1  Theology / General Theology / Re:Why Crucifixion? on: May 13, 2003, 09:17:40 AM

The word "excruciate" (meaning, “to cause great agony, torment”) comes from the Latin for "from, or out of, the cross.”

2  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Found Religion on: May 10, 2003, 09:07:32 AM
On the path to reconnecting with God I have been forced to question myself, who I am and what I have done in the past.  For me sometimes the past is to hard to look back on.  As a youngun I did some things that I was raised to believe where acceptable, now I find myself questing what I was taught to believe in.  I s there anyone who can help me get over the demons of the past?  The answer is no.  Aint nobody untainted, because once once you start talking about sinnen everyones tainted

3  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Do you have eyes? on: May 09, 2003, 01:31:54 PM
There is Wisdom in the World outside of the Bible.  The philosophies of Men are not irrelevent and  If your reasoning results in kindness, as it obviously does, then I'm all for it.
4  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:Who will win the next Pres. election? on: May 08, 2003, 06:03:19 AM
A democracy in which under 40% vote?
A democracy in which the controlling government controls the Media?
A democracy that has destroyed the most important social document in the U.S.: the Bill of Rights?

If you create enough of a climate of fear you can get the people to follow ANYONE who says they can provide safety and stability.
For the good of the world as well as America. Bush must lose the next election.  Are you all Millionaires?  If you're not, then you are starting to feel the pinch of a deppressed economy.
You're white and Christian so for the time being your safe from 'anti terrorist" persecution.  Just wait, and see how your arab neighbours are being treated.
5  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:Thank You George Bush on: May 08, 2003, 05:30:26 AM
looord.  Yes I was doing what I said he was doing.  In the most blatant way possible.  It was a JOKE.
6  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:Who will win the next Pres. election? on: May 08, 2003, 05:16:04 AM
I would actualy support whatever Democratic Candidate is put forward.  I hate the democrats, but they are the most likely to win and overthrow Bush.
Its hard to know what our politicians think anymore because the republicans have built such a climate of fear around criticising GB and his approach to the "War on Terror"
7  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re Black eyed peas on: May 08, 2003, 05:10:35 AM
Yes drug use is responsible for most violent crimes, but not marijuana use.  I dont smoke by the Way.

With your thinking, we could just do away with most of our minor offenses and let everyone do what they want to. If you've ever speeded, ran a stop sign, ran a red light, or did any number of other minor offenses and didn't get a ticket, you shouldn't advocate anyone getting a ticket

No, what I am saying is that you are in no moral position to make laws if you  break or have broken the laws you make.  Do we let peple with criminal records enter the Public service?  Ofcouse not.  So why do we let the President?

8  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:Who will win the next Pres. election? on: May 07, 2003, 06:07:36 PM
Do you think that someone who acts as a christian yet does not declare himself as Christian is preferable to Someone who declares himself Christian yet does not act like a Christian?
9  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Re:Who will win the next Pres. election? on: May 07, 2003, 03:52:31 PM
You would vote for "A christian candidate"
Doesnt George W qualify?
10  Theology / General Theology / Re:Christ Crucified? on: May 05, 2003, 01:45:10 PM
I think we actually should go to hell for our sins.  Why pass the buck on jesus christ.  Maybe if we accept responsibility for our actions we will retroactively ease his suffering.

I mean, if someone is guilty of Murder, what does it have to do with Christ?  Or is it only "Original Sin?'

Did christ work Retroactively, or did all of the people who lived before Christ go to hell?

11  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Do our Courts require us to Sin? on: May 03, 2003, 04:09:50 PM
Re Bronzesnake:  There are many possible interpretations of the Bible.  How would you go about decifering it in the Way God intended?

Re: Symphony. They do but If its a Sin I'm not sure they should be asking us to do it.
12  Theology / Apologetics / Re:JEWISH!! on: May 03, 2003, 02:47:16 PM
Ahh I see where this is going.  You took offence to My posts about the War.  That's a shame.  It may surprise you but I'm not an Arab or a Muslim. I'm white (not that it makes any difference) and I do actually agree with the teachings of Christ.  Dont Hindus wear Turbins?

I was making a joke about the hats.  and I know he is Jewish.
13  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Do our Courts require us to Sin? on: May 03, 2003, 02:34:46 PM
Yeah.  So you're saying I am good and evil?  Or neither good nor evil?  That's probably true of everyone.
14  Theology / Apologetics / Re: I beg to differ.. on: May 03, 2003, 01:33:49 PM
But did he wear a Red hat or a Blue Hat?
15  Prayer / General Discussion / Do our Courts require us to Sin? on: May 03, 2003, 01:25:50 PM
If i understand correctly then its a Sin to swear on the Bible.

Matthew 5 33

33Again ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, "thall shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the lord thine oaths:

34But I say unto you, 'swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is gods throne;

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by jerussalem; for it is the city of the great king.

36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst make one hair white or Black.

37 But let your communication be Yea, yea; Nay, nay; for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Next time you give evidence:  affirm I guess.  It cant be right.  I think it's probably a suggestion.
