Hey everyone
I could use a little help with prayer. I have not been well for fourteen years and it has been a daily battle. My family is starting to crumble into a broken heap, my grandson is going through chemo, his dad, my son in law went into a mental breakdown, not sure of all the names of his condition. My dad came over to tell me the doctors did not give him long to live, my nephews tell me my mother is very frail and on oxygen, my mother in law has a growth in her intestines. I feel a bit lost, have been having dreams of suicide, the problem is these dreams are almost comforting, this is what scares me. My heart is so full of fear right now my prayers are only partly there or not at all.
I don't know what to pray for at this moment, I guess my weakness is getting the better of me. Thank you for hearing my heart and for your time and prayer

This song has been on my mind for days, an oldie but speaks volumes
What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
What a great song

Hey all
Even with this new life I'm trying to live I still have worries and fears. Well, things started banging around in my head and I just kept coming back to this,
21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?" 22 Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!"
Okay, so I may be thinking a bit much but this is what held me in thought.
Peter says "Lord, what about this man" I thought this is just like me when I say "Lord what about
my wife"
my children"
our home"
the car"
everything else"
I could just hear my scolding, what is all this to you, everything you worry about are all mine. I have all this in my hand, is there no trust in me.
Get off of the fence and follow after me.
I don't know if any of this even applies to the verses above, could have been a lesson I needed to learn.
I do know it painted a picture of how much faith and trust I really had.

Hello Tom Thank you Let me ask while I'm thinking about it, where would be a good spot to ask questions, thoughts and maybe some ramblings. I'll try not to be to much of a pain. Thanks Lee

Hey
Thought I'd better stop in and say hello and to thank you for having me here. My name is Lee and I live in Illinois, married for thirty plus years to a great wife, we have six great kids. I am a believer but have a lot of trouble with my faith, not doubting God, just weak right now I guess. Anyway, it's nice to be here and I hope to make a few new friends on my way home.
Thanks all
Thank you Roger
