother, health has been an issue for me. I love this portion of the Bible so much that I don't want to make a mistake. I've really been waiting for a time that I feel strong enough to do it right and not post something that is confusing or in error. I do want to finish this study, and I'm going to ask God to give me the strength and help to do it.

My doctor has just changed my medicine again, and I'm praying that I will be able to do more soon.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Revelation 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

P.S. I also love thinking about this Scripture. JESUS will be coming for us soon.

I am sorry to hear your sick Brother, can I help in anyway?
I will be praying for you and your family.
45  Entertainment / Music / In everything, sing praise to God !!! on: December 19, 2004, 09:33:27 AM
In everything, sing praise to God !!!

God deserves all our praise! God loves the songs we sing and the praises we give to Him through worship. Songs of praise are powerful. They not only please God, but they heal and deliver those who sing the words and listen with an open heart.

Colossians 3:16 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

The Bible is full of scripture that instructs us to sing praises to God. God wants us to praise Him in good times and in bad. We are to sing to Him from our mountaintops and from our valleys. Anywhere we are, God is there too. God is always listening to the songs in our heart and to the songs we sing out loud.

Psalm 89:1 – I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

Ephesians 5:19,20 – Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 47:6,7 – Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.

In all things, God is our source of strength. No matter where we are, or what kind of trouble we are in, our songs of praise rise above it all. In Acts Chapter 16, Paul and Silas were stripped, beaten, flogged and thrown into prison for teaching the good news of Jesus Christ. Once in the prison, they were placed in the inner cell with their feet in stocks. At first, their situation may have appeared hopeless. But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing to God. All the prisoners around them were listening – and so was God ! Then suddenly there was an earthquake that shook the prison, opened all the cell doors and loosened all the chains and stocks. Many were saved that night, including a prison guard. Paul and Silas were freed by God and once again on their way to tell everyone they could about Jesus Christ.

This was an awesome miracle from God. God heard the prayers and songs of Paul and Silas, and they were delivered from their valley because of their faithfulness.

Psalm 59:16,17 - I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

God is always listening...What does He hear from you? Put songs of praise in your heart and mind. Everywhere you go, be a song for the Glory of God.
