I started a semi-monastic community just this week (I hope this isn't advertisment) but it's part of who I am, so thought I tell a little about it.

A prayer I wrote (well not all of it)

Have mercy on us, O God.

O Christ of Abundant Mercy,
Pour out Your forgiveneess,
For great is our iniquity
In Your holy and perfect eyes.

O Lord open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. (1)

We praise You O God,
And the glory of Your creation,
The Heavens proclaim Your Majesty,
And the earth proclaims Your glory.

Reveal Yourself to us.

Lord, reveal Your mysterious ways,
To us Your humble servants,
We deserve not Your abundant grace,
But You give it anyway.

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heave nand earth are full of Your glory.(2)

Lord, we outpour our thanks to You,

Having trouble thinking of a good name though

Jesus Christ, the Living Word,
Has captured my hellbound soul.
He came to this earth for just one purpose,
To give His life for my troubled heart.
Only by the power of His Spirit,
Can I say that He is Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Washed by His precious blood,
Spilled on the Cross.
He will always be with me.
He gives me Life in bread and wine.
All I can offer is thanksgiving,
To the Son of the Living God.

The only sacrifice I have is praise,
You listen to it all my days.
The God who gave me salvation,
Who feeds me in sacrament.
My heart cannot say this Liturgy,
Because of what You've done for me.
