She is relatively unknown but has some beautiful songs on various Vineyard recordings as well as a 6 song EP available through her site www.kimmcmechan.com. One of her songs, Could I, is just where I am at so very often... Could I just sit here a while Know that there's nothing that I need to say Safe in the knowledge that You know my ways Love me completely, no need to hide a thing
Could I just stay here a while Letting You melt away all of my fears I feel your comfort when You are so near I'll hide myself in this shelter You've made for me
Could I Could I
Could I just kneel here a while Doing what I was created to do Bowing in reverence, I long to adore You Willingly giving all that I can surrender
Could I just rest here a while Letting You whisper my burdens away In all of my journeys there's no other place Where I find refuge, strength for my weary heart
Could I Could I

I am curious if anybody has read either I Kissed Dating Goodbye or Boy Meets Girl, both by Joshua Harris, and if so, what did you think? My kids are much too rapidly approaching that age.

That sounds like an intersting book. It reminds me of a quote I came across recently in a book titled Four Souls...
Tolerance is a strange word. These days it is being lifted up in America like it is the highest of values. The only sin in the postmodern world is intolerance. Tolerance, though, really doesn't offer all that much. It requires no love or concern for others, no compassion or benevolence. You just have to be able to ignore. Of course, if a society doesn't have any higher virtues, tolerance is the best you can hope for. At least it allows people to coexist without killing one another just because they don't like the other person's appearance, beliefs, or habits. But there's a time for intolerance, too. When I think about what they do with little children here (talking of the child prostitution in Thailand) - and many other places, too - it makes me want to really lay into someone. In circumstances like this, tolerance is not a value at all. In fact, if you have the ability to stop something like that, but instead choose to "be tolerant" - that's straight-out evil.

Thanks for the welcome everybody Allinall, I built a workshop in my backyard where I can go hang out with my powertools and wood when my housefull of women overwhelms me. And I'm hoping that selling one's internal organs is allowed on Ebay.

Hi everybody,
Let's see....... I'm a happily married (20 years) dad of 4 (sheesh, all girls). My work is some mixed up combination of farming and woodworking. Other things I enjoy are reading, music, hiking, camping, photography and kayaking. Oh yeah, I love Jesus Christ and am still amazed at His amazing grace.
