Yep. I was thinking T shirts ( I too, will probably need little else if I paint everything). Also bumper stickers, but removeable ones. Like magnetic signs with a sticket pasted on it so you can change them out or remove them. You could print one for yourself on a computer. And I even thought of those triangular signs on the top of the car that pizza places have, and cabs - where there is a message on 3 sided.

I saw today, the coolest thing, in a parking lot. A nice pickup with this lettered on the back "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" with scripture reference. Then, down each side of the truck was lettered Smile, Jesus loves you!

Well, we are to warn them (anyone) because the wages of sin is death. We are to warn them. Even knowing that most will still continue their headlong and willful rush to eternal death. There's two sides to it: attracting people to Jesus and His love, and warning people by talking about sin and it's penalty.

Well, the jury is still out - I don't go out a lot in that shirt, just some of the time. I don't want to be condemning towards people, altho I don't think i feel that way inside. I am angry at lies and sin, and I think we are to speak up for the truth - firmly, definitely, no hemming and hawing. It's as a warning to people. But I don't think many will hear. Still, it has gotten the attention of people, and some homosexuals - maybe it would shock some of them into investigating further? I am very pleasant to people, but you can be pleasant and still be truthful. Stating something is a sin is not a bad thing - they are looking for an excuse to hang onto their homosexuality. Where are the people who are willing to stand up and say "this is wrong!" whatever it is we're talking about. I've also thought of having ready a list of websites or places that are resources to homosexuals to come out of the lifestyle.

Symphony, you posted this scripture "Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the City of David, A savior, Which is Christ the Lord "  which you said would be too long, but it wouldn't really. You could do it like this:

                     For unto you is born this day
                           in the City of David

                               a SAVIOR which is
                           CHRIST THE LORD

                                               Luke 2:11
I don't know how to do it here, but make the first 2 lines little and the words savior and Christ the Lord really big, and the scripture reference little......

I had thought of doing it as a business for a long time too, but always delayed because of complictions - don't know how to silk screen or don't have the money for someone else to do it, or nowhere to do messy work, don't know how to set up a web site, yada yada. If you remove the monetary idea from it and concentrate on the message, it's freeing. Because then you're strictly thinking evangelism. (and, isn't that what it should be??) I think if you do one shirt for yourself and walk around in it, you'll see how you feel about it. You could always do it as a business later if the Lord leads. Altho these kinds of messages don't seem to fly in the Christian bookstores....;-) I saw on the news that some people in SanFran had a HUGE banner - probably 20 ft wide and about 3 ft high, all professional looking. Guess what it said? HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN. (I do feel better now!)

Not to belabor a point, but I had also thougt of some shirts that said (in BIG letters) something like

THE KING IS COMING! (you could put on the back in smaller letters "where will He find you?" ) (or, "how will He find you?")

or

JESUS IS COMING!

or   HALLELUJAH !!
 THE KING IS COMING!!

or LIFT UP YOUR HEADS!
     JESUS IS COMING!

One thing I wanted to mention about the markers....I used a regular permanent one and also bought some for fabric. When I handwashed the shirt, it did run a little - don't know which marker it was, but the ones for fabric say they're washable....

You can also buy things in the office supply section where you can print something on your printer and iron it on. Or, you could buy plain stencil material and cut out your design with a special tool, (you could use tracing paper and carbon paper to trace the letters onto the stencil) then stencil the paint thru the stencil onto the shirt....or, if you can paint neatly, you can just draw your design on your shirt with a fabric pencil and paint it in....you can use craft paint but you have to mix a fabric medium with it....all of this in lieu of having to pay someone to print the t shirts.

Wow, I just found the thread....Yeah, shirts! You can go anywhere in them and they can't really throw you out - you're in your clothes, afterall.....

Most of the suggestions above, IMO, are too many words....it needs to be as few words as possible (like 3 or 4) so it can be big and read from farther away....not some tiny little polo type logo....I really like the suggestion "Jesus wept" above, coupled with something about gay marriage. That was just excellent...

I have also thought of these:
FORNICATION IS A SIN
PAGANISM IS HELL
ABORTION IS MURDER
EVOLUTION IS A LIE
THE JEWS DIDN'T KILL JESUS, OUR SINS DID
Etc.

Also, a friend saw or thought of a shirt with this on the front "What did Jesus ever do for me?" and on the back, Him hanging on the cross....

I mean, I don't think it's being judgemental to state a fact. Jesus did. He didn't gild the lilly. I'm the first to tell people that all sins are wrong in God's eyes and that I'm no better.
I did think of saying this about my HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN shirt - something like, "do you know what this says in hebrew? Jesus Loves You."

So far, I have had no problems wearing the shirt anywhere. Sometimes someone will call out "amen, sister!" I have found that non-christians like the shirt and have had a chance to witness to some about sin in general and our need for a saviour....No one has jumped me so far or been threatening. Even walked right into the public library past 2 cops with the shirt on.....that was fun ;-) But by and large, the most common response is a stare - people can't believe it. I heard one little girl of abou 8 asking her father if he'd seen my shirt...I'll bet they had quite a discussion. (well, they shouldn't be teaching them in schools that it's acceptable)

This one gay guy was pretty upset about my shirt when he waited on me in a store and asked me about it. I tried to give a mild and gentle answer and told him  I didn't think I was any better than he....and I gave him a tract. The following week I went back in there and he sure remembered me, but he was quite nice and I gave him something else to read.....about salvation, etc....

You could also park your car somewhere and drape your shirt on the windshield to use as a sign as people drive by.....

What really bothers me about this (aside from the obvious) is that by the courts waiting to deal with this (SF is now waiting until Mar 29) there will be so many more "marriages" performed that they're likely to go, well, so many have been done so far, we can't just make them all illegal now.....I think it's a deliberate stall technique.

What shirts? The one I mentioned I was wearing (HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN) or is there another also? I'd love to get mine printed but I don't think there is much of a market for the wording....I have another one in mind that would "go over" better.....I'll keep you posted, if I get that far! In the meantime, nothing wrong with a good old white t shirt and some permanent markers...

What we are witnessing in San Francisco is nothing short of complete ANARCHY. The mayor is in flagrant violation of the law - why didn't the governor call out the National Guard to quell the disobedience? That would have been appropriate.

Instead, Bush is too much of a woos to say anything strong, and Arnold waits 5 days to weigh in at all. It's a set up, it's all a set up.

I saw on the news that some Christians are there with signs and all - THEY were arrested for "unlawful assembly", can you beat that? And now, New Mexico and I read Chicago. This is getting really surreal, and we KNOW we are in the last days!

OK, I'm with the majority of you guys in reference to practicing homosexuality being an abomination to Our Lord.  But here's a question:

What about the animals observed that are homosexual or bisexual?  There's supposedly a small percentage of animals that are.  I used my search window months ago and just typed in animal homosexuality and, to my amazement, I couldn't read it all.

What y'all think about this?
 

SIMPLE. We live in a fallen world full of corruption that extends even to the animal kingdom. Before the fall of Adam (and mankind with him), there was no death, no killing, animals were not afraid of man, and they didn't eat or attack each other. So why WOULDN'T perversion (aka homosexuality) enter into the animal kingdom as well? Why would they escape it?

Matthew 5 (this is JESUS speaking, BTW)
20   For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Paul goes on to elaborae in ICo 6:9-11   " Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10   Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11   And such were some of you: but ye are washed, (aka made "righteous" duh) but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

ICo 15:50 expounds a little further....
50   Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption (aka unrigtheousness) inherit incorruption.

Rev 21:27   And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

And finally, Lev 18:22 again defines what actually constitutes abomination - one abomination, there are several in the bible.
22   Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.24   Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

Now, you can twist and pervert that all around all you want to, but save it for someone who really gives a rip, because the only one buying it is YOU, and that to your own eternal destruction. Why wouldn't you want heaven? You'd rather try to cling to self deception than inherit eternal life. Amazing.

I wanted your opinion on something (the Christians only, please!) I posted the following message the other day under Debate, but I think I should have put it here. I want to know what you think? (about what I did below) Is it right? Is it wrong? We're supposed to declare the truth, but how do you do that without "condemning?" And what is the difference between preacing righteousness, as they say Noah did, and exhorting against the evils of the day - and condemnation? I posted the suggestion below in another discussion board, and the homosexuals who wanted to cling to their sin jumped all over me....they clearly want to justify homosexuality, and they kept the few Christians in there busy.....what do you think?

I varied the sizes of the lettering for effect and  colored in some of the letters in the colors of the rainbow and drew a couple of those on there as well.

Then I wore my shirt to some busy places. and into busy stores (without a coat over it!) From people’s response so far, I would say it is a success. Jaws drop. Or people whisper – or ignore. I mean, isn’t it time we spoke up? I’m ready to discuss it with them, though, because I’m no better than they are. We are all sinners who need a savior.

I want to encourage you to go BE  SALT and light in the world. Don’t stay silent. Tell other people, especially people in Massachusetts. Post your successes stories…..

I want to encourage others to try this. There's really nothing store owners or anyone can do because it isn't a placard - it's a t shirt.
And, your topic could be anything, not necessarily this one."

I'm still rethinking it. I thought I would get into more conversations with people, but most people were shocked speechless and most averted their eyes. I saw mouths drop to knees. I don't know that I looked loving, although I was trying to. I have to admit, marching into the Starbucks in the heart of a town run by a gay mayor during the morning rush and only a couple of blocks from City Hall was exhilarating.

Also walked down the street facing traffic, because you can read the printing at least 20 to 40 feet away. After that, it was to the public library. Walked right past 2 cops inside, who never would have let me in with a sign that size. Then off to a busy restaurant where you have to walk around to get to the buffet. The a store with several homosexual employees - they were taking turns walking by to look at the front and back of the shirt. One of the guys asked me about it and I did get a chance to witness a little to him and give him a tract.
