1  Theology / Debate / Re: Sin Poll Question on: January 29, 2008, 11:17:33 PM
Haven't been here in years...but found this a very interesting question.

The question is not sin...

Christ died for the sins of the world and took them ALL upon himself...every sin is forgiven..everyone is forgiven.

The question is...do you believe that Christ took your sin upon himself and that all of your sin is forgiven? Do you believe Christ is who He said He is, God the son, and he died for your sins and rose on the 3rd day? Do you take God at His word that to obey God today is to only believe?

No faith/works...which means you prove your faith by your works...circumcision, keeping the law, rituals,etc...all of which were given to Israel...not to the body of Christ. We are to obey by faith. Anything else is disobedience and not what is for the church today.

All the Bible is for us, but not all the bible is to us. If it was all to us we would be building an ark today or sacrificing animals...you have to find where you are in God's Word today. We are not Israel...we are not under the law...we are for sure under grace, God will not send His wrath in this age...find where you are...start with Paul's Epistle's. We are in his prison Epistle's...when you read these and understand the wonderful riches of grace there, you will never question losing your salvation again.

Today it is not asking for forgiveness of sins, for they were all forgiven at the cross, Nor works, as faith in what Christ has done for us is accomplished...but belief by itself.  Faith means believing what God has said.

Saved_byChrist...I have heard this from the mouth of Kerry. Tom here has heard this. Wise up. So many people have seen him say this. Eye witnesses!

He is evil...a murderer, rapist, deceiver.

But I know that God is in control and that what God wants that will be.

I pray for the rapture...and I know that a lot of evil will come before the rapture...The Antichrist I think is soon on the horizon. The rapture is before him...so be it. YAHOO!!!!  Grin

oh my gosh! People....

Um...no, I'm not the military.....?
But yes, digme, I am Christian...

I never said I didn't think that abortion wasn't sinful...I think it's very sinful! In fact as I speak I'm wearing a shirt that says "ABOLISH ABORTION" writen on it- I'm saying that you can't judge a person's ability to lead a nation based on the one or two (faith-related) issues that so many people do.

I'm just sick of people saying that it's a sin to support Kerry, and that God will punish you or whatever...

Who could cut off heads and ears? Barbaric isn't it...yet this is what John Kerry himself said HE did personally!

Out of his own mouth...he said he did these things!

If he can do these things, if he has that dark and wicked of a heart...I could never trust him. He is cold and calculating. He is evil.

okay! No, deffinatley not good info! It'd be just a little better if it were true!!
Kerry did *not* do that stuff, he's *not* barbaric, and he deffinatley did *not* confess to this!!! I'm guessing you're refuring to the swiftboat ads? Lies! I saw his whole speech that he'd made that night, it was on just a few weeks ago. When he mentioned that stuff, he was refurring to what someone *else* had seen- deffinatly not what he had done! Come on! That's actually way funny...sorry, I have to laugh at that...do you honestly believe that like half of America would want someone who'd done those things to be their president? Do you really think that he would have gotten this far already with that kind of record? No. He'd of been gone from the begining if he had admited to murdering people...maybe you should go back and take a closer look- at the actual speech- *not* Bush's version of the speech.....

Sorry Saved_byChrist...Have you never listened to his speech to congress???

He spells it out loud and clear! He says not only have others done this...BUT HE ALSO SAYS HE HAS PARTAKEN OF THESE BARBARIC EVIL DEEDS!!! HE CONFESSES TO IT, WITH HIS OWN MOUTH!

No one had to say he did it...He said he did it!

It has been played over and over on TV...not part of any republican ads. I only wish the republicans would play this...then the country would know what a cold hearted, evil person Kerry really is. How else could you explain someone who could do such things?

You tell me? How do YOU explain such a person???

I want this to be on this page also...so it will not be skipped...

I want you to seriously consider this in your hearts. This is not said in a mean way. But really ponder this for a moment.

Think what kind of a heart a person would have to have, what kind of thinking a person would have to have, what an unattatchment to others a person would have to have if he could rape a woman, not one but many. Think about the terror that poor woman would be going through and the heartlessness of that man...the coldness, the wickedness of his heart. For power he did this, this is how he could feel power, by shaming and hurting the helpless.

Then think what kind of a person could shoot and kill young children and women for the sport of it. An evil person one with the same traits as above.

Who could cut off heads and ears? Barbaric isn't it...yet this is what John Kerry himself said HE did personally!

There will be a new Supreme Court Judge appointed within the next four years, for sure. Do you want a liberal one who will vote for abortions, plus every other liberal cause? Or do you want a conservative judge who will protect life and vote consevative on matters that come before the court?

You must vote for Bush if you want to see abortions stopped, and lives saved. Kerry will vote for a judge who is in favor of abortions and every other liberal cause. Because Kerry IS a liberal. Bush is not.

7  Theology / Debate / Re:Can psychics really see the past/future? on: October 10, 2004, 12:57:25 PM

As stated, in all Biblical accounts, God condemned magic works, and it is stated a coupel of times that there can be no communication between the dead and the living.

That should explain all that needs to be.

You are right...ABSOLUTLY right. This is all that needs to be said. God forbids it. It is to another god people are turning. God says it is not Him. So why do so many Christians still confer with psychics, palm readers, fortune tellers, the dead, and the like?

What foolish people...it reminds me of the Isrealites in the wilderness when Moses came down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments and found God's people worshipping another god...this is the same thing. You are looking to Satan for answers to your life. DO YOU REALLY THINK HE IS FOR YOU AND GOING TO HELP YOU?
8  Theology / Debate / Re:FAITH OF CHRIST on: October 10, 2004, 12:46:56 PM
Exactly right! Glad to see your post. Our faith/faithfulness couldn't save a fly. It was the faith/faithfulness of Christ that He lived a perfect sinless life, that took Him to the cross to bear our sins for us. It is on His righteousness, His faith/faithfulness that we can stand before God, it is not on our works or righteousness, our faith/faithfulness, as we fail in all of these.

I live in Florida...if there were any true psychics, they could have told me not to pack up and evacuated for hurricanne Charley that was coming directly at the Tampa Bay bay area at a cat 3 stage and then upgraded to a 4. Because 2 whole hours before it hit land...it took a turn south and hit the Puenta Gorda area and devastated them. Hmmm...think they would have liked to have known too.
10  Theology / Debate / Re:Meat is Murder on: October 02, 2004, 04:08:00 PM
Science may classify man as an animal, but God does not. God created man separately and unique from animals with a conscience, soul, and spirit that answers to God. Animals do NOT answer to God, and neither do plants. God wouldn't care what scientists call man, but God uniquely called them man and woman, not animal. Animals and plants were made for the nourishment of man, and some animals were and still are used for beasts of burden or work. Jesus Christ did NOT die on the Cross for animals, rather for man.

The birds of the air, fish of the sea, and land animals do not include man, nor are they subject to judgment or condemnation. Almighty God, the Creator, called man "man", and He put man in dominion over all other creatures. Man was made in God's image, but animals were NOT. In short, plants and animals are food, but man is not. There isn't a single portion of the Holy Bible that suggests or hints anything different.

Regarding classification by scientists, The Creator already did that, and He doesn't agree.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Absolutly right on Tom. Thank you for that post.

Humans are not animals. We were made in the image of God. God said all animals are for us to eat and not to be refused.

It's a scientific fact humans are animals

And it is not a scientific FACT that we are animals. People just say that and others follow along with that saying. Our DNA makeup is completly different. THAT is a scientific FACT.

It's a Biblical fact we are not animals. Science books are always having to be changed because they are wrong. The Bible is never wrong and has always been proved to be true.

Genesis1:25: And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Kerry Flip-flops on Missing WMDs

While the Washington press corps seems to have missed it, WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg has been playing a clip of Sen. John Kerry in his biggest flip-flop yet - showing the presumptive Democratic nominee suddenly admitting that Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction may soon turn up.

It's quite a turnaround for Kerry, who just a few weeks ago was complaining: "George Bush sold us on going to war with Iraq based on the threat of weapons of mass destruction. But we still haven't found them. ... We were misled about weapons of mass destruction."

Key Kerry backer Howard Dean has been even more adamant, insisting to CNN earlier this month: "There were no weapons of mass destruction. ... This is Bushgate, which is far more serious than Watergate."

But Tuesday night on MSNBC's "Hardball," Kerry retreated.

"It appears, as they peel away the weapons of mass destruction issue - and we may yet find them," he told host Chris Matthews. "Look, I want to make it clear. Who knows if a month from now, three months from now, you find some weapons? You may."

Coincidentally or not, Kerry's reversal came a day after the Jordanian government announced that WMDs from Syria were part of an al-Qaida plot to kill 80,000 people in Amman with poison gas. At least one of the plotters has admitted he was trained in Iraq.

The top Democrat's flip-flop also followed news that a suspected weapons of mass destruction production facility in Baghdad - disguised as a perfume factory - unexpectedly blew up, killing two GIs who were searching the plant.
