            The defense of Rick Warren in this thread certainly isn’t surprising or shocking. The truth of the matter is Rick Warren twists scripture to suit his deceptive agenda. Rick Warren perverts the Word of God and takes that perversion and makes it his own and speaks of a false gospel and proclaims the gospel according to Rick Warren. Then tells people Jesus wants him to do this and Jesus wants him to be the type of man he is.  I have some news for ya Rick,  Jesus isn’t the one telling you its ok to do what you’re doing your falling right into the hands of satan and doing it very willingly I might add. Jesus tells us that his Word is sufficient and not to add to or take away from it and to certainly not copy and paste God’s word and place it out of context in a book to support a heretic agenda.


            It seems the general thought among many Christian is that deception is going to be black and white meaning deception is going to be blatantly be of obvious evil meaning direct evil. Let me clarify this. Some think that deception will come out of the tongues of unbelievers as a statement such as God isn’t real or you follow a false God or a myth. The type of deception that will win over more Christians is the type of deception Jesus talks about when he says that man false teachers, prophets, and other professionals will come and deceive in my name. These false message bearers will acknowledge Christ. However will count on the fact once again that some of you do not read the Bible and do not have a recommended level of relationship with Jesus. Christians who do not strive or recognize the truth will be led astray.  Its happening now its been happening for sometime now and will continue to increase.

           

          There are false teachers, apostles, prophets, preachers, clergy and other professions. They deceive in the name of Jesus. Deception isn’t always black and white. People will come as messengers of satan  but in the name of Jesus. They will count on the fact that a great deal of God’s children do not know or read Gods word daily and will choose to listen to people who will preach a false message and proclaim it as Jesus’ Gospel.

         We have to watch out for books like The Purpose Driven Life by author  Rick Warren and books of the  like. We have to watchout for media which is written in the name of Jesus and gains so much worldly following . Because in John it says that Jesus came into this world to be the light on the World. The World went to the darkness and comprenhed him NOT. The world isnt going to embrace anything with the truth about Jesus  So how can we trust a book written by a man in the name of Jesus that gains so much Worldly acceptance. Fact is we cannot trust it because it is false. Rick Warren isnt in it to spread the truthful Gospel message he is doing it for his own selfish gain.

         Everyday these false message bearers try and either widen the narrow way to the Kingdom or will lead people astray in the name of Jesus. satan is the angel of light. He will come and tell you that wrong is right, blind you and try and lead you away. Keep the faith and read God’s word. Be prepared. Gain the knowledge and wisdom that only the Word of God can provide.

         How can these men and women get away with this? Man and women are of the flesh. We are a fallen breed we screwed up from the beginning.  Yet we see churches basing they’re sermons on books by men and women (Charismatics, Word Of Faith leaders  such as TD-Jakes,  Joyce Meyer, Joel Olesteen and the Seeker Sensitive Movement creator Rick Warren, and the Left Behind Author’s who think they know of a better way. They compromise Jesus and what he did sugarcoating the crucifixion and most importantly his Resurrection and HIS Word to gain a bigger congregation and church presence but what truly is happening is a falling away and a leading astray of people from Jesus and HIS Word .  We cannot trust the word of men and women because we are flawed. Jesus had to die for us and rise to clean us of our sinfulness. Not the other way around. Jesus is God the Creator,  He alone is The Truth, The Way and The Life.

     I've been hearing some really bad things on tv. I turn it on then it gets to the point where I literally can't stand to hear anymore of it.

     In the last week I've heard how the pope is this centuries greatest man. I've also heard his suffering compared to the crucifixion of Christ, even suggesting well i'm pretty sure I heard this cant say verbatim but comparing his time here on earth the popes to Jesus and the work that HE did.

      I heard one newcaster say..If you combine all the spoken words hes uttered. speeches and so fourth, its 6 times the emount of  words in the Bible. In my opinion her saying that suggests that what he says trumps what the Word says a very big ouch!!!!.Cant really put it in words.

      Oh and it also being said by people on the radio and orther priests that judging by what good works that he has done hes going straight heaven most certainly.

       I thought the only way to Heaven was through the Son, or to the Father. That Jesus is the Way The Truth and The Life. That is Word is sufficient. That do not add or take away from his Word. That anyone that preaches any other Gospel other then the one Jesus handed down, let them be accursed. It also says in Matthew that call no man on earth your Holy father, for the only Holy Father you have is that which is in Heaven.

He died on the cross to pay the price of sin for all and then defeated hell and rose to ensure us life..
Those who choose to accept Jesus into they're hearts and believe in what he did on the cross and also his ressurection receive eternal life.
Jesus is the only way to heaven period.
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life.

So stick to Jesus like Glue. Keep your hearts and eyes on him. Let him lead not you and read his Word.

     I'm looking to meet fellow Christians. Meeting new people is kinda hard me, for a few reasons. I'm a survivor of abuse, by both my parents who are also alcoholics. There is much dysfunction on both sides of my family and both sides of my wife's family. I'm pretty much a loner. I feel I'm this way because of how much rejection i've faced by family and peers.

     I'm being treated for depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. Which includes meds and therapy.

I heard alot of talk as of late on the internet, actually on an internet chat program which has a Christian section of various rooms. Most of the rooms in the section in my opinion are a cess pool of preaching and teaching.

I wanted to get peoples opinions here on what the gift of tongues as talked about in the 2nd chapter of acts refers too

In my opinion the way I read it it the Bible it has nothing to do with the jibberish talk the pentecostal church has taught to be tongues. What I understand the 2nd chapter of acts to be talking about is this.

Well actually lets compare it to modern day. Lets say I was chosen to be an apostle. I have no knowledge of any other langauge entensivly other then english. Lets say God wanted me to preach the Gospel in Italy where they havent heard it yet. Well the Holy Spirit will bless me and give me the gift of the Italian tongue=language. Other people where given the various tongues=ability to speak in the language of the regions God wanted then to go in.

I feel that the jibberish that people say is tongues of today isnt and is not of the Holy Spirit.

I also do not believe in the fact that if the Holy Spirit hasnt given people the gift of other languages, then your not saved, which is taught by the pentecostal church, which I believe is false teaching and belongs in the cess pool.

I also believe that the pre trib rapture is a false teaching and false theory. For it to be true you would have to believe in the fact that Jesus comes to get his elect so they dont go through the bad time, then after the bad time in the end Jesus comes back for the final time. Only one problem with that folks. Says in the Bible Jesus makes but one more final return.

I believe Christians will go through this great time of trial and tribulation period. However like always Jesus will be there and protect us and get us-elect through it. He will protect his own. Just like when Moses was faced with having to get across the red see. Jesus made a way for him and the other people to get across. Like Noah and the great flood. Did Jesus wisk Noah away and his family then bring them back after the flood no. Jesus provided a Ark Jesus protected Noah the animals and Noahs family from the Judgment. The same he will do for us

Something else I've heard more than once before. People saying that they were not born sinners. They are saying that they were never separated from God. These people are saying that from birth they were automatically saved from sin. Why? because Jesus died on the cross for thier sin before they were born. Arent you suppose to admit first that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Is God made in the flesh and died on the Cross for the sins of all. Until you admit that and declare that, I do believe your not saved. These people believe that because they have Jesus in them they do not perform any worldly sin because Jesus died for it.

So these people can view porn, be angry at people,swear, use the LORDs name in vain, have lusty thoughts, and it has no difference because Jesus took all that away at the cross..Does this sound insane to anyone else besides me..I hope so at least.? They say they were born with Jesus already in them. Very sad if you ask me.

So much false teaching going on. Alot of this stuff is believed and passed along to people because they dont want to take the time and open up the Bible and read it for themselves. People are listening to the word of man who is perverting God's Word. So many people take the word of these false teachers and dont even try and validate it themselves. So many are taking the word of fallen man and being led astray. Jesus is the Truth the Way and The Life. Jesus died on the Cross for my sins your sins, your neighbors sins etc. Man didnt die on the cross for me Jesus did. The Bible is the Word of God and is Pure, Clean, Truth. Yet some people choose to listen to and follow the tainted cess pool teachings/the word of man.

Anyother guys here relate..How do you do with resisting. Just seems lto me looking at these covers often in disgust they cant seem to keep there chest in there clothes, then again most are hardly wearing any clothes..

Doesnt look like this thread receives much attention being so far back in the message stack but I will leave my 2 cents worth about the subject the way I see it.

I think we can all agree The record co's on both side of the aisle are greedy.

I've seen interviews where artist in the secular market complain about people downloading music, yet they come to the studio in stretch limos then leave the interview and go back to thier multimillion dollar homes and still complain about the downloading.

As far as the Christian market is concerned. The only Christian band that I heard about complaining about downloading is Pillar. This is after they went mainstream. If my opion another sell out band.

I understand full well that people should get paid for thier work. In the Christian music industry there is alot of talent and people work hard to get there message out there and for it to be purchased.

However whos message is it. Its Jesus's message put to a song. Songs that are written to Uplift HIM. Not to line the pockets of the artist. The artist will get paid. Jesus will make sure the artist with true fruit will be taken care of.

I'm glad filesharing is available personaly, without it I wouldnt have known about some of the garbage I almost paid for ,on the other hand I also discovered some of my favorite songs that I eventually bought on sale and with liner notes.

Cracks me up some people make a stink about downloading from filehsharing programs for free...but put a measely .50 .99 price tag on the song ok no problem gimme a break.....

it seems everytime they get a larger recrod deal, the christian values (that used to be so prominatly shown) are pushed aside!

I understand that bands get pressured into making some stuff they may not be really what they want, but i think that they should forget about the money and go back to a purly Christian band. After all it's God who gave them everything they have.
