Theology / Debate / Re: Time

If God is outside of time, then to God, everything is 'now' and there is no such thing as 'then'. My dead Grandparents, Moses, and I will all approach the Throne at the same instant, immediately following each of our respective deaths. This elliminates the conceptual need for a 'holding tank' for those who die before the end of 'time'. The Lord is "God of the living". No one is dead to Him. "...to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Chirst, who died for us so that, alive or dead, we should still live united in Him." - 1 Thess. 5:10 Paul says elsewhere that all at once, all together, no man or woman or child alone, we will meet our Savior. He calls this great meeting a far better thing than to simply fly away, one at a time, to the Lord. What an explosion of joy! What a cacophony of glory! To come, not to meet the ancients who have been with the Lord for millenia already, but to join them and walk beside them as, all at once, "the Lord showers righteousness upon them". The whole creation waits to see the saints revealed - alongside one another, as the perfected family of God, the Bride of the Lord. My dad has said over and over how he wished he could have held his father's hand, and walked into Heaven together, rather than let that man cross over without him. I hope that he will have this wish, and me too; whether it is true that the "dead" are waiting on the "living" to enter glory together, or whether it is true that there is no Time (and no waiting) at all in the presence of God.

Philippians 3:17 "Agree together, my friends, to follow my example." [New English Bible]
In Genesis, Lord God said, "Let US make Man in OUR image." God, the Great Conspirator, hatched a plot to make a Man, and then "in the image of God created He them." Then God said, "It is not good for Man to be alone." Man required a suitable helper, to worship with, to work with, to scheme with and, of course, with whom to take over the world. In Eve (Hebrew Havva) the Man found a "deep that re-echoes unto deep;" flesh of his flesh, bone of his bone. What wonderful conspiracies they must have been capable of! What an awesome, joyful conspiracy the first man-child would have been - a plot made in secret, concealed for months; then, suddenly, the secret is exposed, and Adam and Eve gladly plead "guilty" to all conspiracy charges brought against them. Of course the Man and Havva would conspire together; they were conspiracies, fearfully and wonderfully plotted, woven together by the Father of Truth and Good Secrets. Man was given the gift of conspiracy from the Conspirator; he has the ability to formulate and discuss plans of action with other creatures like himself, and then they, together, have the ability at least to try to carry out their plans. Like so many of the Father's gifts, conspiracy can be twisted and polluted until it doesn't look like itself anymore. Angelic hosts conspired together to rebel against Heaven; Ananias and Saphira conspired together to deceive the Holy Spirit over a sum of money. Judas and the priests conspired together to betray the Lord. But Paul is fond of telling people (as evidenced by Ephesians and other letters) to "do just the opposite" of wrong. Instead of being bitter, be forgiving. Instead of being full of strong drink, be full of the Spirit. Be tender-hearted rather than spiteful; instead of ignorance, choose understanding. We should not angry, deceptive, or rebelious conspirators; our conspiracies should be for the sake of goodness, unity and truth. Over and over again Paul pleads with his spiritual children to "be of one mind"; to be "like-minded", or "single-minded"; to encourage one another, and to agree with one another, to do what is good. Don't neglect fellowshipping with one another, and be always conspiring with each other towards doing good, little ones. [JUPV* translation] [*Joy's Unauthorized Paraphased Version] Some good deeds happen right out in the open; but some are concealed for a little while. (1 Tim. 5:25) They happen in secret. Not all secrets are bad; God says that when that Day comes in which all secrets are exposed, some of them will be good, faithful secrets, and will be judged accordingly. Are we involved in daily conspiracy? What does our conspiracy look like? When the secret ripens and is harvested, will it bear the Spirit's fruit? Are we conspiring with one another to do that which is good? Do we reason together and encourage each other toward kindness and truth? Do our conspiracies promote unity, or schisms? Have a merry plot with a brother or sister to do the will of the Lord.
-Joy

Lucifer in the Hebrew language is hêylêl (hay-lale') and it means "morning star". He definitely is not and never has been the light of God.
So "Lucifer" wasn't his good name, from before he fell?

In "Keeping the Sabbath Wholly" by Marva J. Dawn (a book which I have read but do not own, and therefore can't quote precisely ), the author states that we are not merely to "go to church"; we are to "go and be church" to the world. In "The Musician's Quest" by George MacDonald (a book which I have read and owned and then given away, and therefore can't quote precisely ), Robert Falconer discovers the One Church across the ages and nations, and since he is a member of this One Great Church he is not content to belong to any single building or parish.

how could you not like a book called The Fall of Lucifer?
I can't figure out why "Lucifer" doesn't end with an "el" like the other angelic names. If "luce" is "light", couldn't he have been called Luciel, "Light of God?"

Revelation 2:17 "To him who overcomes I will give the manna..."
The hidden manna - not only angelic bread. No, not bread, however sweet. He who overcomes, to him will be given the right to take communion with the angels of God; he will break bread with the cherubim and seraphim. To him it will be given to join the feast at Michael's table, with Gabriel and all of the warrior hosts of the Lord. He will not merely eat; he will join the Thanksgiving Rest of all the bright and wonderful beings of Christ's highest heavens.
"There is the throne of David; and there, from care released, the song of them that triumph, the shout of them that feast. And they, who with their leader, have conquered in the fight, forever and forever are clad in robes of white."

Genesis 3:17-23; Revelation 3:10-12
Once there was a beautiful Man who walked with God in a garden tabernacle, illuminated by the light of his Father's face; but when the hour of testing came, the Man fell, and a dragon stole his crown. Then the Man was sent from the orchard, and instead of the heavenly light of his Father, he wore coarse clothes to protect him from the wilderness. Then God said, "One day Man will be beautiful anew; I will give him My Name which will be his strength, and when he is tested, he will overcome that thieving dragon. Then I will walk again with Man in My garden, in the cool of the New Morning, and he will be a pillar of light in My temple, and never again will I drive him away."

Our neighbor likes peanut-butter coffee. I have never tasted it, but she makes it sound delicious. Milk, sugar, coffee, and peanut butter, I think. (I tried to make some the other day. The blender wasn't screwed in tight enough and coffee leaked all over the counter. BUT it wasn't my counter, it was the counter of the person I'm house-sitting for, AND her mail was sitting on the counter.)
