1  Theology / Bible Study / The Loophole in Gods Love on: June 22, 2008, 07:45:11 AM
Romans 8:37-39 (New King James Version)
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sounds pretty much all inclusive.   But its not.  Life and death have no power over Gods love for us.  Angels, His first creations can have no say of His love for us.  Satan tries daily to no avail to seperate us from the love of God.  No pincipalities or powers, no governments can seperate us.  Some are persecuted for that love, but God never leaves nor forsakes His chosen ones.  Nothing now nor to come can get between us and God.  He is but a breath away and even in the revelations to come His promises are there, embedded in His Word.   He will never leave us.  There is nothing too high, nor nothing too deep that Gods love can not cross or transend to reach us.  The next is "any other created thing" which pretty much covers God created or man created thing can overcome or keep us from the love of God.  So what gives ?  What is the loop hole in Gods love ?

The scripture did not include our past.

Too many times we dwell in the past.  Allow the guilt of our flesh to bind us and hold us back from the love that God wants to share.  We repent and ask forgivness, but do you really leave them there ?  The bible says lay your burdens on Him.

Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the LORD,And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved

There is no reason for Gods love to be held back by our past whether it is 10 years ago or our sins of yesterday.

2 Corinthians 4:15-17
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory

Here we see where Gods grace and mercy are there for us every day.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Why did God sacrifice Himself in the flesh ?  LOVE.  If God loves you this much, why carry your past around ?  God not only can but wants to carry it for you.  He wants to cast it as far as the east is from the west.  What are you thinking ?  "That's ok God, this is mine, I'll take care of it"...If that were true then you could save yourself.  Don't fall through the only loophole that can keep you from Gods love.  When you repent, give it all to God, let Him know, "I am leaving this here with you Lord and I will never look (think) upon it again"  Do that with heartfelt sincerity and not only will a load lift from your shoulders, but you better brace yourself for an impact of Holy love unlike anything you have ever felt......God bless ...and enjoy..

4  Theology / Debate / Re: what denomination are you? on: June 21, 2008, 07:21:50 PM
Hello Scotty,

Stereotyping and assumptions are logical and natural when someone tries to make an issue out of things like this. Attaching "don't" to the issue becomes an invitation to "do". I know, sad it is.  Very few of us here pay any attention to tags, labels, denominations, and traditions of men. Instead, we have the Holy Bible, and our fellowship is in CHRIST. Our primary purpose here is the distribution of the GOOD NEWS - THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD. We don't work for any man-made brick and mortar churches, rather for the ONE CHURCH not made with human hands - THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST. CHRIST Himself is the HEAD. Every member must be Born Again before they can enter, so there are NO pew warmers.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thats wonderful, to follow the Word of God has always been my desire, I am glad that desire is shared here.  I guess this was a "set up" question.  After all why ask if it is irrelevant.  Thanks again for the welcome.

God bless
Chris
5  Theology / Debate / Re: Acts 2:38 Baptism in Jesus Name on: June 21, 2008, 01:22:53 PM
To me I see , that in Acts 2:38 where Peter is accusing them of the murder of their Messiah. they repond with what shall we do ? What can they do , they killed him, and we can't bring him back. Peter than tells them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins  ( for the murder ) and they will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. I say that only Jews can receive this baptism and that why it not used. But in Matt 28: 19 this baptism is to the world and has to be used with the Abrahamic Covenant, and this baptism will not be force ,because it is future.

This baptism is not just for the Jews and is very much alive today

Joel 2
28 "And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

Romans 10
12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,

Galatians 3
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colosians 3
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
