Praise the Lord!  Wonderful testimony.  For a Muslim to give our God credit.  I pray that our God will become their God.

Hello LivingByFaith,

I see you are new, so WELCOME!

Actually I'm not new.  I wrote a few items in 2004.  This site got lost in the shuffle.  It is awesome because God keeps taking me on sentimental journeys to show me everywhere I have been---in real life and on cyber space.  I like this kind of traveling!!!  Don't cost much and it's comfortable.

I had a dry spell but that is when God is teaching me something. Now He is telling me it is time to really get on fire to get messages out to help others.  On this site and several others I have been writing on.

Put your mouse over the area that says "you have nn messages" and click on it. It will take you right to the PM section.

 Thanks!  I got it.

80  Fellowship / Testimonies / MIND CONTROL on: January 08, 2006, 09:52:52 PM

Mind Control is not a modern day man’s invention.  Everyone, it seems, wants to control our minds.  Someone with a strong mind and a definite set of ideas tries to convince others (especially those with a weaker mind) that his way is the only right way.  It’s even more relevant today.  There are evil-minded people in the world today who try (and often succeed) to control every phase of our lives.

They are in the government tearing away at everything that honest God-fearing people would like to keep intact.  They are breaking up the true family function, killing the babies, teaching our children all sorts of lies in the schools. Teach them young and they will never yield to the “old-fashioned way.  They will become the New Agers; fit to belong to the New World Order, one world government and one world church.  Through “fun” games, movies, T.V., books and even schools, they will easily fall into the clutches of the devil’s servants.

More and more occult ideas are boldly being implanted in our children’s minds through all the media.  There are more and more T.V. “comedies” and movies about “cute” young witches and vampire slayers; kids with extra ordinary powers.   Our kid’s minds are being snatched away from them.  Parents aren’t even being aware of what is happening to their children.  It’s like a science fiction movie coming to life.  And it’s going to get worse.  It’s preparing the world to accept the anti-christ after God’s people are taken away in the rapture.  Wake up parents and all concerned Christians.  Grab the children and hold tight before it’s too late.  We can be excited and happy to be gone from this sick world but we would like for our children to be among us.

We think we are in control of our own minds, but are we?  As soon as we are born, beginning with our parents, many others have begun to shape the way we think, whether good or bad.  Take a quick look back on your own young life.  With an open mind, think of those who had a great impact on your present life.  Were their teachings positive or negative?  If negative, how did you ever learn the difference?  What influenced your radical change of thinking?  Or is it still the same as it was then?  Were the teachings godly or ungodly.  You can live a “good” life as seen by worldly eyes but is not necessarily from God.  Were those most predominent in your life sensible or of a ridiculous nature?

How did your parents get along with each other?  Was there fighting and arguing all the time so you learned to do the same?  Did you experience love in your home by your parents?  Were you taught the love of God or only about His punishment?  Kids like to repeat swear words or vulgar words they hear.  They don’t know it is wrong until someone tells them.  Would God punish them in their ignorance?  Kids almost all go through that stage, but how you handle it, is how a child learns to think.  Think of your brothers and sisters and playmates.  Your mind picks up on what they were taught. You can get very confused.  My Mom said this but her Mom said that.  Who do you believe?  Your Mom wouldn’t lie or would she?  You may not realize it but you are talking to yourself trying to reason things out.

You go to school.  What impressions do your teachers give you?  It’s not just their verbal teachings but their own personal attitudes.  It’s not the actual learning of “things” but overall ideas.  My sister is four years younger than I.  We were discussing some things that happened in our child hood.  Even though we “knew” of certain things, we each saw a different view of the same situation.  I don’t exactly remember being told these things but somehow they were impressed in my mind that it was how it happened.  Memory is strange.

Kids today are taught to say what they think but somehow not to be careful before they speak.  Someone may get hurt.  Do any of you older readers remember “kids should be seen and not heard”?  It went from one extreme to another.

Does God control your mind or do you let the devil let it run out of control?  Your mind is not really your own.  It belongs to the one whom you allow to control your thinking and actions.  We must have faith in God that He can and will handle all situations no matter how impossible they may seem.  We have to quit thinking so much on our problems.  As “they” say, we make mountains out of molehills.

It is really a sin of unbelief to always worry about things that may never happen.  That is the devil’s job to keep our minds in an uproar.  It can even affect our mental and physical health.  If and when we do get a problem, we have to learn to rest in the assurance that God will take care of it if we let Him.

I Corinthians 2:16 says we have to train our minds to think like Jesus “But we have the mind of Christ.”
Philippians 4:6-8 “Be careful for nothing but in everything in prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ…..”  The rest of it tells you what to think on.  We can still have peace in this crazy mixed up world in spite of what is going on around us.  We can still keep on praying for our children even if they are in the clutches of the devil’s helpers.  God can deliver them safely for us.     Isaiah 26:3  “you will keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”  Lord, give us the wisdom to fight this mind control battle.

Many minds, even some Christians, are being controlled by evil forces.  They don’t even believe the Bible is without error.

All cults and false teachers use mind control.  The more of God’s precepts that can be forbidden in this country and the world, the more the devil and his workers can control minds. The New Agers are doing their work well.  That is enough for now.  I’ll let it sink in.  May God be allowed to open minds and let them take His own Words for the only truth there is.

God bless you while you let God control your thinking instead of depraved men and women.

Smiley   Smiley  Thanks Shylynne and Gary.  When I discovered that all the message boards God has led me to and most of the folks are under 50, I knew He wanted me to write for the young kids and their parents. Thank God for those who will listen. The Holy spirit is able to pull some of these people out of the pit before it's too late.

Kids are bombarded on all sides by the media, so called music, drugs and even the schools are slipping evil into the young minds.  This is topped with peer pressure.

Gary, I believe you are a good father and have raised your boy right.  How old is he if you don't mind telling me?  I'm not sure what cards you are talking about but some of my grand children were collecting something.  I thought they were ugly and evil if they are the same.  I am sure there will be many kinds following them since they are a big success and the creators of the cards and stores make a lot of money.

You should be proud of him for asking you if they were evil.
He did exactly what you told him to do after God told him to get rid of them.  Not a lot of kids would listen.

Praise the Lord for fathers and sons like you.  Keep it up and I am sure you will be blessed greatly.

Shylynne and Gary, I hope you wll pass this on to others.  And hope they will read it whether they believe it or not.  At least the seed will be planted in their heads.  Same for your son, Gary.
82  Entertainment / Poetry/Prose / UNITED STATE OF GOD"S KINGDOM on: December 10, 2004, 08:21:48 PM
I pledge allegiance to the United State of
God’s Kingdom of which I am a royal subject.
I pledge to love, honor and obey; to do His every will.
Though others tell me I am wrong,
His wish is my command.  I know my King is true.
My friends may walk away from me.
They may think I lost my mind.
But God has made me one of His (very) peculiar people.
His Kingdom is not of this sad earth.
   I’m only here for awhile.
‘Til He prepares a place for me,
I’ll be the odd man out.

I may get tired; I may just wonder why I keep going on.
Or say what I don’t feel like saying.
But God, through the precious Holy Ghost,
Tells me I must if I would be one of His own.
When the going gets tough and the path gets rough,
   I’ll remember God’s only Son.
He cried for me; he died for me.
He never cared how rough his way might be---he loves me so.
This is how I must love him.
And soon one day lay down my head
And sorrows will all pass away.
I’ll be in my mansion in the Kingdom of God
Since I pledged my allegiance to Him.

83  Theology / General Theology / Re:Holy Spirit on: December 10, 2004, 07:34:54 PM
I just wrote this a couple weeks ago.  It seems appropriate to post it now.  I definitely need the Holy Spirit to lead me in what I write.  If I try to write under my own power, it falls flat.

When I first started writing in 1987, I tried to be a people pleaser.  The Holy Spirit would tell me to write something.  I didn't want to because I thought some one would get mad at me.  I obeyed any way.  I gave a copy to a lady.  The next time I saw her, she said she really needed that.  I asked her: "What part especially?"  It was the very words I wanted to leave out.  So you never know where God's words will go.
____________________________________________________
THE HOLY GHOST WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS

John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

Before you can remember something, you have to have heard or read it somewhere before.  It may have been in your mind for a long time but it was pushed way back when other things filled your mind.  Just one word may let you pull the thought out of your memory bank.  It will seem like just yesterday that it was fresh.

What do we have to remember?  We weren’t with the disciples but Jesus told them: “Whatsoever I have said unto you.”  How can we remember what Jesus said?  We weren’t there.  We go to the scriptures in the Bible.  Before we can remember anything in the Bible, we have to have read it first-maybe several times before it sinks it.  Often we didn’t understand it at first because we weren’t ready for it yet.  So the more you read the Bible, even when you don’t understand it, the more memories are stored in your mind.  When you need that very thing, the Holy Spirit will remind you.

II Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”  This includes the Old Testament.  II Peter 1:19-21  “We have also a more sure word of prophesy---Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”   (Strong Concordance 5012---prophesy---to speak by inspiration  {in prediction---foretell a future event} or simple discourse---communication of ideas or information---Webster’s dictionary.)

The Holy Spirit can either give a prophesy of something that will happen in the future (as told to the prophets of old.  The Holy Spirit wasn’t living in them yet.) or give understanding of the scripture to someone who can interpret the matter on hand; whether it is a doctrine, reproof, correction, or instruction in righteousness.  These are all guidelines to a holy life.

John 14:16 & 17  “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world can not receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him, for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.”

I John 2:27  “But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.”

Even when someone does give an interpretation of a scripture, and some do need help in understanding, don’t just take his word as truth without checking it with the scriptures.  Don’t take my word either.  Being the imperfect creatures we are, we can make a mistake when we let our own ideas take the lead.  But believe me; the Holy Spirit will let you know when you are wrong if you are open to his correction.

I keep learning. I have been corrected, too when my own thoughts slip in.  That is what we are all to be doing instead of becoming stagnant, thinking we know it all.  I told my daughter-in-law after I had been a Christian for awhile, that the more I learn the less I know.  I thought I had all the answers.  No one ever has all the answers at once.  We keep learning as we go.  She got angry and said she thought I was more spiritual than that.  I just let it go.

John 16:12  “I have yet many things to say unto you, but you can not bear them now.”  Jesus taught them in parables of things they were familiar with.  Same with Nahum 2:3 “The chariots would rage in the streets, they shall jostle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like lightening.”

Our chariots are automobiles that run like lightening.  Road rage is running rampant; some even running into others who get in the way.  What is the big rush?  We live in the “instant this or that; no patience to wait. Nahum would think you were crazy if you talked about this.  No way could he understand such a precept.

The writers of the Bible (old and new testaments) had a difficult time getting all the facts that they were told to write on scripts but they were persistent.  If I had to write this in the same way, I might have given up and say forget it!  It takes me about an hour for each page I write, what with looking up the scriptures etc.  Imagine how long it took them to write whole books.

No wonder Jesus told the Apostles they couldn’t bear it.  What did they know about typewriters then word processors and now computers?  So it takes me one or two hours to write, yet in about 2 seconds it can be sent all over the world and translated into another language at the same time.  I first noticed this when I was writing to a lady in Korea.  I would get an email from her.  She wrote in Korean and was translated into English before I could open it up.  That amazed me.

DANIEL 12:4 " says:  "But you, o Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge will increase"  People are getting too smart for their own good.  Cloning scares me and it should you, too.  Men are trying to be like God; creating new life. Along with other things that seem so amazing and impossible.

With all this technology, many prophecies become understandable now.  We may not know exactly how they will come about but we are aware they could be possible.

John 16:13  “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into ALL truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear; that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”

With television, we see events while they are happening.  I was born before T.V.  I was 18 when I saw my first one---all of 7” and in black and white.  We now sit in the comforts of our home and watch a war going on.

In conclusion should we be amazed when the Holy Spirit shows us things that are to come?  May God help us to be ready for the return of Jesus.  It may be sooner than we think.  We have to live our life as if he is on his way this very minute; that God, the Father has told him it is time.

God bless us as we try to understand and accept His WORD as truth without interference by man.  Revelation 22:18-20 “For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  He which testifies these things says, “Surely, I come quickly.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

84  Fellowship / Testimonies / TAKE ONE BABY STEP on: December 10, 2004, 07:22:31 AM
This is my true story of how I got caught up in occultic ideas.
I don't pretend to be a Bible Scholar.  The Holy Spirit is the teacher who leads me into all truths.  I will at another time write about how I met Jesus and how God worked on me to make gradual changes as I was ready for them.  He didn't do it all at once.  He takes us at our own pace.  He is a great and loving God.

Honest! I was a little girl once and we played all kinds of silly games.  I mentioned a game to a
six year old girl and she looked at me like I was crazy.  I asked what she would be doing when she got out of school for the summer.  Nothing!  It’s boring.  Do you play hopscotch?  No.  What about cutouts or jacks?  No.  KIDS DON”T KNOW HOW TO PLAY ANYMORE.  What’s the point?  I was a little girl and I did play games.  I did enjoy them for awhile but I wasn’t satisfied.  I wanted something more.  In a sense, I was bored, too.  I wanted excitement.

I really didn’t like my life.  I pretended it was something different and I lived in the future of
What might be instead of what really was; a fantasy world.  We played a game, “Mother, may I?” I don’t remember it all but “Mother” would say” take one baby step or a giant step or something in-between.  The occult is like that.  You take one baby step and maybe a few more until you are privileged to take one giant step.  By that time you are hooked.

I did play games when I didn’t have my nose in a book.  I liked Nancy Drew detective books; the
scary ones.  I also liked “Little Women”.  When I became a teenager I liked ones with excitement
and romance in them, especially the Gothic Romances.  They always had some supernatural scenes.
Enough to give me goose bumps.  I enjoyed that unknown factor of unexplainable happenings.  My mother didn’t know what I was reading or what I was interested in.  She really didn’t care.  Young mothers, please pay attention to what your children are reading and the music they listen to.  Give them more loving attention.  Let them know you are interested in them.  Let them know you think they are something special.  I’m not going to lecture you.  Instead I am telling you how easy it is to get trapped into the occult.  The devil makes it fun for the impressionable young minds.

Deuteronomy 18:10-11 “There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his
daughter; to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or any enchanter o
witch.  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits or a wizard, or a neocromancer.”  Definitions of divination are witchcraft or trying to tell the future by occult means.  Occult means mysterious, beyond human understanding, hidden.

I began reading my horoscope everyday.  I wanted to know what to expect.  I said I didn’t believe
in it; that it was just fun.  Just the same I was careful what I did that day.  I had my first part time job as a waitress at 16.  I was very shy.  I made 35 cents an hour.  At 17, I was offered a job as a telephone operator for 75 cents an hour; a big jump, so I took it.  My parents made me pay $10 a week for rent.  I had money left over for whatever I wanted to do with it. I bought all the books I could find on astrology.  I was going to learn how to chart out my own life and others if they wanted me to.

My biggest thrill was to take a train into the big city of Pittsburgh to take dance lessons at Arthur Murray’s.  Of course I had to eat when I was through.  I found a quaint little Mystic Tea Room.  I don’t remember the food but it had an exciting atmosphere about it, gypsies and all.  Getting my fortune told with tea leaves came with the dinner.  Some of the things did come true but then again, they are very good at psychology and could draw information out of you.  They understood human nature. Some of it you can easily switch around to fit your own life style.

Just for fun, at that age, I began telling fortunes with cards.  I was becoming pretty good at it.  My mother still didn’t know what was going on.  I had a curious mind.  I wanted to KNOW many things.  I played with the Ouija board.  It can scare you and thrill you at the same time.  Sometime between reading cards and getting married at 22, I joined the Rosicrucians, a mind over matter secret society.
You see a tree but it’s not really there.  You just thought it up in your mind.  You can just as easily make it disappear---so they say.  I never tried it.  You try to use ESP in everything.  Before you open your mail box, you try to imagine what mail you got or the same for the telephone.  I was getting pretty good at that.  One experiment I had to make was to put two lit candles on a mantle with a mirror, one on either side.  Turn out all the lights and look closely into your own eyes.  Then tell them what you saw.  I saw the devil leering at me as if to say “Ha! Ha! Now I gotcha”. That really scared me. I ran and turned on every light in the house.  I quit that route.

It didn’t stop me from trying other things.  I tried hypnosis and the hypnotist, pretty well known
in Pittsburgh, wanted me to take over her practice.  I was tempted but I turned it down.  I went to a different one.  Before I entered her office, I tried to imagine what it looked like.  That scared me because it was just like I pictured it---Egyptian décor.  That is a dangerous practice---a mind control thing.  They can make you do and say things you would never do in your right mind.

I kind of turned to reincarnation.  I believed I was having a rotten time in this life because I was
rotten to others in another life.  Maybe someday I would get it right and reach my nirvana---a place or condition of great bliss or peace.  You can’t reach that state except through Jesus Christ.  John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you.”

In spite of all the turmoil and trouble around us, we can have that peace Jesus offers.  He is in the fiery furnace with us or in the den of lions.  Psalm 23:4 “Though I walk through the valley of death, I will feel no evil.”  The whole world is a valley of death until we belong to Jesus.  The whole world is still a valley of death.  Now we don’t have to walk it alone.  Jesus is always there beside us to keep us from harm.

I have been near where people got murdered four times; once just fifteen minutes after I left. A man shot the clerk in a store because he charged too much for a bottle of wine. One man got murdered sometime after he left the place where I worked.  He was stabbed 28 times; a drug related crime.  One happened to the left of me just a half block away.  The other occurred on a different day, only down the street about another block away.  I was never aware of any of it that was going on.  I lived alone in dangerous areas but I had no fear.  God sent His angels to protect me.

I got interested in “walk-ins”, UFO’s, space brothers.  I got involved in the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Bai Hai’s; to name a few.  Finally I was ready to get into the New Age---anything goes and I
Would be my own god, so they say.  But they were really the controllers.  They used anything to make you forget God.  I found an ad in a UFO magazine I was looking at.  It said to send $20 and they would tell you what your mission in life was.  I wanted to save the whole world; not let Jesus do it.  I sent the money on a Friday then I got the impression in my mind that I had to cancel the check.  I answered the thought back that I wasn’t going to do anything about it.  I was just curious.  Curiosity killed the cat!

The next day I got the same expression only much stronger, almost angry:
Cancel that check!”  “O.K. I’ll do it on Monday.”  God was letting me know I had to make up my mind whether I was going to serve Him or Satan.  I cancelled the check and wrote them a letter.  A woman wrote back and said you don’t go to the doctor and when the work is done, refuse to pay him.  That’s exactly what I did.  I wrote again and told her the Holy Spirit would tell me my mission in life and it wouldn’t cost me a cent.  That was the end of that.

Each baby step I took led me one step forward until I got to “taking” the big giant step into the occult.  We can’t laugh it off as a joke.  Even T.V. shows like “Bewitched” or other shows that have even an inkling of the occult in them should be avoided.  They seem to be funny and harmless. Your mind becomes dull and you get to the point where you think witches and magic are all normal.  I laughed as much as the next guy over Bewitched.  That is, until one Halloween I watched it.  Aunt Endora blasphemed God by saying she didn’t know why people made such a fuss over Christmas.  Halloween was the greatest holiday.  Any mention or hint of the occult is dangerous.  It can get planted in your head and it grows every time you see or hear anything related to that subject.  IT IS NO GAME!  It should have poison marked on it.

Television is warping the children’s minds.  They are being fed cultic ideas in their cartoon shows.  I can’t forget to mention Harry Potter.  Is it really harmless?  No way!  Parents wake up before the devil takes away your kids.  Guard them with your life.

I thank God He got me out of that.  Please don’t take that first baby step.     God bless you.

85  Fellowship / What are you doing? / Re:What I do on: December 09, 2004, 11:55:58 PM
This is my first time on here.   Smiley  I have to learn my way around this site.  I'm not a good driver but----I'll do the best I can.

First I will say that I am 74 years young with a lot of experiences behind me; good and bad.  I have a lot to say about a lot of things.  And all that God has done for me.

I wish to reply to the one about the Catholics.  I was born and raised one until I was 30 years old.  We weren't allowed to read the Bible  The priest had to.  They were afraid we would see the truth and I did!  I was married expecting my fourth child at that time.  My husband had a big family Bible.

I opened it up to the scriptures: "Forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats"  (I Timothy 4:3a)
Priests and nuns weren't allowed to marry.  They said they were married to Jesus Christ.

We were commanded NOT to eat meat on Fridays and other certain days.  If we didn't obey we would go to hell.  On down the way I learned they had taken that rule away.  What about those who died and had eaten meat.  Will they stay in hell?

I thought if these two things were wrong, how many more that could be wrong.  Verses 1 & 2:now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."  These 2 verse apply to other false teachings as well.

I won't give my testimony, at this time, of that and other cults and false teaching that I had gotten into because I was never grounded in the truth.

What is my ministry?  It is writing on the web and warning people of such false doctrines and telling them how they can get out and stay out of the devil's traps by studying their Bible and living by it.  But they first have to believe on Jesus (not by works)and the Holy Spirit will help them along in their walk.

From there began my search for truth but often going in the wrong direction because I didn't know any better.  No one had any answers for me.  I traveled the wilderness road alone.
I learned everything the hard way.And am still learning.

Since 2002 when I got this computer, I have a good many articles and testimonies on several different sites.  God opened some doors for me and closed them again.  He keeps giving me more.

I hope I will be able to give these testimonies on here from time to time.  God is keeping me busy and I love it.

Your sister in Christ, livingbyfaith  God bless you.
