17  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Please pray... on: June 19, 2003, 08:16:18 PM
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.  Psalm 23:4

Praying for your comfort Seven Tides.
18  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Need prayer backing on: June 19, 2003, 08:08:03 PM
FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; BUT OF POWER, AND OF LOVE, AND OF A SOUND MIND.  2 TIMOTHY 1:7

Will pray for you and a sound word of advice.  Go to the word of God.  There is more than enough to meet the foe.  Tell the devil to flee and he must.  He has no choice.
19  Theology / General Theology / Re:Forgiveness on: June 17, 2003, 11:29:04 PM
We are for sure called to forgive.  Forgetting is a different story sometimes.  It is not the same thing but I can see that the two words are used together often, sometimes for good reason, sometimes for not good reason.. Example, to forgive means to get beyond using the misdeed to hurt or retaliate(revenge), forget means total absence of memory of the deed.  When someone has done a wrong, we must forgive for our own benefit, when we don't we end up suffering because of the unforgiveness.  However in some cases, it is wise to remember to not let ourselves be put in the same position again.  Hope this explanation helps.  I have found it much easier to forgive others since looking at the whole issue from this perspective.  God bless.
20  Prayer / Prayer Requests / update of praise on: June 17, 2003, 11:11:31 PM
Thanks for the prayers.  Keep praying, and wanted to say since the post I have been led to help a youth mission ministry and to sing (I ALREADY DO) but again.  Jesus is Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thankful to all of you and it is so affirming to see answers coming to the glory of the Lord.  Thanks again.  Amen and Amen.
21  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:TigerLilly In Hospital on: June 16, 2003, 11:55:01 PM
FOR HE HATH NOT DESPISED NOR ABHORRED THE AFFLICTION OF THE AFFLICTED; NEITHER HATH HE HID HIS FACE FROM HIM; BUT WHEN HE CRIED UNTO HIM, HE HEARD.  Psalm 22:24

Praying also for her healing and comfort from the Lord, that she may not fear and that her suffering be eased.
22  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:sister-in-law need chemo on: June 15, 2003, 01:42:59 PM
Father,  I ask that you bring healing to Inez, whichever way you choose through doctors or other means.  Please bring peace to her and her family and faith in you to see them all through this difficult time.  May they remember to call on you.

Thank you Jesus.
23  Theology / General Theology / Re:Change in grace on: June 15, 2003, 12:20:10 AM
Smiley  Grace is the only reason any of us have for our salvation.   There is nothing any of us can do to deserve our salvation, no matter how many laws we keep or scriptures we memorize.  Thank you, I was blessed to read your post.

24  Theology / General Theology / Re:Wisdom on: June 15, 2003, 12:10:16 AM
Smiley For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  Colossians 1:9
25  Theology / General Theology / Wisdom on: June 11, 2003, 08:18:07 AM
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partialty, and without hypocrisy.  James 3:17
26  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Good idea, or unbelievably stupid? on: June 11, 2003, 01:04:48 AM
People who care tell me I don't have any responsibility beyond telling them where I stand, but realize these people are watching me close to see how I react to things, situations, my responses etc.

I don't know when to quit either so you are not the only one but it keeps me on my toes!
27  Prayer / Prayer Requests / need prayer for church and personal weaknesses on: June 11, 2003, 12:22:59 AM
Please ask for extra comfort and encouragement for me as I am a little stressed about church and what God wants for me to do to best serve.  Decisions will be made at church and it is a difficult time for me.

Also I need personal discipline in certain areas.

Thank you.

28  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:urgent: marriage and husband on: June 11, 2003, 12:16:44 AM
Praying he will repent, that God will be at work in his life and especially yours for whatever his will is for you.

May God comfort you and give you peace.
29  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Good idea, or unbelievably stupid? on: June 10, 2003, 11:53:50 PM
Not stupid,  I know someone professing buddism and I witness a lot but without preaching.  I just say well,  I do this or I don't do that.  Forgiveness is good and right with christianity the same as buddism but Jesus Christ is the son of God and I believe the Bible, etc.
30  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Family in temporary bind on: June 05, 2003, 06:09:19 PM
Remember not to worry.  Needs will be met.  Trust for it.

Be careful in nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving lt your requests be known unto God. Phillipians 4:6
