1  Theology / Bible Study / Re: Verse For Today on: August 02, 2010, 09:26:38 AM
Jeremiah 14

Drought

1 This is the word of the LORD to Jeremiah concerning the drought:

2 "Judah mourns,
her cities languish;
they wail for the land,
and a cry goes up from Jerusalem.

3 The nobles send their servants for water;
they go to the cisterns
but find no water.
They return with their jars unfilled;
dismayed and despairing,
they cover their heads.

4 The ground is cracked
because there is no rain in the land;
the farmers are dismayed
and cover their heads.

5 Even the doe in the field
deserts her newborn fawn
because there is no grass.

6 Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights
and pant like jackals;
their eyesight fails
for lack of pasture."

7 Although our sins testify against us,
O LORD, do something for the sake of your name.
For our backsliding is great;
we have sinned against you.

Also a Drought of His Word in our land
As you read on in the next two chapters you see the prophets are giving the ppl the words which tickle their bellies,instead of Gods given Words which would stab their hearts because of their Sins in the land.

Hi Roger again today,another subject this time.

Do we have a GFA thread on this Site?
This is a mission very close to my heart.

Hi Roger

'Tongues of Worship'  'Oh for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemers praise'

When in protracted times of prayer alone, whether laying on my bed,walking out under the stars late at night or standing in the midst of trees alone in His creation, i speak out laud most times as this helps with focus & concentration. Some times i speak out His words(Scripture verses) back to Him as a man amongst the enemies kingdom crying out to heaven throne. At times my tongues of worship are as in Rev 4 & 5 repeating with them their praise by joining with them in tandem from the earth. For short times i speak in unknown languages of men, in touching the One who understands the depths of my being,receiving back the longing which He has given.
Joining with the Angels in worshipping The One who 'was' in eternity past before all that we now see was made.
In other words just being in His presence, recognizing Him as the sole centre of ALL creation & Glorious being who is the very only Spirit of Life.

Hi Tom
Thank you for your kind words. We stayed in the French Pyrenees high in the mountains not far from Andorra in a renovated farmhouse.
The Lords voice is very laud and strong in such an area of great natural beauty.
Three times while there The Lord gave me different illustrations from His Word as i waited on Him during mountainside prayer walks.
Some of the time i spake quietly in tongues of worship and waited upon Him. I have found while in prayer to never set in stone the agenda before hand, but to be open to His leading.

The rushing water down from the peaks spake to me in understanding for the first time how His voice is like 'Many waters' while close to them (Him) all other voices are drowned out) my grandson was speaking and i had to get away from the falling waters to hear him properly. Another time we were lost as to the way back,so we stopped and were quiet and there in the background was the distant sound of the rushing steam. Which gave us our bearing to wards the right path.

I have been impressed by this study and responses given.
7  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: PROPHECY - SIGNS - NICE BIBLE STUDY! on: June 22, 2010, 06:45:58 PM
Thx Tom for your welcome to post here.

The UFO / Strange flesh / Cloning, i will leave as it is only a matter of opinion.

But the days of Lot are really worrying.

Our governments here in the UK and yours in USA(i believe) have now passed laws that our very young school children are to be taught that Sodomite ways are normal /natural in our society today and any parents not sending their children to school on those days will be prosecuted. In England 3 families are undergoing this right now. 2 are Christian couples and one Muslim for keeping their children at home on Gay celebration days.

Very soon Christians will either go along with it OR stand and be counted for upholding His ways.

I'm of on holiday tomorrow to France,see you when we return, if we are not taken up in the mean while.
Return Soon King Jesus

Thy Kingdom Come Thy will be done ......

Not sure if this has been mentioned here yet!

As in the days of Noah.....  The return of the Nephilim in the last days. We now have unnatural cloning as one acpect, along with reported space craft activity.

As in the times of Lot.... Homo sexuality,idleness,pleasure,wealth.

Homo sexuality has always been around as we know,was rampant in the old Roman empire and has descended upon us as with a flood in these last days.
But but never has it been in the churches before,often condoned by them as ok and even spoken of as a gift from god,small g.

These are two signs i am aware of of late.

Thank you Tom for posting this sermon
10  Theology / Apologetics / Re: Hell is Real... on: June 18, 2010, 05:12:31 PM
Gods Wrath will be poured out without mixture we are told in His Word. To this i fully agree.

Sadly more folk within the churches 'privately believe' that a God of Love will not act unreasonably and condemn ppl to Everlasting Hell,but will punish them for a short time only and then will throw them into the Lake of fire where they will be annihilated for good,where their name will be blotted out for ever.
'Publicly'  evangelical ppl know the party (Biblical line) so agree outwardly it will be Everlasting punishment,but in their hearts believe differently.

There is a real shift from Everlasting punishment to Annihilation after the Judgement.
Just as there is a shift from Normal marriage to Civil partnerships.
Just as there is a shift to Women Ministers and Elders.
Along side our rights being all important, to none for the unborn child.

The unadulterated Word of God is bad news in today's society of lawlessness.

This spirit is rampant here in the UK and is i believe in the US also !

Hi Tom

By no means do i think Pastor Roger was saying the sinners prayer is enough.
I can see that he is spot on in what he says.
I very much appreciated his sound words on the subject of Hell.
Yours In Him Peter
12  Theology / Apologetics / Re: Hell is Real... on: June 15, 2010, 09:54:49 PM
I was shown this a year ago while praying

'The Sinners Prayer is not enough'

A large room was seen afar off,one of many different rooms, set in the side of a great hole like a very deep pit.

Upon getting closer I could make out a name written on it..

The name on the door read…We all prayed the sinner’s prayer.

Upon entering in by the door my eyes beheld an incredibly large throng of folk within of all ages, some with crucifixes around there necks, but with all having a Bible in one hand.
Many were laying upon beds writhing in pain as upon a death bed , with a constant stream of words pouring out of there mouths.

I asked one of them a young woman why she kept saying the same words over and over again she said, ‘ I was told I was now forgiven and upon death would enter heaven’

Enquiring as to why she had not arrived there after her death she replied.
'We were not told to forsake the world with all its attractions or that we should seek to die to our old selfish interests and then press on towards the prize of the high calling,we thought we would enter into the Eternal City by right of having prayed the prayer'

I asked why she had thought so while on earth,she replied , 'It was like a kind of magic words to me that having said them I would be safe.
Here I cannot rest, partly because I keep hearing screams all around me of 'if only' 'If only' I had read this book ,if only I had'

Trying to get away from the noise I found an old man lying alone making a faint noise that I could hardly hear coming in short gasps from his mouth, as I looked at him I could see his lips were cracked and dry with what appeared like small maggots pushing themselves out of the sides of his mouth and going straight up into his nose. His eyes were blood shot and very sad.
13  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: JESUS CHRIST - KING OF THE JEWS! on: June 08, 2010, 09:32:03 AM
Hi there folk,I'm new here and love Israel BTW

I love John 18 in this connection of Jesus The King

33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
