I'm worried about my sister (she's almost 21).  I've been praying a long time that she would start coming to church with me.  My prayers were answered when about 3 weeks she officially became a member of my church and (I hate to word it like this) claimed to be saved.  I was over-joyed.  My sister's been through a lot lately and I thought her life was finally starting to get back in line.  But then last week she decided that between her two jobs, she just didn't have time for church anymore.  I really don't know what to do.  I try talking to her but she just gets irritated with me for "nagging" her.  Could you please pray for her and for me to understand what to do for her?  

I've never actually started a debate thread and since I'm new I apologize if this has already been done or no one really cares about it, but my friends and I have had more than one debate with our Pastor on whether Harry Potter is "evil" or brings people away from God.  I personally LOVE to read and I thought these books were very well written.  I've read all 5 books and enjoyed them quite a bit.  Thoughts, opinions, rude comments... all welcome.  

I'm currently reading them.  I liked how they helped me understand what's going to happen in the tribulation... but as far as a well written book, I didn't really think they developed the characters very well and they weren't very likable (the characters, not the actual books.  Right...).  Just my two cents...

Just curious:  Is anyone out there about the same age as me?  I just turned 20 last March, and judging from some of the responses I've read to some of the other posts, some of y'all sound like you're way older me.  But that's ok.  I don't mind.

To answer your first question I've technically been a christian since I was 12 but since I joined my current church 2 years ago, I've really began ... I don't know if I can explain it.  I've just felt closer than ever to God.  I really feel like it's where I belong.  Oh... there I go again rambling.  I tend to do that on ocassion. Sorry.  

And thank you, but I can't take credit for the user name.  My friend actually made it up.  

Yay for you!  I just joined my church choir also.  I'm really excited to be able to witness through the music we sing.

Hello all.  I'm new.  My name is Jessica (Jess) and I feel really blessed to have found this site.  I'm a Christian and I'm loving every minute of it.  I'm 19 and in college. *Tries to think about something clever and interesting to say about herself*  To be honest, I'm really not all that interesting.  I mainly joined this site because I'm going through some kind of tough stuff in my life right now and it's nice to have fellow believers to talk to... or type to.  You get the point.  Anyways, I think I'm done rambling for now.
