1  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Homeless Teen on: May 09, 2004, 11:16:33 PM
Hi everyone. Well, despite my own problems on mother's day, my friend has had a quarrel at his house  Undecided. When he woke up he went and bought his mother a bouque of roses and brought them to her in bed. While he was talking to her, his step-dad came in there and grabbed him by his hair and through him out of the room. His step-dad told him to mow the lawn, and my friend said the lawn mower was broken. His step-dad didn't seem to care and told him to use the sling blade in the shed. My friend shrugged and protested saying he had to be at church in and hour and a half and sling blading an acre of grass would take forever. His step-dad yelled asking what he needed to be at that G**D*** church for. My friend told him he was getting baptised and his step dad told him he didn't need to go. Well, long arguement short, my friend got kicked out of the house. The problem is, he has nowhere to stay. He has a job but it pays very little money and doesn't have near enough time to get a second job. He's staying with a friend of mine from church for now (but can only stay for so long). Listen, I know God will provide, but I ask that you pray for him and that he will make it through emotionally and finacially. Also, I ask that you pray for his step-dad.
Love you guys,
Ash
2  Prayer / Answered Prayer / Many led to God!!! on: April 05, 2004, 02:10:14 PM
I'm very sorry this is a late post. This happened back around Halloween, but you HAVE to hear this! My church has a program every year around Halloween called "Judgement House". Some may say it's similar to a haunted house. It's a walk-through play, where you can see what happens when you die (we make strict note, however, that what we dipicted can't be NEARLY accurate). Last year we walked many beleivers and even more non-beleivers through this play telling the story of two non-christians and one christian. It takes you on a journey (through-out the church really) through the lives of these people and when they die, then it shows the judgment room. First, we take them through "Hell" and show them how we dipicted it (although far worse in reality), then we take them through "Heaven" and show them how we dipict it (although far more beautiful in reality). Well last year, everyone prayed extra hard on this. WE LED OVER ONE HUNDRED TEENAGERS AND ADULTS TO CHRIST IN ONE WEEK!!! PRAISE THE LORD!  Grin If you want more details on "Judgment House" leave a post and I can get back to you!

3  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Near Death Experience on: April 05, 2004, 11:51:14 AM
Um, hi. I'm new to the forums. I'm 15 (soon to be 16 in two days) and basicly i've always wanted to be 16 and get my drivers liscense. But something nearly stood in my way last night. You see, I was watching The 10 Commandments (great movie) with my dad last night. I made a pallet on the couch in case I fell alseep (movie = 4 hours and 45 mins long... yea) Well anyways. I've been a little sick lately (with a new flu going around, I think). And on top of that I have horrible allergies (even worse, pollen count is high this spring). Eventually I fell asleep and my two miniture dogs and cat jumped up on the couch with me. Through-out the night I rubbed my eyes and coughed up lungs b/c they were carrying pollen on them. I woke up about 2 am to find I couldn't breath very well. My glands were swollen and my heart was beating REALLY fast. I started shaking and getting dizzy. My dad was awake along with my brother (19 y/o). They weren't sure what to do. They offered to drive me to the hospital but I knew I'd be there for hours and get no help. (our hospital isn't very reliable) So they figure Vicks vapor rub and some Nyquil would help the conjestion and me stop coughing. I was scared to take the Nyquil b/c I was afraid I would stop breathing in my sleep. Needless to say, I trusted God on this. And I prayed about it. I don't even remember fallening asleep, but when I woke up, I was completly fine. I could breath fine, I wasn't coughing NEARLY as much, but I was still a little shaking and dizzy. Every now and then since i've woken up, I'll feel slightly short of breath. I have a doctors apointment in about 30 mins. This whole experience scared me very much, I was afraid I wouldn't see my friends and family for a long time. I'm hopeing someone would be willing to pray that this isn't some disease, or that it doesn't happen again. Thank you.
