Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Rapture

First Bronzesnake what I was trying to say i know it may have been confusing but my point was that the Holy Spirit will go up with the believers and then it will be the Holy Spirit that comes back down not the believers.(yet)
Big D...you addressed none of my points like what about the wrath of God aka tribuliation and us be excempted and what about the imminence of the Lord's Return, mid-trib isnt possible because you dont have this imminence because you know when he's comes becuase the Tribulation will begin, and what about the Church not being mentioned in the Tribulation at all in Rev. 4-19. As well as Rev 3:10. Joel 2:29-30 are not signs of the tribulation its talking about us recieving the Holy Spirit. How do you know for sure that the "in the last days" that Peter talks about isnt the last days of Jesus on this Earth. Along with and its not Isreal that must go through it its every nonbeliever after the Rapture occurs.

Theology / Apologetics / Re:Mormon

I think that is the best way to look at it. Honestly look at the faith objectively and then see if in yourself you feel the holy spirit in that church. Then you will have an unbiased opinion of them. It's easy for people from other denominations to pick apart faiths and practices different from there own, but is that what the scriptures want us to do? We are all christians bound together in brotherhood, without the labels of Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Mennanite, Quaker, and others.
I agree with some parts but not the first part and the last sry but if you knew the beliefs of Mormons you know that they arent Christians. First they dont believe in the Trinity (as three in one) and believe they are three of the many of their gods. Other gods are human beings who have, through works and time, become divine. Sry if this offendes you i just though you should know.

Haha i want to point out blackeyepeas that he was the first to talk.
So BigD what about Romans 5:9 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10; 5:9
It promises us(Christians) will be saved from the coming wrath and God will not let us endure it. Also I questioned the thing about the Holy Spirt being down here as well so he cant be the Restrainer as well a while back but one big thing that contradicts with this though is the Holy Spirit is omnipresent so therefore doesnt that mean he can be holding back the antichrist and be in believers? Also the imminence of the Lord's return contradicts that point because if it was post we know that we wait after 7 years then he come or we know that if its in the middle then we know that he will be coming pretty soon after the treaty. And just because there are Christians during the Tribulation doesnt mean that the God didnt take the believers up and then come back down. Remeber time is realtive to God that means that even though it seems to fast a time for you and me its not for God. I hope you understand my viewpoint of this whole thing I say it in a nice way.

sry the reading part was responding to your previous post which i though you were agreeing with them. but that is a problem with most people. This Tolkien thing...im not even going to start on this Catholic thing because we've been warned about it. But please dont say that about Catholics not that I am one but your being just as bad as me by making assumptions. If you question the basis of the Lord of the Rings and Tolkien's Christianity read this article...an excpert from "Finding God in The Lord of the Rings" by Kurt Bruner and Jim Ware. http://www.family.org/teenguys/breakmag/features/a0018699.html

But certainly it is not wrong to seek protection and recompense from the proper authorities; God has set governments over us for that purpose, and a king or a president has God-given requirements that differ from those of the "little people". If a shepherd didn't drive away or kill the predators that attacked his flock, he would be irresponsible.
THANK YOU!!!!!

First off blackeyepeas...im not saying that the Bible is wrong in any way I was just really confused by your statement it sounded a little off when I read it. And when the Rapture will occur is important to an extent I agree with that. But I wont go into that because this isnt the thread for this conversation.
Jemidon2004 I agree that the 144,000 are Jews but that doesnt mean they wont be Christians. To have the Seal of God you need to be a Christian. Christians are not just Gentiles they are both Jews and Gentiles.

x-mas is the same as Christmas. the x stands for Christ in the Greek. if youve seen the fish with letters on it it shows the x which they use to stand for Christ. Nothing wrong with it. Do most use it without know yes they do but honeslty their is nothing wrong with it those who do take out dont without know the top usually dont acknowledge Christmas as Jesus bday anyway.

How is it that you can question Bush as a Christian? First off he's not the only one who was for capital punishment/death penalty...last time i checked its been inforced before he was born. Also when you kill someone you give up your natural right to life. You forfeit your life because you took someone else's (murder cases and possibly manslaughter only). Also Im going to throw in this Iraq thing. He's trying to prevent future terrorist attacks from men like Ben Ladin and while he's at it he can overthrow the gov't because they are evil. If you dont remember our Congress voted on it it wasnt just Bush decision. How is this man showed that he's a Christian by his actions(they havent been bad), he's willing to say he's a Christian and acknowledge it in front of thousands while some of us wont say it around our friends at school, he's pro-life, and if you havent noticed a majority of his cabinet are Christians too.

Evangelist said, "Which one do you have a real choice about?" You actually have a choice about both. I guess it depends on the person. I personally can handle the cussing on TV and movie except for shows like South Park when you just have to change the channel. As long as you dont let it influence you and I realize its not pleasing to the Lord but neither are other things that we do all the time I wont mention right now, a lite example is lying.
