i struggle with this topic. here's my opinions. i think we are to honour the law ,and the law is given authority. we are to live in Christ ,in love and forgiveness ,just like the father offered us by sending Him,we were all once sinners ,so we all deserve death. i just think we should leave the law do it's job wether it's right or wrong is not really our concern. our law is to love one another ,as God as loved us. God offered us forgiveness so are we not to do the same for others ,to be an example of the love of Christ. for can a murderer not be saved.if we don't show this murderer an example of Christs love how will he know if we tell him of this love and cry for him to be killed,do those not of Christ do that. just some thoughts ,anyway. God bless. paul

if we live to please God and not ourselves ,what would we need? maybe food and water, and i believe God would provide for us if we did ,by wanting something ,does this make it a desire as a lustful man ,but if we serve God with all our hearts and only want to please Him ,maybe He would reward us with things we had completely forgotten that we use to long for ,does this make any sense? Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. if we give our all to God and don't worry about our own needs and our own life ,but keep our focus on serving Him ,i'm sure He will reward us greatly ,and maybe even with rewards we have never even dreamt of. God bless. paul

totally agree with what all have said , just like to add , i think it means God knows our limits and would not let us be victim to unbearable temptation , i think He allows us to still be able to see His love through it so if we reach out to Him and keep faith in Him He will see us through it. He knows every man as His limit , and i don't think He would let us be victim to unbearable temptation if He didn't think we were strong enough. We give into some temptation out of a lack of faith , but could any man bear the temptation Christ suffered. He wouldn't let us get in over our heads so that we are unable to chose Him. don't know if i've explained this right. anyway. God bless. paul

the sins you had before you are forgiven of Christ are removed and washed away,Christ keeps forgiven us,but the law forgives no man,no one is saved by death. God bless. paul

sin can be removed from anyone with the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. but you can't remove evil from among the people,as evil is in the world in the form of satan. death doesn't stop sin only gives satan another notch on the scoreboard,if the one put to death was not saved. God bless. paul

what law? doesn't it say(Rom 13: Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. i think i'm starting to understand,God tells us here to love one another,it is only the ruler that should punish as they are given authority by God to punish.but if they are to be wicked leaders we are still to honour them, but this doesn't mean what they do is right.(1Pe 2:18) Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. (Eph 6:7) With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: we are to serve the lord only, but rulers are given authority to punish, but these rulers are still men,and have no authority to murder.i don't think so anyway, otherwise by killing someone who is not saved you are taking away the life they have in which they could become saved, for is the killing of a sinner not the loss of a soul. just how i seem to be grasping it,but i would still appreciate more input, thank you all. God bless. paul

thanks, romans, but i'm still confused,i've now had romans 13v4 qouted(Rom 13:4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. what does this mean?does this justify capital punishment? are all rulers of God? didn't Jesus say Mar 12:17 ... Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. doesn't this mean that the things of caesar as a ruler himself are not the things of God,but just that we should honour them with taxes and whatever else they demand by law, but does this mean they are righteous men of God? what does this mean (Eph 6:12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. is this refering to evil rulers of this world? i don't know i'm struggling with this topic and would appreciate any more imput. God bless. paul

i think i've just been told that capitol punishment is of God,i don't favour the view myself but would be interested in some opinions. i have been told that peter 2v14 explains this, but i just read the chapter and don't think God tells us that capitol punishment is right i think He is just telling us that we are to respect those in authority and not go against their laws, just like Jesus did,but they cruxified Him did that make it right what they did?i see that He was without sin and was not guilty of anything.but is it that we are to live by the law of man so that if they punish us we are not guilty, and only die in the name of Christ and not because we have broke their law.is just saying that we should be prepared to die by the hands of man and by their punishment just like Jesus was. be grateful of any views. God bless. paul

was adam or eve not capable of sin? for they had no knowledge of good and evil,so nothing they did was neither good nor evil, were they capable of going against God? would they even have doubted His word if it wasn't for satan? is satan sin,or is he the temptation of? did satan sin,or was he not capable of sin not being human of the flesh?did he create sin,or is he sin,or both? he tried to tempt Jesus, but Jesus did not give in,but he heard his temptation. was adam and eve guilty of sin by being tempted by satan and trusting him over God? are we always in danger of sin when we are not trying to please God? being forgiven of sin in Christ. are we capable of sinning?
thanks ollie for your reply, you have helped me define sin. but i'm still not sure of the last one God bless. paul

i am trying to define what sin actually is,is it just when man turns away from God and stops trying to please him and go their own way? is it straight disobedience? did satan sin,or was he the creator of sin? did adam sin,or did he open the world up to sin? where did sin come from, and what defines it? is there sin without a law? can only humans of this flesh sin? can we sin if we're in Christ?
God bless. paul
