I tend to think so.  He definitely served with his time and talents in several ministries.  He only became what I term difficult and selfish toward me after he suffered some rather serious health problems last fall.  He is doing really well now though and I think we should be at peace with each other.  There is not an ongoing argument but there is something between us, friction for one thing but it probably comes from attraction and tension from his conscience maybe.  I know circumstantially we are put in each others paths.  I believe God is saying something when that happens.  I am listening, and praying he will too......

I am so happy to see the improvement and help from so many here since I joined in April.  Thank you Whitehorse.  You are gifted and very helpful.  Praise God.

To answer the questions:  Yes he is a believer and we are now attending the same book study at church.  I started to attend a class scheduled at another time (in order to avoid him) but it got cancelled.  I know the Lord says to forgive and let him work and the whole relationship was permeated with working together for Christ.  I am sorry I did not clarify that in my request.  It is the very reason I do not want to let him go but after some events last fall our relationship was pretty much devastated.  I believe both people should give and I had given all I could at the time.

I still do not feel that there is any real closure however.  I would love to get back together but I know the Lord has to be the one to bring it about.  Thank you for praying.  It is important to me to know that you will and I believe intercession is very helpful.  I may at times be too involved here to be completely impartial.

I recently ended a relationship and am rather at a place where I don't know how to feel.  I still feel as if the person I was involved maybe is who I should still be with but I am not for certain.  He makes matters more confusing because I am rather clueless about how he feels. I need to be sure so I can either try to work things out with him or move on.  I have spent a lot of my adult life alone and I trully believe it is the Lord's will for me to have a companion and mate.

Please pray for me and for the man, that he be open to the Lord's will for us and that he not be able to hurt me with my feelings for him nor will he play silly games with my emotions.

I haven't read that one right now but am currently in a book study about prayer.  I am looking for some good books about improving prayer life and praying more effectively.  A good book if you haven't read it is "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.  Included is a section about prayer.

Also any study of Psalms would probably be helpful as the book itself is full of beautiful prayers.  David is fascinating to me.  Another simpler seeming idea; "The Prayer of Jabez" and "Every Prayer in the Bible" by Larry Richards.

Got any good book ideas on spiritual warfare?  It is another current study plan of my own.  Thanks for the post Whitehorse.

AMEN.  I know sometimes I am so justified in my anger yet my anger is so intense it leads to me to other gray areas that can become stumbling blocks toward other sin.  I was reading about hindrances to effective prayer and one thing that stuck out to me was lack of abiding.  Lack of abiding in him is like trying to straddle the fence in that we want to turn to God when we need him but tend to forget about him at other times.  IT does not work because we can not grow without full knowledge of his presence at all times.

I have also begun daily repentance, not just when I sin obviously but even my thoughts are sinful and my desires sometimes.  That counts and God wants my confession so he is further strengthened within me.

Yes.  God can do anything and to think differently is doubting him and his word.  People have said to me,  Well God just won't do that and I say  He can do what he wants to, He is God and I am not.  People tend to try to put God in a box but there isn't one big enough or strong enough.  That is not the image we should have of him but rather we should realize he is able to do more than we ask or imagine!  Faith is what we need more of all the time!!!!!!

Been in similar also.  Right now in fact.  I pray for restoring relationships according to God's will for you, that any evil obstructions be removed.

Divorces are hard for families and loved ones.  Lord, bless the person with the courage to ask for prayer about this and grant wisdom.  May the couple be gripped by conviction of what their attitudes are really doing to others.  Bless and protect the children, shield them with your mighty fortress of love and ability to help them overcome anything that may come their way.  Let them turn to you Father, my God of mercy and love.  

Lord guide this couple to the right place where you wish them to be.  May they be strengthened and encouraged through other Christians and be in your will.  Help them find the right ministry and may it be better for your kingdom.

I have many needs flooding my mind, ready for your earnest, faithful prayers.  My children,their well being,  my church, broken and strained relationships(T&K),lost loved ones, oh to be a better witness, to overcome doubts,bad habits and bad attitudes, as well as bad hair days.  PLEASE to be a witness to the lost that is pleasing to the Lord and helpful to the sinner.

May others see the light of Jesus in me.  May others see the light of Jesus in you!!!!!

What an interesting name!  The idea behind it,  I am unsure of but I could not help but observe it and was compelled to explore to learn more about what you had to say.  Broken to me implies many things, mostly not good but one good thing is a broken spirit for God.  Let the Lord have complete control over your person,  in mind, in body, in spirit,  to be "broken".  This could be most liberating to you and will help to heal you of the depression!
