I was looking to see what ever happened with PR's brother? How is he doing? I pray that he's happily celebrating the holiday season with his family on earth, and preparing also for his ultimate home in heaven.

Blessings-

Thank you for asking. He is home and doing fine considering what he has gone through. He was able to go to his granddaughters birthday party a couple of days ago even though it wore him out.

He is planning on celebrating Thanksgiving with his wifes family this year. Fortunately it is a very short trip so I am sure he will do fine.

Rare seal bearing Jesus image found in Tiberias
By Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent

A rare seal bearing a picture of Jesus on one side was discovered at an archeological dig in the old city of Tiberias on Thursday.

The other side of the seal, which dates from the sixth century, depicts a cross and bears the inscription "Christos."

The seal was discovered by two volunteers, employees of the American and British embassies.

Prof. Yizhar Hirschfeld of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who is directing the dig, said the seal apparently belonged to a high-ranking church official, and indicated that the church in Tiberias "was stronger than we had thought."

Rockfall plumes draw attention to simmering volcano

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Rockfall at Mount St. Helens kicked up a dust plume Tuesday that rose above the rim of the volcano's crater, drawing attention in the region.

"It's a nice sunny day and we're having the first couple of rockfalls that we've had in a while that are putting little dust plumes over the crater rim," said U.S. Geological Survey geologist Seth Moran at the agency's Cascade Volcano Observatory here, about 50 miles south of the mountain that erupted to deadly effect in May 1980.

Seismic activity has continued at low levels, Moran said.

The white plume floating above the peak was raising concerns locally.

"When rockfalls go down they kick up a dust plume and people can see it - especially from Portland," Moran said.

Overcast weather had hidden the mountain for weeks.

"Any time you go through a pause" during which the mountain is not visible, people notice activity more when the peak comes back into view, Moran said.

Mount St. Helens rumbled back to life in September 2004 after years of quiet. In October a flow of molten rock reached the surface, marking a renewal of domebuilding activity that had stoppped in 1986.

The 1980 eruption killed 57 people, flattens forests and sent a river of hot mud and ash down the Toutle River Valley.

USGS and the University of Washington continue to monitor the mountain.

Scientists say a more explosive eruption, possibly dropping ash within a 10-mile radius of the crater, is possible at any time.

American Muslim student convicted on al-Qaeda charges
Last Updated Wed, 23 Nov 2005 06:13:55 EST
CBC News

A federal jury in Virginia deliberated for 2 ˝ days before finding a Muslim student guilty of belonging to al-Qaeda and plotting to kill U.S. President George W. Bush and hijack aircraft.

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, 24, faces life in prison at his sentencing on Feb. 17.

The U.S. citizen had claimed that officials in Saudi Arabia tortured him to extract a false confession to the charges.

Jurors who watched the videotaped confession did not accept his version of events.

It showed the defendant occasionally laughing and pretending to point a gun, as well as saying he hated his home country because of its support for Israel.

Notes provided by Saudi interrogators said Abu Ali had talked of several plots, including a plan to assassinate Bush.

"The evidence presented in this case firmly established Abu Ali as a dangerous terrorist who posed a grave threat to our national security," U.S. Attorney Paul McNulty said in a statement.

Abu Ali's lawyer said he will appeal Tuesday's verdict.

The young man was raised in the Virginia town of Falls Church, the son of a Jordanian father. He was attending an Islamic university in Saudi Arabia when he was arrested more than two years ago.

Law firm finds no discrimination in NMSU football
Last Update: 11/22/2005 9:18:04 AM
By: Associated Press

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - The New Mexico State University football program did not engage in religious discrimination against three former student-athletes, according to a law firm commissioned by the university to investigate the allegations.

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico was seeking a public apology from head coach Hal Mumme and disciplinary action against him.

The investigation found that the players were released based on their performance and attitudes, not because of religion.

Peter Simonson, executive director of the ACLU, says the findings are disappointing.  He also questions the impartiality of the probe.

Simonson says he will speak with the players to see if they want to pursue legal action.

ACLU Looking to File Suit Over JHS Graduation "Altar Call"

November 21, 2005 – Posted at 6:03 p.m. CST

JONESBORO, AR – Religious expression in public schools is a hot-button topic that continues to be a frontline subject in culture wars. Extreme views on both sides often push the envelope, leaving the schools caught in the middle. And now, as the ACLU looks to wage a lawsuit against a Region 8 school, it may be an issue that hits close to home.

In May of this year, a Jonesboro student gave a prayer during a high school graduation ceremony at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center. During the prayer, which lasted four minutes, she gave an “altar call” to the community, asking those in the audience to come forward to accept Jesus Christ.

“In the closing moments of this service, if you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, here's your chance,” said senior Jessica Reed in a May 20, 2005 taped video of JHS graduation ceremonies.

“We were contacted sometime after that by the American Civil Liberties Union that they felt like there had been a violation of the First Amendment, separation of church and state with regard to a prayer,” said Jonesboro Public Schools Attorney Donn Mixon.

And now the ACLU is looking for a plaintiff in a case against Jonesboro High School. In a letter written by the Arkansas ACLU executive director Rita Sklar, the event is described as a “blatant display of contempt for the First Amendment.”

“This is a tough area for schools to balance. People have a freedom of religion, but as a school district, we can not recognize a religion, and the balance between those two is where the rub comes,” said Mixon.

The Jonesboro Public School District does have a policy on religious beliefs and school ceremonies.

“Our policy is to not recognize any particular religion and not to recognize religion, period,” said Mixon, “In this case, the student was on the school program as giving a prayer, and that does go against our policies.”

“I'm here to tell you that God is someone, that he is amazing,” said Reed during her speech, “He will love you through everything. He will praise you when you are down. All you have to do is give your heart to Him. And before we leave, I want to give you that opportunity.”

But Mixon says it's a policy that will be enforced and a problem that won't happen again.

“It has occurred from time to time that students speak their mind about religion, or about prayer at graduation. The problem comes when the school recognizes that,” said Mixon, “And we had a lapse where our policy about prayer was apparently not followed that is still being investigated, but we can assure the ACLU and the public that that will not happen again.”

Mixon says he hopes there will not be a law suit regarding this incident, but he couldn't comment on whether or not the student who gave the speech had been punished by the school.

It is my hope and prayer that no "plaintiff" comes forward. The ACLU won't have a case then.

Iran Is Building Nukes in Underground Locations
North Korea Lending Iran a Hand to Develop Nuclear Missiles: Iranian Consultant
By LUIZ MARTINEZ and JACQUELINE SHIRE

Nov. 21, 2005— - Iran has built, with the help of North Korea, dozens of underground tunnels and facilities for the construction of nuclear-capable missiles, according to Alireza Jafardazeh, a Washington D.C.-based consultant and former spokesman for the National Council of the Resistance of Iran, an Iranian opposition group.

Speaking this morning at the National Press Club, Jafarzadeh described an "extensive large-scale operation" for the development of nuclear-capable missiles "in the most sophisticated, hidden way" in tunnels in a mountain range east of Tehran. Jafarzadeh named several Iranian entities involved in Iran's missile program, overseen by the Hemmat Industries Group. He said that eyewitnesses describe the facilities, begun in 1989, as an "underground township." Jafarzadeh added that, in addition to work on the Shahab family of missiles, Hemmat is overseeing work on a new long-range missile, Ghadar, which is still in development and has a projected range of 1,300 to 1,900 miles.

Reports of North Korean cooperation with Iran on its nuclear and missile programs have surfaced previously. In July 2005, Reuters cited a three-page intelligence report charging that North Koreans were teaching secret graduate-level courses at Tehran's Polytechnic University in nuclear technology. The UK's Telegraph reported in June 2005 that North Korean specialists in underground construction had arrived in Tehran to help design their facilities that would better shield Iran's nuclear program from international scrutiny.

Jafarzadeh's allegations come on the heels of the latest report on Iran from the International Atomic Energy Agency, which reveals that Iran received a document from the A.Q. Khan network in 1987 describing the "casting and machining" uranium into "hemispherical forms," a process directly relevant to the design of a nuclear warhead.

A State Department official contacted by ABC News about Jafarzadeh's charges was unable to corroborate them but did confirm that the Hemmat Industries Group was sanctioned in May 2003 as the unlawful recipient of missile technology from Moldova. The Shahab-3 was flight-tested by Iran in 2004. It is known to be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and has a range of 1,500 kilometers. Experts do not know how many such missiles Iran has produced or deployed.

20,000 Protest Letters Delivered to ACLU Headquarters
by Josh Montez

It's a strong message that many Americans are tired of ACLU
Action against Christians and their faith.

Reverend Rob Schenck with Faith in Action went to the ACLU headquarters in New York City and hand delivered the letters from the American people. Schenck says the let the ACLU know that people are fed up with the liberal organization's legal aggression.

"They go in, they harass communities, they use up tax payer dollars by filing lawsuits over everything from nativity scenes to displays of the Ten Commandments to crosses, or any other vestige of our Judeo-Christian heritage.”

Schenck says the incident that pushed him over the edge was the ACLU court battle to remove the Ten Commandment displays from a small Ohio school district. After they won, the ACLU sued the school district for legal fees.

“The ACLU doesn’t need any reimbursement. The ACLU took in a hundred and fifty million dollars in contributions last year, and they have now demanded $80,000 from the school district there. We said that’s enough.”

Alan Sears with the Alliance Defense Fund says it’s high time the ACLU heard from Main Street America.

“It’s ridiculous what the ACLU has done to the people of this country and what they’ve done to especially small towns and small school districts officials with their campaign of fear, intimidation and disinformation."

Schenck says he plans to keep delivering letters to the ACLU on behalf of the American people.

The ACLU did not return our call for comment.
