I also used to love the Little House books. I have done a lot of research about Laura Ingalls Wilder. One of the books I really enjoy is called "Saving Graces; The Inspirational Writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder". It's edited by Stephen Hines who wrote at least one other book about her.....I can't recall the title...

I think you will find that today there are very few Christian clubs in public schools. I'm surprised people don't try to get the US currency changed, or the oath the President utter, "So help me God." Maybe I'm uninformed, but it seems like in the past two years there has been a great secular movement to remove all traces of God from public places....

I appreciate all of the insight from you women...yesterday my husband, daughter and I were coming home from Waikiki...tough life, huh?? (We're not rich and famous...just military:)) Anyway, I asked my husband if he believed that when he dies he will go to Heaven, and he got kind of angry about the question. He said that when he dies that's it. There is nothing else and talking about it is for "fools". Now, he is an adult, fine and good, but my daughter is only 4, and I am getting very concerned that she will become like mided with him if she continues to see him not going to church, not talking about God, not caring about salvation, etc..., Any opinions on this???

I really feel as if if someone is white and didn't own slaves, and doesn't treat other races differently, then why should he have to answer for something that happened so long ago? Is there never going to be a day when the white man is forgiven? I thought equality was about being the same as others, not trying to drive a wedge between us. This post may not be eloquent, but read what my message is, ignore the semantics involved....For a Christian forum I am very surprised at how critical some of you are...

I am glad you came here for support. I have suffered from panic attacks for the past ten years. It is discouraging, but I think the key is to never give up your hope and to surround yourself with good friends. Also, seek second, third, fourth etc.., opinions. A lot of times stress can cause debilitating physical ills. Perhaps you could find some type of support group through your church- or even start one yourself:) We all need others, and you are right to pray consistently. God led you to this forum for some encouragement and support...He won't let you down...

It's difficult...My husband could be angry with me because I was one person when he married me, and now I expect him to change as I did...maybe that's not fair....but I do believe that if he were a Christian we would be a lot happier...it's always more peaceful in a home where the parents are in sync...my opinions...

Okay, so Charles Stanley, for example, would be okay to watch, or Robert Schuller, because they are televising an actual church service. Is that correct? Thank you for your answers:)

Are you sick of my questions yet? I have to wonder, then, why so many long time Christians watch these people. I know people who know the Bible inside out and they watch these shows daily...Just wondering...

This won't solve all of your problems, but my friend has a great idea for getting her 4 year old to clean her room. She goes into the bedroom with her and says, "Pick up just the crayons." "Now pick up just the shoes." ETC..., You may have more fun this way than having to nag your children. Just my bit of advice:) moira3
