thank Tom. Nice scripture verses. I think the 'pretty kitty' was a skunkYeah, I've never actually petted one. Had'm close the house though. I open the back door. Their tail automatically goes up; and they adopt this defensive posture. they sure are funny to watch. the cat just sits there and stares are him. he sits there and stares back. sort of indifferent to each other. hehe. the DOG is ANOTHER story. hehe. He comes back smelling like...GUESS WHAT. PYUUUUUUWEEEEE.

Hm, have to change it to Christmas Day, now. So, what're you doing today, DW? I've been sorting - all morning. Not presents. Old stuff. Accumulated family stuff from many years. 'Have real nice Christmas music playing, from an FM station, on the radio. Broke for lunch, had a good bean soup, with my Christmas fave, oysters - just a few. Then went outside, petted the putty tat. It's about 33 degrees out now. Much better.

Yes, I've heard of this. I think it's depicted in a movie. 'Funny how you can look at it two opposite ways: Thankful for a truce and fellowship, or Critical, b/c then they went back to shoot each other (thus hypo-critcal) I tend to see it the latter way. What am I doing one moment shaking hands with a man, and the next, shooting him? I tend to see it the latter way. Very confused, hypocritcal, mixed up. A reflection of our general human life: Confused, hypocritical, mixed up. ...singing Silent Night, and then shooting each other. Men behaving as hypocritical beasts. This is just how it seems to me. And I'm a man.

Hi, Bob. Sorry. Me too. I'd like to see them back here. Apparently, they don't check back in at all. I guess they just lurk. Maybe it's just too much emotionally.

Theology / Bible Study / Re:Favorite Chapter?

I think for some reason, from the first verse of the chapter to the last verse of the same chapter, one of my favorite chapters is Ephesians Ch. 5.
I can imagine asking someone else, or if not, reading it myself, outloud, to a congregation of current liberal 'Christians' - that is, perhaps, all of the things going on in the liberal churches today, in groups where they rarely consult, or perhaps just cherry pick, scripture.
And asking someone to just carefully read that chapter from begining to end. It seems so inclusive, or exhaustive, of general Christian and biblical themes, incisive, but never dwelling on each, but moving on. The chapter just seems to move, like a honey bee from blossom to blossom, highlighting essential, and beautiful themes of the meaning of our Life in Him.

Was' everybody doing for Christmas Eve?
It's about that time, now.
For me, it'll prolly just be another work day/eve. Sort, put stuff away, maybe clean up house a little. It's too cold to go out.
I may watch some of a video. For some reason, it just seems like "The Sound of Music".
I think those singing nuns, and mens choir, remind me of Christmas, in that movie.
Just think, the days are starting to get longer now, bit by bit.

Hmmm. "Little guys"?? Translation please. Hm, thanks, 2nd Timothy. Nope, it does sound quite good. Sort of like a Big Mac in dip form. Very funny, DW. Hmm, ooo, thanks, Kris77. Yep, that'll 'bout do it. I think just the pure chips that way. I'm sort of a doctrinal purist, you understand. I like to savor each delicate shaving - like a work of art. Or like Sgt. Friday: "Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts." 'cept for me it's: "Just the chips, ma'am, just the chips."

Hmmmm. Maybe. But, I think, even if I did, that would be very, very dangerous. B/c, then it would go to my head. Then that would be my great downfall. (not that can fall that much farther. ). And secondly, I don't think women can ever be "figured out", anyway. In fact, I think that's a misaligned presumption, that phrase, b/c it implies things about a woman that are God-created(i.e, that is, that she was taken from Adam's rib, and is simply just made that way). And I don't think it's a man's obligation, or prerogative, or even "challenge", to "figure a woman out". A man has to be a man regardless of what the woman is; and that's what a woman wants in a man. She doesn't even care if he brings home the bacon; she needs him to just be a man(although, by definition, "being a man" implies, among other things, bringing home the bacon). A woman will be willing to die for a man, if he's a man. But likewise, a man needs to be willing to die with that same purpose, though it's not so much directed at the woman, as much as it is to something else - or Someone Else. ...who gives us his Holy Spirit, to understand these things.
