1  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Need Prayer for Business on: October 02, 2005, 10:59:09 AM
Good Morning,

This is a beautiful Sunday morning. I hope everyone is able
to give God the glory and honor, by going to church. If not
have it in your heart and at home. Share the gospel with
someone on the street today.
Now, my prayer request, is , that I become fruitful in the
new business that I have started. I know it takes time and
perserverance...but it also takes finance, tools, organization
and people working with me to make it happen. I ask God for
guidance. My Executive Director and RVP are not happy
with my production.
I have many things to contend with at home.
I am the only one working, I pay the bills. I buy the food
mostly all of the time. I keep the close clean and the house.
I give so freely to church plus pay my tithes, I give to Kitrina and the Rita victims.
I wonder where my time comes in. It is crazy; Jesus said,
come ye apart awhile and rest. If I don't I will experience
burn-out. My dh does not need that. I had a terrible problem with my right foot and could not walk far. Just having shoes
on was painful. Now, it has almost gone away and I am
back to running around like crazy again. So, please pray for
me. I start things, and get bord and try something else without finishing the first thing. I don't know what I'm
trying to figure out. Do you know what I mean..anyone out there?
Take care, and have a blessed day in Jesus. Smiley

5  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:Modest Clothing on: July 19, 2005, 11:02:34 PM
Okay Ladies,

Here's the real deal. God does not want us to be uncomfortable, neither does he want us to be a stumbling
block to our brother, or sisters.
Yes, sisters. We must be mindful that we are saved by grace
through faith, and not of ourselves. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. He dwells in a clean temple inside and out.
God created woman for man. Created He them. Women are a good thing for men to see. Lets be pleasing in sight, in smell, in most of all ATTITUDES!!! Cheesy
We are to be kind and gentle, set firm and direct. Modesty
covers more than clothes, sorry for going further than the question.
I feel that women are to dress with a clear conscious. She should know how far to go, by the Holy Spirits internal radar
he give us. It's called intuition. There's an office dress code,
a hospital worker dress code, police dress code. Why not the children of God?
I personally, cover myself arms and chest up to my knees.
I only wear pants to work-out, or do bending housework, or
riding my bike. That sounds pretty reasonable.  I would not
get on the bike with a cut out, strapless, see through jersey
or tight pants.  That's what temps brothers. The reason I said, sisters is because some people don't say or talk about it
in the church but they have had problems that they came out of and fear being tempted into a life style they don't want any parts of.
So, I say be modest in all things from the head to the feet. Cheesy

Cris,

I didn't see or hear about the story on CNN. However, I would like to as if preminitions are the same.
Do you know God can use anyone to get a message acorss.

Haven't you ever experienced something that was going to happen and you never shared it, but waited to see the outcome.

I think that is a true way. When you say Psychic...that makes

me scratch my head.
7  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Bible Research Study on Dealing with Depression on: June 01, 2005, 07:39:16 PM
M & Rookie,

I must not have given the right statement. I'm not discussing

personal issues. I strickly was asking about scripture cases,

if any. Like a story, or people.  What was their outcome or

what solutions did God give them.

Thanks Rookie for being so open, but you did not have to

share that.  However,  it does give me someone to pray for

think about at lunch time.  Let's pray for one another.

I will do some searching to see.  I have a hard time reading

anything now.  My mind works constantly for 8hrs straight of

reading on my job.  So, I like not to read when I get home.

This could be God's way of trying to help me seek him more.

8  Welcome / About You! / Re:New Here on: May 30, 2005, 10:40:09 AM
Dear Tim,

When I think of the suffering that is in this life. It makes me
wonder why Jesus cared so much to die for people who did
not deserve it. People fight each other, hate each other, trick each other, etc, etc. That is not the way of righteousness.
God said, "Be Holy for I am Holy".
Have they no understanding of the concept?
I myself am happy to have a right relationship, point a personal relationship with God.  If it had not been for Him, last Tuesday I think I would have been in the hospital for
awhile.  He did not let that happen to me.
Thank for your remarks.

So beautiful,

I will come back and read this over and over again.

I can see life experience you have had through this poem.

Patience is one, learning to lean on God is another.

Understanding that hard things don't last, because God

washes them away.

Thank you
11  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:A Priceless Word Picture on: May 28, 2005, 02:59:21 PM
The statement that caught my attention the most in this devotional was that Jesus died, not doing anything wrong to deserve it, he made a choice to do it for us.We, who where suppose to die for our own sins, but He decided to lay down his life.

I have never been able to truely understand why He wanted to do that. The Passion of Christ fim, showing how he hung there in pain and hour after hour after hour. Critizied, spat on, made fun of, rediculed whipped 'til flesh was ripping off his back...OOOOOOOOOOHHHHhhhhh, what love. That's love.
Love we don't even show to one another. We say we love God, but your brother and sister you see everyday do you love them.  Jesus got the message out. Did we catch on to what He was truely saying.

Do you love me, can you love me...then feed my people.
White, Black, Japanese, Chinese, Cuban, Mexican, French, Russian, Deutsche, Swiz, Irish, Scotish, Vietanamese, Spanish, Armeanian, Assyrian, Jew, Arab..uhoh yes! Arab, Jesus died that we ALL might have life and that more abundantly. No, all souls will not go to heaven, but not one jot, or tittle of His word will go unheard. He said it, and will perform it. It's in His word, His word stands solid.

Hi,

I would like to know, has anyone done an indepth study on dealing with depression from God's word?

If so, I would like to read what God has given to you through your studies. Has it made a difference in your life. Do you know where to go in scriptures if you should have down time
in your spirit.

Looking forward,

13  Welcome / About You! / Re:New Here on: May 28, 2005, 02:32:38 PM
Dear Grandmother,

I really thank you and love you for responding to me. I lost my Mom five yrs ago, I lost my Dad just this Feburary. I don't
have any children and my grandmothers on both sides are gone.  I would love to have the honor of calling grandma when I right to you. It makes me feel much closer.
Now, according the the statement you make about what you feel the Lord wants us to do is very true and our duty to do. The only I don't understand is how do you tell such a different culture that Jesus is more than a man, or prophet.
The Koran teach that Jesus was a prophet, not King, or Priest.
We know, He Is...Prophet, Priest & King.  They will not accept that. They say, there is no god, but Alla.  Alla, in Arabic means God. We believe in the one and only true God, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.  Now, since we believe in the God of the Jews, and they claim Abraham as their Father also, who started all the confusion.  Why use the Koran when we have the Laws of Moses the Prophets, History,
etc, etc.  Somewhere along the line, the devil got in and started a religion I believe when the languages were confused during the tower of babylon was being built by Nebechunezzar. Hope I spelled  that right.
We need to pray, because there is growing apathy against, Christians, Americans all over the world.  Traveling, is not as
comfortable.  Showing someone to Christ does not mean you take their culture away from them.
We say, save them Lord, help them to get to know you as their personal savior. He can and he will do it.
God want some to plant, others to water and let God give the increase.  I believe, if we do things like the Bible says, follow Jesus formula thing will go right.  Our natural man cannot see what God is doing right now in the hearts and minds of these people.  They are thinking, and wondering just like us.
Mothers don't know where her next meal is coming from. Her son was shot down by Alkida operatives, or an American solider doesn't know why he can't come home after serving for 13 months in Iraq.  It a hard thing to deal with and solve.
However, God is yet on the throne and He reigns supreme for ever and ever.  This is only a test. For all Christians, for Americans, for Jews, for Russians, for France, Italy, Mexico,
Cuba, etc.  The whole world is groaning. Looking and hoping for a solution to social and spiritual ills and woes.
Grandma, I will trust God and pray for the families and troops with you, I want to see all the damage we have done to these innocent women and children to cease. The restructuring of their infratructure should be on the top of the list and self- governing.  In other words,  let democracy
happen, but also allow the people to have a choice like Jesus
does.  They can learn and serve him, or they can refuse and reject Him, then they will be rejected by Him.
I hope I made some sense of all this.
We do need you prayers and relish in the joy of knowing someone is praying besides me. I use to hear my mom pray everyday...sometimes three times and reading the Word of God out loud.  That's one reason why I can know the Word of God when I hear it. If it is misquoted I will in my mind respond so quickly, because of the home training I recieved from her, which I am thankful for.

Granny, I will stay in touch.  The is a great site to click on.
Blackeyepeas started it. Look under Bible studies about Spurgeon Devotions. It's awsome to read any time of the day.

Love in Christ,
Inspiration

P.S. Thank you for changing my Lack to Inspiration...I cought your driff.  Grin

Dear Grandma,

It was so sweet of you to reply to me. I was very happy to recieve your letter of comfort. God is doing something right
now. I have been hoping and praying that God would send someone to encourage my husband to get out the house and be active. Well, after what happened to me at work, I think it shuke him up a little. His youngest sister has been calling to talk to him, she told me she was concerned about him.  I was
glad to hear that. We've been married 27yrs and his relatives have never had a good meal, or holiday with us.  We had to always travel to them.  Now, that he is getting close to leaving, they want to get close. I hope it's for encouragement for him, not to be snoopying in our financial business.  That happens. She gave him her cell number but not me.  I don't trust her completely.  He is on medication and she is trying to get him to take herbs instead.  I want him to do whatever he wants to do. It is his life, if he don't trust the
doctors. Then, why take the medicine. He is diabetic and has
high blood pressure. Pray that God will give healing to his body
and spirit.  He pirked up and went outside since his sister has been coming by.

thank you grandma,

Hello to all,

I must say I have has a real frightening situation on my job

yesterday.  I was getting ready to do my work and I got some

water to take my medicine.  So, I took my meds and just after

taking them I suddenly got dizzy sitting down at my desk.  I t

thought it was my breathing, or something else.  It would not

go away and I could not function.  Our computer main frame

was acting up so we had to shut down and take a break. I

asked my supv. if I could be excused and go upstairs to the

doctor to find out what's going on.  She was thinking that I

was possible, but not sure, was having a stroke.  I was hoping not.  My pressure was okay to her.  She would not let

me go back to work.  She wanted an ambulance to come and

get me.  I told her no.  I was charged the last time. I had to

a paper saying that I did not want to go in an ambulance.

To make a long story short.  I'm at home now after being in ER

for so long. I had minor surgery in the evening same day at

the dermatology office. Now, I'm at home and have to go back tommorrow.  Please remember me in your prayers.

Thanks to all,
