One of the main reasons I try not to offend my brothers and sisters when we disagree is because I like to imagine us all up in Heaven some day having a good discussion over a cup of joe and being amazed at what we thought was correct really wasn't and what we thought was incorrect was really correct.... and having a good laugh over it.

God's way works! I'm living proof! The problem with your examples earlier - about 'following' an ungodly husband - is that we should let the Lord lead us to a husband. The problems arise when we do it our way....

What happens if we marry the man God has for us and down the road that man stops being a Godly leader in the home?

Having been a moderator on 2 Christian sites in the past, I can honestly say that it is not as easy as it looks. bep makes it look easy because his heart is in the right place and he cares about the members here.  

The hardest link to click on is the one that says "ban/lock user account." Other than outright trouble makers, I can not think of a time when I saw a person get their account banned in haste. That decision is made only after much prayer.

AAAAmember- I don't know if you can read this post or not. I am praying for you. I really hope that you have seen the Light of Christ. I will continue to lift you up in prayer.

My husband is from MN and I am from SC.
When we first got married, he had never heard of black eyed peas.
When I told him what they were, he said he'd never touch them ever!
I made bep soup and told him he'd have to cook for himself or go hungry that night unless he ate the soup. I promised him that if he tried the soup and didn't like it, I'd never make it for him for supper again.
He tried the soup and didn't mind gobbling down his words as he gobbled down the second and third bowl full.  
Now he requests bep soup at least twice a year in the winter.  

Depends on the time of year.
In the summer time I can't resist a nice rare-med rare steak and a salad made from veggies in my garden.

In the winter time I can't resist a big pot of blackeyed pea soup.

I might also add, about Adam . . .he didn't need no snake to tempt him to blame someone, he came up with the blaming on HIS OWN.  And did you notice who got the bigger a-s chewing?  It was Adam, and do you know why?  It's only when we're sorry for our sin that we find forgiveness, not when we blame someone for our sin.  

Adam and Eve were both punished for their own sins (and not the sins of the other).
They both played the blame game.
Satan tempted Eve probably because he knew that she would be the easier target.
Adam, as the head of Eve, should have not given into her. He let both of them down when he let her have the power to sway him.

It just cracks me up the way that some women are so conditioned to think that men are not utterly flawed.

You think that YOUR behavior is going to make or break your husband--it is only the Lord and the Holy Spirit's work in a man's heart-- but that's another subject.  

As a wife I know that I can sway my husband's decisions. When he fulfills his duties as head of house, things go great for us. When he fails, disaster results.
As a Christian wife, I have learned that the power of prayer is amazing and also that our family is better off letting God sway him.

History tells us that He lived.
There were eye-witness accounts of a man named Jesus who died on the cross and rose again.
There were witnesses who heard Him claim to be God.

Well fortunately for me she won't be 900 miles away yet.  

She has had her sights set on a college for about 2 years now. She wants to be a music major. However, we still have a few years to go before she gets to that.
